Heck, I tried an Alt Run and I got to lvl 3 town hall in like 2 hours, then I got to 4 the next day. Getting started is easy, continuing, like at where I am, is hard. Also, am I the best on PokeMMO? it seems that most peeps are in the TH 7 range. I'm in the late 8s, trying to get my defenses up then start upgrading.
Also, to people still in the beginner stages such as 5-7, you will need to upgrade your collectors. They are definitely worth the time in the long run, and upgrading them will get you ahead faster. If you're trying to go for Dark Elixir and you don't have a drill, Farming and Lightning Spells are your best friend.
I think jindu is TH9.

yes get it, its a good game. Something I regret is not starting sooner, since time is the worst thing about this game and the length it takes to get what you want and need. Its better to just start now even if you're not active so you can get some of the things out of the way

Also, at sub200 a decentish (if you have tons of spare elixir) way to get DE is to just revenge those one troop attacks with lightning spells at the storage. Takes a while but with 3 L4 spells you can get 400-500 from good storagesyeah, I'm not able to stay active enough to stay at sub200. I'm just going back up to 1k-1.3k and raiding how I used to. Not quite as easy as sub200, but much easier to maintain

I used to own one of the biggest competitive clans in the school, but some of the kids in my grade are Champions that sometimes get accepted into the top 50 clans. Literally, these kids are spending $1000 a week to help support their gemming and upgrading. Their raiding sucks, so they depend on gems. It's kind of funny. Now most people are scattered on different clans, but there's one Main Supreme Clan that's owned by a teacher (YES OUR TEACHERS PLAY CLASH WITH US), so I reside there.

My storages are fine but I never really bothered with the collectors because it takes too long, I get most of my resources from raiding, and it would have left my storages full of unnecessary resources (the upgrades are so cheap). But yeah at this point L8 is starting to get ridiculous.
it doesn't hurt though, and the passive resource buildup really helps if you can't be as active in your raiding. there is no such thing as unnecessary resources (although it does suck to fill up your storages and not be able to use them right away)

Yeah, that's what I did for L5 and 6, but recently it's become pretty difficult because defenses and clan castle upgrades are expensive. At some point I'll start just upgrading resource collectors (they're only L8 right now, lol) and working on my walls.

Seriously though, those 75 walls alone cost you 15 million gold, fuck that. I'm upgrading every single other building before I start on L7 walls.lol, I can pretty reliably raid for about 1 mil gold and elixir a day (although starting work again has cut that back severely). I only upgrade walls when I have more gold than I need for my current upgrade (or if I'm only using elixir)
