1. Sykest is like present day Trunks... oh snap.. new idea.

     Dragonball Z [LYLE] Style

Goku: Robofiend (Ya, the pretty boy superstar that does it all)

Vegeta: DoubleJJ (disgruntled old character who wants to be the best but isn't)

Piccolo: TheBloo (protective old fella who loves him some Gohan)

Krillin: CodyLRamey (obviously)

Gohan: Eggroll (young God)

Trunks: Sykest (cocky version of the future)

Goten: Quakkz (the future)

Kami: JSTUD (Wise old sage, also green)

King Kai: KingBowser (da King)

Mr. Popo: PokeCROmaster (scary trucker who does his own thing)

Bulma: TinyMai (well... girl)

Mr. Buu: Rhastaman (happy go friendly dude who can kick serious ass)

Mr. Satan: Fishtickles (usually attempts to take all the credit)

Tien: Yangsam (bad ass who is quiet but always shows up for the fight)

Yamcha: Kizhaz (side character that doesn't do much in regards to dueling)

Yajirobi: ShunGTX (Guy no one likes but is still around)

Uub: Corroios (Bad guy turned good guy)

EDIT: Added Bad Dudes

Radditz: UmadBrah (ye, old meta rival that was around when we sucked, but got us going)

Freiza: Amanu (interesting fella that had a huge following but typically burned his allies)

Cell: Frags (consistently good opponent that only got better)

Buu/Bibbidy: Corroios/TopQuake (baddy duo that just hated us from the beginning)

GarlicJr: Barrage (ye, funny while it lasted but never really mattered)

Bahaha i love so many things about this. Not even mad you put me as krillin (i guess my victory against you was my destro disc actually hitting its target) bc he gets who was arguably the "hottest" girl in the series.
android_18___red_ribbon_by_lie_chee-d5ew

Fuck yea!
The only thing i got against this is that krillin plateaued while i am continually getting better.

2. Oh my god those moments killed me. You just have to tell yourself, "Ok survival instincts, you better kick in test time and make me a super saiyan test-taker".

EDIT: Finally added my assessment to the Suspect Thread. Damn... never would have done it if we didn't have 3 hours of no patients in the ER tonight.

Nurse: Dr JJ (im sure thats what they call you haha) a little girl was shot and we need you now

JJ : Hold on im pokemoning. Gosh.

Btw i liked ur post on the testing board. I wish more ppl were commenting on it. A lot of ppl dont even know it exists

3. Ok i understand the suggestion and will try to explain it. What volpi suggests:

Umbreon uses wish and switchs out

Opponent sents low hp snorlax/whatever

Player predicted this and faints the pokemon

Wish "kicks in" healing no one(since the intended target died)

Opponent sents next pokemon

How it is:

Umbreon uses wish and switchs out

Opponent sents low hp poke

Player predicted and faints the pokemon

Opponent sents next poke

Wish kicks in.

Using wish like this requires 0 skill, it doesnt encourage good predictions at all..

I still dont see the problem. I mean sacing low hp pokes for a free wish isnt much diff than sacing low hp pokes for a free switch. Ur sacing a poke, thats a poke that may have been able to be saved by a wish used against a diff poke but you chose to sac him so another may live. Its called strategy, and while i would agree to use some mechanics from use later gen pokemon games I think that until Pokemmo gets those later gens implemented into the game we should try to be conservative when it comes to doing that kind of thing, and idt that the sac-wish strategy is worth doing that for.

4. I agree with this idea. However, what about those who don't use starpueces to determine HP? Personally I just test HP against Karps, pidgeys, rattatas, gastlys, and bellsprouts/abras. This way I save money and time (honestly I am able to check this well before the next egg hatches). For people who use this method, would the Hidden Power summary stay as "???" . I do think it is a good idea, but I think it is a bit more complex than it seems... (unless it is changed to where the HP is determined in the summary automatically at lvl 1, but I don't think people want that).

man I can ramble.

Perhaps for the method I mentioned above, there could be a flag system. This could possibly work where the effectiveness of the HP is recorded according to the type it was used against. There would be a separate tab that lists all of the possible HP types.

i.e. omanyte uses HP against pidgey
step 1
Has no effect against flying = true
Has no effect against normal = true
(types listed are narrowed to ghost and ground)

step 2 omanyte uses HP against rattata
Has no effect against normal = false
(now only ground is listed)

therefore HP = Ground

If starpieces are used, in the HP summary tab it would immediately narrow it down to the type described by the man in Lavendar.

Yea my suggestion does 2 main things

1st and the most improtant makes HP trading safer. You cant scam by lying about a poke HP. (not that that has been a problem.)

2nd Makes the value of star pieces and their usefulness goes up. In order to trade a poke with an HP you have to get a starpiece. Otherwise you wont get ppl to buy.

