You're right. Most of what you said holds true. The old system must have been very destructive to the economy. Though can I ask a question? Exactly WHERE do all the pokemon go? You trade them in and you NEVER see them again. ANYWHERE. They can't all be in a box. He would have run out of room AGES ago. Are they in a pen somewhere? Does he donate to the safari? I haven't seen any dittos there :-/
I like how it seems that you think Pokemon actually walk around in the grass. Let's get real here. They are deleted. Simple.

I forget where but I believe it would be difficult to add Johto because of the gba emulator used for this game. 2nd generation titles (besides the remakes for HGSS) were on gameboy colors and never on advanced. They would have to recode a lot just to make that happen. So from this I think a custom region would be next before Johto but I could be wrong.
You actually have the DS Emulator as well. HG and SS are gen 4 and are on the DS, and include Johto. Just sayin'.

Smeargle can learn ALL moves there are without ever seeing TMs or HMs or move tutors or gaining any moves of its own from leveling up.
Actually, he cannot learn Struggle (nor Chatter, but that is almost a moot point). Just thought I would say that so people do not get confused. source
Another way to get moves in double battles would be (very risky though):
Send out something that can put to sleep both your foes, then switch to smeargle and the poke with the move you want to pass.
Cross your fingers and try.
Also focus band.
I did this with Murkrow and Smeargle. It isn't so bad if you can do it in a double battle the first time you fight a duo, since their Pokemon won't be as strong.
P.S.- Great guide, I love how much you praise Smeargle. I will be featuring this on my Team Page's Helpful Links section.
EDIT: By the way, catela, you may want to look into putting Odor Sleuth in the Utility Section for Smeargle. This move allows him to hit Ghost Pokemon with False Swipe, Pay Day etc.

Since I am playing regularly, I can't stand to keep this Team "dead". When I took a hiatus, I said that it would be just that- a hiatus. I intend to play for quite some time; I have at least another month's worth of points for Donator Status,(aside from the current month I just bought) for what that is worth.
The Team page will be undergoing an aesthetic change soontm. If you have any suggestions as to what other features you would like to see in the OP page, let me know and I can make it happen! Any new mascot suggestions will be looked at and considered, but I do have a new one in mind.
Should any past members want to come back, or if anyone who enjoys helping players in chat would like to join, send me an IM and I will get back to you as quickly as I can!

I'd argue that, trading is and should be a heavy part of this game, and breeding should benefit that. But thats not really the point, breeding is just extremely expensive. I went broke in, probably not even an hour. I may not be rich but what I had should have lasted longer than it did, it was what most people will have when they start getting into it.

The Hound died, totally awesome! His face was soooo messed up. Arya just took his money and left him there, exactly what she should have done.

Things like our sprites can't be resampled cleanly without doing it at regular intervals, e.g. 200% nearest neighbor. I'm not sure how well our GUI textures could be resampled. We'd probably have to redraw everything to be a higher size (probably 2x current).
What is the monitor resolution / physical screen size you are having issues with?
Oh I'm not talking about the actual game sprites, but the GUI/Interface/HUD, yeah. I'll check my monitor, but this option could help those of us who are blind as bats :P
EDIT: My computer says it is 1920x1080.

To be clear, is the main issue font size on very large, high resolution displays? What about icon sizes for things like your bag / bottom right HUD?
That too I suppose, they do look smaller. I just figured they are all apart of a single thing. This is just how I have seen it done elsewhere, the text and all other aspects of the interface are made larger.
EDIT: So I just figured I would take three screenshots to better illustrate this. Look under the INTERFACE heading and you'll see a slider on a bar. The first screenshot is about what the interface looks like in PokeMMO to me on my new computer :P:

So you are suggesting a magnification function that you can use to alter the size of text in-game?
If so, sure. I haven't had the problem before, but if other people do, why not? the more options the better.
If only I could record the "Interface Scaling" function in Elder Scrolls Online... But, yes, that is roughly the idea :P Maybe it is just that I have a wide screen, making the text seem small.

Not quite what was suggested here.
How it is: Chat, menu, party etc. are a single size and cannot be modified.
How it could be: What I am suggesting is the ability to magnify:
Pokemon party, Function Keys, the time stuff in the top left of the screen, the menu bar, chat box text. This isn't the current "make the chat box bigger to allow more chat to be displayed" option. ESO has this magnification function in it, and it's one of the few things that doesn't make me want to throw my computer out of the window when I play. I just think to myself "Well at least I can see text." I have a tough time seeing such small text on my big, new screen sometimes. I'm sure that other people have a tough time with the current size of the text and other interface features, as well. I really just want to read without my eyeballs hurting.This is a really tough suggestion to communicate effectively without having a video to show you. I'll try to find one and post it.

Forum links in Whisper just please
This may also be a good way to do it! That way it isn't spammed all over the place, but people who want to say, link a pic of their outfit they got last night or something, they can. Although, it could make the forums a much more visible (and possibly more popular) aspect of the game.

I'm sure some restrictions could be implemented. You can only link a link so many times per minute, or whatever.

Foreword: I searched the topic in Search and only found some thread about having to register on the forums to make an account. If it is, in fact, already suggested....then don't mind me. :D
How it is: Cannot link forum threads in chat out of the Team Chat.
How it could be: Linking a forum page in chat outside of Team would be a really nice thing. The uses for this really don't have to be mentioned, but I will for posterity's sake. Players would be able to link Team pages in recruiting posts, event posts, shops or link pages to friends they find interesting.

Logic? How can you try to put logic to this game? It has: Giant six finned whales breeding with leek wielding ducks to lay eggs, children allowed to run around the country alone, glass made out of ash, skyscrapers built with no automobiles, caves with ladders conveniently placed everywhere, this thing...
