  1. The exp gain is arguably far too high already. In Kanto, you're gaining 280% (100% + 60% per Pokemon) exp if you're using both daycares and it's even higher if you're using non-OT Pokemon and a Lucky Egg in battle. Increasing it to 200% per Pokemon in the daycare would bring that to an absurd 700% not including extra gains. If anything, it should be reduced from what it is rather than increased.

can you at least make it so we can remove pokemon from the daycare without receiving them? I had like all the daycares filled for a meowth leveling service as pocket money and I'm not paying 90k each for a shitmon meowth.

  2. I haven't read anything in this thread, but assuming the fact that you could get stuck is one of the cons. If you need an HM pokemon to get to the base, if you place it in the pc and then Release it, you're done. And I do know you could still use fly, but it is possible to get stuck.

What have you implemented to prevent players from trading away their hm pokemon? Are you going to restrict trading to only inside pokemon centers?

Also to answer the question of people being able to heal for free, why not add a 10k fee to using the pc.

  3. someone would probably have bought it even tho it was easy to find in your listings. stuff like that goes quick..

the system is fine aslong as you dont fuck up yourself

No need for handrails on bridges, if a person falls off it is their own fault. /s

Also having a organizable listing page is not only good if you want to quickly cancel, it is good so people can actually see what they are selling. I have around 150-200 listings most of the time, if i want to inventory my shop then I need to pay attention to every listing, instead of being able to type "starmie" or have it go in alphabetical order to see how many magikarps I have left.

  4. Hello! I just accidentally put my competitive starmie that was worth 2m~ on the gtl instead of a ditto for 50k. So I am like shit I need to cancel it, execpt for some reason you can't buy your own listings, and the "Your Listing" page is a useless piece of shit. There is no organization to this page as far as I can see. While it may not seem important to have the "Your Listings" page be organized when you have around ten listings, it is definitely important when you have above one hundred different listings.

There was no way for me to cancel my listing as I could not find it in a game of hide and seek in the "My Listings" page, and that is seriously infuriating. What decision choice was made so you could not search  the "My Listings" page, nor organize it. At least have it be in alphabetical order, it is not even in order of when the listings were made.

I have the moemon mod which makes the starmie icon look similar to ditto icon.

  5. bl0nde back at it again, trying to get me to use a scientific approach. If only I had the energy these days, but I guess I can summarize and hope someone else can pick up and expand on what I'm trying to say.

OU is unbalanced in my opinion and has undergone countless test bans, suspect tests, and actual bans in order to try and create balance. While I can't argue that our current rendition is one of the better versions we've had, there are still aspects of the game that are missing. We had to ban Salamence, Tyranitar, and Dragonite because we lack suitable checks to their many sets. After this, it was only understandable that we banned Snorlax and Blissey because without our primary sweepers and wallbreakers, these two wally behemoths could reign supreme. Unfortunately both of these pokemon were our primary special walls and because there was nearly nothing left to topple a cancerous bulky stall Gengar, we had to ban it too. Then, after realizing that the remaining special walls were absolutely pooped on by Dugtrio and there was little left to take advantage of its limited moveset, we had to inevitably ban it as well because of Arena Trap and a broken playstyle that offered easy wins. So how do we fix this? Is this even a problem? To me, being a "genwunner" and someone who played none of the handhelds past Gen 3 I was sadly disappointed like many others. Ok please stay with me, because I know this is irrelevant, but I'll eventually make my point. Aside from this game, every metagame that was designed around Generation 3 included and was based around Salamence, Tyranitar, Snorlax, Blissey, Skarmory, Suicune, Zapdos, Celebi, Swampert, Metagross, and arguably Dugtrio. Generation 3 is literally one of the most centralized tiers I have ever played, but interestingly enough it was quite balanced and there was a variety of different playstyles that you could use despite the limited number of pokemon that were being seen. This was mostly because these "dominant" overused pokes were just so damn versatile and could be used in any number of strategies, whether that be stall, hyper-offense, or balanced offense. So when PokeMMO decided that they weren't going to introduce legendaries because of 'reasons', the balance that other Generation 3 metagames offered, was simply not there. Without Suicune, there was little that could offensively and defensively stop the dragons. Without Celebi, there was little that could defensively support Swampert to also provide support against Tyranitar, Dragonite, and Salamence. Without Zapdos (and Gengar because of the ban), Choice Band users could freely spam EQ and there was even fewer options for special defense. Because of this, the strategy was simple. If Salamence, Tyranitar, or Dragonite couldn't outright sweep, break down the walls so that Starmie could. There was no defensive balance whatsoever and we ended up with the ban cascade which brought us to where we are now.

