Anyone sad about the reduction in the value of their pokemon, please remember that pokemon is just the means to the end, please don't put the cart before the horse.
I agree that perfection should hold a certain degree of value in MMOs, but the entry grind to get certain desired pokemon was ridiculous. People didn't use certain pokemon solely because it was outside their reach in terms of pokeyen and time. I don't think it's healthy for certain group of viable pokemon to stay excluded from competitive scene for such reasons.
Now that they have improved the mechanics(which might need further improvement)to get the pokemon, we need more end game content- group boss encounters, more Co-op content and for the love of god, dungeons.

Great update imo, genderless needed a buff. It was ridiculous to rely on RNG for getting a decent genderless.
As for the OP, it's an MMO and prices of things will move around from time to time. You shouldn't really think too much about your loses and focus on how you will benefit from it in the future.

After you have FireRed rom, you can travel to Kanto using castelia city port.
Better than restarting the game.

Shiny hunting(no skill mmo)is apparently the way people get excited these days. When the most boring part of the game is getting the most attention, it drives away anyone who wants to stay.
The game is filled with non interactive grind, hence people afk and talk with friends/play a better(more interactive) game.
The storyline is good and they have increased the sense of challenge, but the end game content is still borderline non-existent.

If you really want to enjoy the game, give yourselves challenges. Nuzelocke or monotype is a pretty good way to go about it. It will make some gyms borderline impossible to beat but that's what makes things interesting. Nothing beats the satisfaction that comes after beating the game, that was designed to be more challenging than the regular, with a monotype team.

If baton pass isn't banned at e4 I'd recommend a baton pass team. It makes things ridiculously simple.

The higher end dittos(the ones with 4x,5x ivs)will have a drop in their past value as you can breed stuff now with 1-2x iv dittos.
