Compensation for players that already have 12 tablets
Doctor replied to Wolfgangerl's topic in General Discussion
Yes, the change is welcomed, don't get me wrong; I even mentioned the amount of turn-ins being too high before in the forums. What we are complaining about is how late the change is introduced with no compensation whatsoever for anyone who did the grind without even knowing what the rewards was only for it to be two vanities. It's straight up disrespectful towards the players and their time. And as always, a lot of disrespect that could've been avoided by COMMUNICATING. Devs have the time to pettily respond to people trying to appeal their (deserved) bans, but they don't have the time to keep us all updated on these kind of things? Sigh -

Oh, I meant that the vanity was kept a "secret" for this long because it wasn't even a thought when the tablets were introduced. My gamble for the red nose is bigger than yours 😎 I thought there was both a male and female version of the outfit, the male one being basically a shameless recolor of the Traditional New Years suit or whatever the name is; and the female one being the robe, but idk. Still underwhelming for a FOMO-induced insanity grind for which we didn't get told what the reward was. It's pretty concerning that they're introducing new pointless grinds that they can later use as a wildcard to give content later, because the entire point of grinding for something is knowing what the something is. For example, we knew what the reward for getting all the wisps was in Halloween, so I could decide to not grind them because I wasn't interested in the reward. But secret rewards like this or the Wishing Stone basically FORCE us to grind if we don't want to miss something possibly big, only for it to be two vanities. -

Because it wasn't even thought of when the tablets were introduced is my guess but I don't wanna be the forums clown two nights in a row so I won't bet on it -

You get a tablet + Cherish Ball when you turn in one swarm Pokémon if you're owed tablets retroactively -

No, it's not fair because people farmed those tablets due to sheer FOMO of what the tablets could give. The Cherish Balls are not a compensation, they were the baseline. Reducing them from 40 to 24 this late into the event without compensating those who grinded them thinking they'd miss out on some secret reward otherwise is a massive disrespect. Nothing new here, though. -
Can you please read the entire thread before saying water is wet caio
-
No, brother, they are confirmed to be limited to that anniversary, that’s why they are so expensive

Anyway, all of this is beside the point, and the entire thread could've been avoided if, as always, we received some kind of communication instead of absolute radio silence for days. I understand that dealing with all the bugs is not easy, especially on a tight schedule as they've been having since Johto released pretty much, but I think it's also understandable that the playerbase is also tired of getting shadow nerfs with no mention of them whatsoever anywhere like the payday rates in Johto being halved, random changes like False Swipe going back up to 64 PP, and so on. Considering these changes, especially the payday rate nerf, have not been mentioned anywhere nor addressed anyhow, it's only normal for players to speculate if new bugs are really bugs or intended nerfs/changes that devs just straight up didn't mention in the patch notes. Combine this with B.S. like the hordes ratio nerf being passed as a "bug fix" as if it didn't affect the entire game's economy and pointless grinds with no clear rewards relying on FOMO like the Wishing Stone and the Zodiac Tablets and it's pretty evident why we are all so sensitive about it all. I too understand that acidic posting like mine or in general this thread can also snowball the situation, hence this disclaimer, but please, PLEASE communicate with the playerbase that's donating thousands of dollars to the game. It's the bare minimum, and it would avoid a LOT of dumb outrages and drama. PS: you can still laugh at me for the bro theory I cooked earlier, a clown is a clown no matter the intentions 🤡

And now the "edited" prompt in the message is removed 💀 damage control is amazing
-
*laughs in alpha Kanto starters*
-
And until I posted about it it wasn't even edited into the original post so there's that as well

let me check if my shiny spawning hacks work still and I'll get back at ya brother
-
Not even a mention of it in the new bug fixes. Sorry for being paranoid but given the lack of communication it starts to feel like one of those things that gets intentionally disabled to prevent botting and they don't mention to avoid backlash. Hope I'm terribly wrong, though. And as always feel free to laugh at me if I am.

The significance of rushing to the leaderboard now
Doctor replied to qq2119's topic in General Discussion
Maybe instead of ridiculing people who do not speak the language you can read the message twice. There is a bug that makes you not able to claim 12 Pokémon at the shrine + the 4 starters, instead letting you claim only 11, which massively affects people going for longer runs. -
Bold of you to assume they have figured out what to do with the Wishing Stone/tablets, and since the FOMO strategy works because people told them how amazing the Christmas non existing event was, they just doubled down on the grindfest (quite literally with 2x the amount of turn-ins needed)
-
I feel like the flutes being disabled has more to do with their unwillingness to code them than any other balance issues, to be honest
-
wdym, the mechanic is very fair, engaging and fun, I don't see the problem
-
What does this have to do with this thread lol
-
This would be amazing, please devs 🙏
-
He means that people who already have it shouldn't be eligible to "get it" again and instead the next person in the ladder should be able to get it, which honestly is kind of understandable. But yeah, at the same time, no one's entitled to it, so I get both viewpoints.

That's because you haven't tried the glue, bro. The more gooey the better.

Yet the punishment is still in the game, I seriously can't understand why they keep punishing players like this 💀 Guess it's too big of an offense to have bad internet connection/play on mobile for it to go unpunished Also now every time you get out of a building it fills your screen with this: Just in case you forget I guess lol