Looking back, I think we could have had a more balanced game that would have truly been an interesting metagame should we have implemented legendaries, suspected them with a fine tooth comb, and tested an OU metagame that was unique because of Gen 4+ mechanics. Instead we have ended up with a poor-man's OU tier, a tier council that can't make a decision because each discussion is so farfetched, and a development team that handed the competitive scene over to the community.

tl;dr By having accessible legendaries for competitive play, such as the three I previously mentioned and the other highly viable OU legendaries that are yet to be seen, I believe we could have a much more enjoyable and creative competitive scene that would require less work by the tier council and the staff that monitor it.

I appreciate this post a lot. I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks that all the bans that the tier council do are asinine. Not like it would even be that hard to allow people to catch legendaries...

  6. who the fuck keeps going around telling people this shit?

personally I have have seen several noobs in channel chat (mainly channel 3) state this fact, and when I tell people they are lying the amount of salt produced is astronomical. People want to believe johto is coming out so they trick themselves into believing it.

  7. To be honest I don't think that berries are game breaking, however the fact that unless you plan to waste your time farming berries you have to now pay at least 5k per berry ( I can't see prices going lower than 10k). Five times the price of 1k before, and implementing more grind in place of the PvE content we were promised is not a direction I would like to go in. Don't forget the gtl tax as well, so there is still money removed from the wallets of players.

I made a thread complaining about getting no PvE content and it was locked forcing me to complain here with all the peeps who think the worst part of the update was the berry grind. Should not be locking threads just because I mentioned berries, besides I noticed half a dozen threads opened after mine that are complaining about berries which are not locked

  8. As a person who has been in a lot of new teams, I have never seen a new player log in after two weeks. This is due to only content being comp battling which requires weeks of grinding to get into, and new players just quit instead of wasting their time. Devs seem to not care due to veteran players being the ones in every tournament though.

  9. Mfw this thread still hasn't gone anywhere. I'm all for a battle box in our secret bases, although if you wanted more than 1 battle and to switch your team up, running to the pc and back to change yoir battle box would be a drag.

It still puzzles me that staff call this an "exploit".

just looking for excuses, the "exploit" is a joke at best.

  10. Hello mateys, for weeks PvE content was teased. I am really disappointed with this update, as there was no PvE content. Unless one counts adding an extremely long grinding process to get berries PvE content.

Grinding is not fun. PokeMMO devs think playing this game should be a job, where the only content after beating the story is competitive battling. Competitive battling is not boring in itself, however the immense grind required to enter the scene discourages many new players and veterans from entering in the first place. It is not fun logging in every 6 hours to grind islands, for a few weeks to be able to afford to breed comp mon.

I have seen many players play pokeMMO full of enthusiasm, until they beat the elite four. They get at a point where the game becomes a job, and they quit instead of wasting their time.

Especially with the implementation of berry grinding, the devs seem set on making the competitive scene more tiresome. If the sole plan for end game content if Competitive battling why are they making it such a pain to enter it? PvE content would allow some type of enjoyment for casuals, not every one gets a kick out of comp battling. PvE content would take away from the joy sucking aspect of grinding the dev team seem determined to implement.

I have played since 2012, I have quit numerous times due to the tiresomeness of the end game, only to come back after every update hoping for a miracle. If I want to comp battle I will just go to pokemon showdown and cut a few months of grinding out of my life. I can't see me choosing to play this game again until it becomes less of a job.

  12. So was berry farming the PVE content darkshade was teasing for weeks on end????

rofl u guys never cease to amaze me

I'm quite dissapointed. As someone who would just play pokemon showdown if he wanted to competitively battle the promise of PVE content was the only thing keeping me around.

  13. I think this a pretty good idea. I think expanding secret bases is a good move for pokemmo, as the game need more money sinks beyond breeding. I also enjoy being able to craft bases for my team, and a second floor would come useful in many ways. I think a second floor would be useful for teams who will want to run tournaments, as well as a second floor just as a place to chill for a team.

or the person can ask for people to give them a pokemon that can learn the HM they need. Not like this is not a mutliplayer game. The PC in a secret base is a good idea, making secret bases viable as a base for a team.