If you implemented a flag system then #2 would just disappear. Personally idc about the convenience this suggestion adds (which it does make keeping up with ur hp pokes more convenient) or the lack of convenience it adds to ppl who test HP by using the move on certain pokemon. And even for those ppl, you can test the move and if its a good HP you can still use a starpiece so that you dont get it confused with the rest of the pokes.

5. I dont disagree with this suggestion, nor do i really care all that much about it either. Crits are annoying sure, but in most cases i would say they arnt common enough for me personally to really care about. With that being said the actual impact of the crits when they do happen can devastate a player. Also there are those times when the amount of crits that may happen in a match or during a torny is ridiculous. IE Frags vs Bowser Masters of Masters round 2. ThinkNice was also hitting the crits at an outstanding rate throughout one of the masters tornys. Those two examples imo are exceptions to the rule, not the rule itself but are great examples on how crits can be ridiculous.

I think i would lean more towards supporting this idea than disagreeing with it, but overall it doesnt matter to me.

6. When viewed in the context of the entire OP, it's clear he meant for the "How it should be" to look like this:

Turn 1

Wish was used

Turn 2

Pokemon make their moves or switch out (Notice that baton pass would count as this stage)

wish kicks in

trainer chooses new pokemon if his previous pokemon fainted

As for the rest, we simply differ in opinions here, so I'll leave it at that. Personally, I have no problem with gen 4 mechanics being implemented where gen 3 mechanics aren't optimal.

Okay i gotchya. And yea differ opinion. Which gen had the best wish mechanic is completely subjective. If the mechanic was clearly 100% better no doubt about it then yea implement it. But thats just not the case here.

You would be perfectly able to pass wish with or without baton pass in 4th gen mechanics.

That is as long as the pokemon LIVE to receive the wish, not if 1 pokemon is sacked for another to receive the heal.

Yea you should change OP to look a little more like sloopy's version. I thought you wanted wish to be activated b4 you make the first switch. Which would make no since to me.

7. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't have an extremely solid grip on the 4th gen mechanics of Wish, but I think his problem is that Wish is currently way too easy to use. Even if your wish user dies, you still get a free heal on other teammates. The way Wish is presumably supposed to be used (in 4th gen) is through wish-passing. This way, you'd have to put a little effort into healing your teammates. Doesn't mean you can't still do it, though.

Meh even if this is correct i still dont support. If you want to sac ur wisher to get a free heal on someone else then that should be an option IMO especially since that is an option in gen 3. When we get our gen 4 pokes, gen 4 mechanics then it can change.

How it should be:

Turn 1

Wish was used

Turn 2

Pokemon make their moves or switch out.

Wish kicks in

Trainer choose new pokemon

But according to this it sounds to me that he doesnt want wish to be able to be passed at all. If wish kicked in then the trainer chooses the new poke then its impossible to pass a wish. The same prolly could be said for BP. If this was the way gen 4 works then wish is practically useless. But idt it is.

I could still be wrong on the intentions of OP bc it looks to me that the only diff. btwn gen 3 and 4 wish is that you dont pass a wish if the poke thats active at the end of the second turn dies due to the opponents attack. Thus giving up the ability to sac a weak poke in return for a free heal on anther, which seems to be the OPs main problem. And like i said thats fine when we get 4th gen, but i dont agree with it for pokemmo atm.

8. U do have a real way to prove it. Just duel the guy who question if it really is HP electric and then try it against some pokemon with weakness and resistance to electric. Example Gyarados and Tangela (rock is also effective vs gyarados but normal to tangela where electric is not very effective at tangela)

you can test it and have that person spectate, however that takes time and effort. this will make it easier for lazy people like me. especially if you have 50 horsea's you just bred or whatever.

I actually have never thought about that. Good idea for the time being, but it would still be nice to have it displayed on the stat screen after you paid the starpiece to the psychic in Lavander town. That would also raise the value of starpeices and make grinding them more worth it.

9. I don't see the need for this, even not in game you use a laptop/desktop/netbook etc. pretty much these always come with programs/accesories called "Notepad" or "Sticky Notes"

Those are what I use to remember the names, I nickname my pokeman, put it on the Sticky Note, narrow the IVs, find Hidden Power and put a dash then the HP Type.

It doesn't take that long of use and I don't think it should be done to take up the Devs time when we can use something that's already on our computer.

The need isnt for my own benefit. I can write down hp and IVs too. But if i want to buy or sell something with a specific HP how am i to prove or have proof of the hp without leveling the pokemon to a level that allows the IVs to be narrow enough to prove w/o a doubt that the poke does indeed have the HP i or the person i am buy from says it has.

10. The reason for this is simple, i can say my kingdra is HP electric but i have no real way to prove it outside of lvling it to a point that will narrow the ivs enough to take away all doubt about it. It basically makes HP trading a lot safer, and HP has become a much bigger thing that it use to be so to me making trading for HP safer would be a great thing to do.
