Shiny competitive pokemon = so much yes :D (perfectly fine with them being untradeable)
still think the uncomp shines of lesser value should be tradeable.
In my opinion I think that shinies (or other cosmetic items/money) are perfect prizes for competitive tournaments.
Whats the point of making comps to join a tourney if the prize is something to make more comps?

why is the economy and game soooooooooooo corrupt that it needs a complete server wipe?

I strongly disagree with a server wipe and im a seasoned player. I know a bunch of seasoned players that would leave if they were to wipe.
the people that want a wipe are the dedicated players who play currently. the ones that would grind and get their stuff back in a month. Noobs shouldn't be taken into account cuz the wipe wouldn't affect them
Casuals,long term players, shiny hunters and now
breedersrefiners wouldn't want to lose their hard earned pokes/items/money.The most important reason is because this is a Pokemon game
As weird as it may sound, People get attached to their pokemon/trainer unlike most games.
I'm pretty sure no one would want someone to click "New Game" on their fav pokemon game without permission.

People leave this game cuz its too geared toward experienced players.
(MMO's need casual players to function)
I feel bad for the casual players who want to have a good time playing a game with their friends but cant.
experienced players leave cuz they are unhappy with an update

MY ENTRY

Pokemon - Girig
Lonesome Pokemon
Evolves into Girafarig through Happiness
Normal Type
POKEDEX ENTRY
Girigs are known to be very lonely pokemon. They are usually rejected by other pokemon and therefore spend their time alone.
It likes to cover its tail with a sock puppet in hopes that one day they will have a friend. They often talk to their tail as if it is alive.
Ok so for my entry I really wanted to stay far away from the theme of baby pokemon being a smaller version of its evolved form so I decided to make an original design and theme.
Since it is a baby pokemon i thought it should have a cute theme. I tried to make this pokemon based on friendship. When it is a baby it is lonely but when it evolves it gains a friend :D.
I picked Girafarig becuase:
1. It is a very underrated pokemon
2. It deserves some type of evolution
3. Its design is really interesting and its theme is cool

City: Neostorm Heights from the Genso region by Deanopiero
[spoiler]Neostorm Heights (Neon, Thunderstorm)
This small town on a high plateau in the middle of the central mountain range is famous for its great/awful weather depending on who you speak to. The town is situated next to a lake that flows into a waterfall, and has an enclosed bridge linking to the entrance of Fissure Pass (the only way to reach the eastern towns on foot). It has become a local hotspot for Pokémon battles in the absence of a gym. Regular lightning strikes are drawn to the rod set atop the weather station just outside of town and create an impressive backdrop to the area.

I chose to do Neostrom heights because of how unique it was. I wanted to exaggerate the weather in this map especially with the lightening. I chose to create the map in the 3rd gen style because that is my personal fave :3. Good luck to all!

Let me give you an example to make it clearer.
Let's say someone decides to do Andromeda City as their entry and tries to use the exact overworld map from Goldenrod City. That would constitute plagiarism. However, if they were to take bits and pieces to create a distinctly different overworld view, that would be fine. The key is that the entry must be distinctly different from any already existing map. We will decide what is or is not distinctly different.
Thanks for the clarification! makes sooo much more sense now XD. My entry did use sprites from previous games and i was scared that it might be considered plagiarism. (my entry looks like an overhead view of a town from a gba rom but completely original and not in any game)

im not sure if this was answered but am i able to create a map using tiles and sprites from a pokemon game? (such as different overworld sprites like trainers and buildings?)
