1. Looks like the mountain is just upside down for everyone else and LYLE are standing on the plateau at the top.
2. Such a haunting and helpless feeling it is to long for a thing out of reach, out of touch. Why long for such a banal thing as a touch? The logical mind would surmise that a touch of the mind would be satisfactory. The physicality of any touch would seem superfluous, needless, senseless. Not a necessary aspect of human interaction. What is an existence if not a conscious one? How, with all the complexities of the mind of the individual, does a single desire manage to seem so overwhelming? A touch of the thought would never equate a touch of the hand. EDIT: Haterz gun hate
3. But if it's a tournament we can only go one round. Maybe we should make it a scrim session instead.
4. Nah, I don't think anyone will mind. I think I'd kind of like that. I mean, we can, right? This thread is still here. We must be able to attend something still.
5. Only if you let me clash yours an equal but appropriate amount.
6. I'm not sure if I am okay with this.
7. Team name: Peerless Tag: PRLS Registered players: Amanu, ThinkNice, Barrage, NlCEGUY Captain: Barrage
8. For the good of this tournament, I very strongly suggest you ban Starmie. It has no reliable counters in this metagame and little to no checks outside of perhaps Venusaur, Vileplume, Lanturn, Lapras, Ludicolo and Exeggutor to a degree. Keep in mind these are not counters, they are simply checks, because none of these Pokemon like taking the wrong hit repeatedly. Normal types such as Snorlax and Blissey are very reliable counters in standard meta because of their defensive typing, having no special weaknesses at all. Starmie would be extremely boring to have present in this metagame and would easily dominate. It is literally the single-most powerful Pokemon without the presence of normal in generation 3. Its massive coverage, speed, and power are just too much to handle.
9. This is really awesome! Cool to see the thought process behind your choice too. Good luck in the contest.
10. Elfen lied is one of my favorites! You should check out Golden Sun and FFTA if you are a fan of JRPGs.
11. Hi. Your profile is deliciously full of FFTA. I approve.

12. No. This is the most linear and boring idea for a tournament I have ever heard.
13. Welcome to the forums! If you need a hand with anything, lots of people around here are willing to help you out.
14. I speak on behalf of Peerless as a whole when I say we are shaking in our boots at this terrifying new competitive force.
15. I think you should all focus on giving people incentive for people to show up to the current tournaments rather than add more gimmicks or formats that people won't really be inclined to attend.
16. I'm referring to the fact that there is somewhat of a "gimmick" or inconsistency in having different tiers. You don't know that one team is better than the other in a certain format with the system Archinix is proposing. One player could have lost to the other simply because they are less experienced in a given format or ill-prepared for it. Doubles are nowhere near as popular as singles and 3OU/3UU is a very broken meta and I am disappointed to see it run for any serious official event. People regard team tournaments as one of the best ways to prove themselves in the competitive scene, and it's nice to know there was no b.s. involved, to keep it concise. It would suck to add additional variables and takes away from the fun and bragging rights, too, if people start complaining about "oh well it's because I had to play 3OU/3UU that I lost my match!" etc. I would just like to see the team tournies have conformity in terms of format. That's not to say you should never host a doubles only tourney or something like that, just make sure for that tournament it is only doubles. Also you should not run under the assumption that all competitive teams know each other and can work out match-ups for themselves.
Pst, you didn't understand my wording because you don't know what the word "telling" means in that context, I'm assuming.
17. I personally dislike this idea. It would be somewhat confusing to arrange who is playing what bracket, and it's more telling to me to know a team beat another in a certain format and that there were absolutely no gimmicks involved.
18. You joke, but that is literally how things have been going. We don't need randomized registration when we have such small samples. It is only effective on a very large scale.
