The chance of encountering gets a reset every month? Let's say I catch or kill/flee a raikou, does it increase my chance to find a Entei?

I like ledian because of the design and exeggutor because it was my fist pokemon card... nostalgia counts too ?

this is how i understand it in case of everstone+band: so 1 IV is with the power weight and 100% inherit leaving out 5 IVS that have this chances: 2 average IVs: 2/5 ivs = 40% average 2 max IVs from better parent: 2/5 = 40% max 1 "determined normally that will be passed, so not averaged": 50% x 1/5 = 10% max or 50% x 1/5 = 10% min

But i went to the daycare to put two shinies together and see what the porcentages say and i believe there was a 10% percentage of low roll.. (in a few hours when im home i'll check this again and show you what i mean) i believe 10% would mean 50% of low roll on one of the five notbanded IVs... Sooo idk if im mistaken or the percentages of the daycare are wrong or...

I read it and also used the in game information and i think i understand it now: If i breed 2 shinies, both with band: out of the other 4 IVS without band: 2 will be maxed and 2 will be averaged If i breed 2 shinies, one with band, one with everstone: of the 5 IVS without band: 2 will be maxed and 2 will be averaged and 1 will be 50/50 max or low (not planning to breed anything without any band, so didnt pay atention to that option) (please correct me if i'd be wrong)

I thought because i start with male i needed a first breed with ditto to make it female and afterwards i just get males from same egg group

Hi, I would like to start breeding my shinies to 5x31 or at least "semi comp" ivs I know the normal breeding mechanics and if i'm not mistaken the shiny breeding mechanics are a bit different. I believe because of that, in general people also use other tactic, because there might be higher chance of rolling the high number. Is there any guide or any advice on how to breed for 5x31 or 2x31 + 3x25+ shinies? And do you guys have any idea how much it would cost me starting from a 0x31 (shitty ivs) male shiny? PS: It are OT shinies and a requirement is to maintain the OT... (i guess this might influence the costs for me)

So if i understand it correctly: I gain points every duel i win, with which i can buy the matchmaking rewards (left side of my image). This rewards change every two weeks. However my points for the seasonal reward (hat) keep adding up the entire season (3 months), even if i use points to get the matchmaking rewards. So the only question i still have is, when a hat returns as a reward, does it return in the same tier?

Hello, i have 2 questions about matchmaking, because i would like to go for a seasonal reward. First one is about the seasons. How long is one season? For example in the image it says the rewards expire in 7 days, so this means in 7 days a new season start? Second question is, i saw some seasonal rewards return. For example the aura cap is a seasonal reward now and was a reward in a previous season too. Do they always return in the same tier?

Hi, I think i'm fine but just to remove this little bit of doubt. I have a question about next situation: 1. i caught some pokemon in the wild with my first username 2. i started breeding them with dittos 3. i changed my username 4. all pokemon i had changed OT to my new username 5. i continued breeding them with dittos 6. a shiny hatched 7. the shiny i have has my new username as OT All logical, so the logical thing would be if i start breeding my shiny now (first with a shiny ditto to get it female and afterwards with male shiny pokemon) it continues having my username as OT. I'd just like someone to confirm me this because if it would result in being unknown ot or OT*, i will cry!!

Although there is already a shiny existence thread in which people post their succesfull shiny-hunts, i needed a thread to post my fail, hopefully to be joined by other failures so we can share the pain. After having invested more or less 160M in ditto's, i'm now at 540k so i'll have 3 boxes to finish my shiny-hunt soooo i guess this will be my shiny-hunt-fail-story. Started with all the COVID-situation breeding eggs a year ago and after more or less 55k eggs still no luck :'( Please share your failed shiny hunts where you also never found the shiny you looked for :'(

So does this also mean if youre already sure that you win, its better to keep stalling to get more points? And then try to get the win as late as possible? Is the point system time-related or turn-related btw?

Hi, Can someone give me some advice how to grind matchmaking for the reward. I think some seasonal vanities are very cool and I'd like to be able to try to get some and for that I want to grind matchmaking. I don't really know how the point-system works, so if someone can clarify this for me, it would be nice. Also I'd like some comments about how hard it will be for someone who doesn't play competitive to grind matchmaking. Will it be possible to achieve the rewards? And what kind of teambuilds work the best (balanced, hyperoffensive, defensive,...) to grind the matchmaking? (I don't have any teams yet, I'll have to build some) And would I have to build different teams in one tier, or can I just spam the same team an entire season or is that going to fail hard? To be clear, I'm not looking for tips to win tournaments or anything. What i want to say with this is: If i can win 2 games and lose 1 game in one hour with an offensive team and it gives me more points than winning 1 game in one hour with a defensive team, I prefer the first even if i lose more with it.

with that logic everything is broken at the end, because you'll have to lose to some move at the end... in your case perish song, but could also have been any other move that was super effective or strong enough it's normal that at some point in a duel you'll reach a point where you can't win anymore, this doesn't mean the moves that will make you lose after that moment are "broken" I wish you good luck with avoiding to arrive in this situation again and i wish you good luck in next PvP battles!
