As some of you may know the music in the game right now is not very beautiful. It misses a lot of sound channels. I guess the reason why it sounds so bad is just because of copyright reasons (I might be wrong) but I know how to change the way the music plays so it sounds better, without having fears of Nintendo shutting down the project because of copyright issues.
Let me demonstrate. If anyone of you have tried VisualBoyAdvance (Game Boy Advance emulator), you may know what I'm talking about.
In this screenshot, you can see that the VisualBoyAdvance emulator is playing a copy of Pokemon Fire Red Version. The emulator let's you change many settings and options, including sound channels.
So if you take a closer look into the screenshot, you can see that all of the sound channels are currently enabled.
Now, the thing is that it's possible to disable one or all of these sound channels. Direct Sound A and Direct Sound B is the most important ones, because they don't work or sound the same like the other 4 sound channels. If possible, the developers can just disable one of the Direct Sound channels (Maybe Direct Sound A) in the emulation, which makes the music still sound good and sound like the original game, but it will sound a little bit different.
Why is is worth it? Well, the risk of Nintendo shutting down this project/game will decrease, while keeping the music sound good and as similar to the original game. The music and sfx will count as a remix and that is not illegal
(It shouldn't be illegal anyway).
Thoughts?
