  1. Not sure if i made myself clear with that. If you know for sure there is going to be a specific item for sale at a certain point why would you ever buy that for the regular price anymore? that would basically mean decreasing prices for certain items, and devs already stated they're against that kind of thing anyway. I mean, of course i'm ok with stocking up during these occasions, what i meant is let's not have, for example, specific days when we know repels are going to be on sale. Let's keep it random, this is what i meant. Kinda neutral on holiday sales, stocking up in mmo is different than stocking up in real life, but i doubt many people would drop 1mil in a day just to have a 1 year supply of repels. As long as that period isn't extended for more than 1 day it should be fine.
  2. Usage is not relevant anymore with chansey at this point. We also know for sure (shut up forfie or else) it can be exploited by ursa, rhydon, machamp, linoone, haunter, heracross, sometimes metagross and dugtrio, block venusaur, anything with trick, charizard etc. It can only 2 do things to your switch ins: status or toss. Ok, it's versatile to a certain extent, but still highly exploitable. It's not defensively uber, PERIOD and there are some good alternatives (although not as unbreakable) with a few edges over it. So the only argument we have left is it makes sp walls unviable, aka unhealthiness. We can go on discussing about it as much as we want, but that won't change anyone's opinion and this discussion has been going for a ridicolous amount of time. The community is clearly split about it so the best thing we can do in this case would clearly be a test ban. Anyway bringing unhealtiness as a valid ban reason wasn't the smartest thing imo
  3. That means using blue shards has a 1/8000 chance to turn your poke into a shiny, but since noone uses blue shards xd
  4. I like this suggestion (and the one who made it) a lot. As long as those items are random and prevents people from strategically stocking up then why not? I like shopping anyway
  5. Reminder that hyper voice is still a gimmick and makes chansey an even bigger setup bait than it would already be with a regular set. The gimmick sets are only there to exploit chansey, not because there are no other ways to deal with it and to be frank they're not even worth being used atm. And it's no like chansey is the only poke we make specific sets for, it's just that chansey is really easy to exploit. I know why full ph teams are popular, and the reason is not just chansey; sp sweepers are stopped cold by porygon 2, calm gardevoir, umbreon, and sometimes even by cmind slowbro and have very little to surprise your opponent unlike their ph counterparts (fireblast aero mixed metagross to name one). So why exactly do you want chansey banned? because it's supposed to be the only reason why sp sweepers are unviable and...? If we have people who actually think banning chansey would make sp sweepers worth using then let's test ban it so we can finally tell. But yeh, as long as the ou council is basically robo and zebra bashing each other
  6. Been an intense journey, but today will be my last day on the game. I'm uninstalling it for good, no turning back. I could blame the grind, but instead i'll just name a few people: Parke, OrangeManiac, Mnesmosyne, GloriuWalrus and Mutrumbao. Rip Terraria, gotta dedicate myself 24/7 to pokemmo for 2 days so i can start triple running.

    1. Liberalisme

      Liberalisme

No pls mut don't do this to me ;_;.

  7. Too good to be true; in fact, we sadly don't have dusknoir. Not a big deal, dusclops is pretty good, but you still need a special wall there. Also refrain from ever using slaking, it's bad
  8. Ok, i'll answer properly: About 3 weeks x each poke when i'm not watching anime, but it's worth it because using roids on the same pokes you're keeping for official tournaments will eventually get you banned. When you buy a trained comp make sure to check how it's been trained.
  9. Let's stick to chansey thanks I'm against a ban. 33% usage is indeed a lot, but in itself it's nowhere near a solid reason to ban it. Chansey is punished hard and trapped by several pokemon, with some of them mainly relying on chansey (or similiar poke) to properly work (rhydon, haunter, linoone, ursaring). We also have sets made specifically to trap chansey on pokes that would normally have no way to touch it, quite a few. This makes it, in my opinion a pretty risky pokemon to use. Chansey doesn't define the meta like snorlax or blissey (to a lesser extent) did, has some big drawbacks and a totally acceptable usage. It also doesn't affect how viable sp sweepers are that much, there is more to that and it can't really punish them like, let's say, snorlax or even umbreon. It promotes trapping, but one can simply ditch it for some other pokemon without being essentially crippling it's team like it would have happened with snorlax; it's not THAT good. If "trapping meta is crap" is the only argument we have, then maybe we should consider banning something different. Adressing the meta; We've been playing with no significant changes for quite a while, it's only normal that the meta became a bit stagnant. Nontheless, i see people doing fine with creative or offensive teams at times and i consider that a good result. The only way i see to spice things up would be to unban something, but is there anything in ubers that coud benefit our current ou? i don't think so, but maybe we could discuss that in another thread. All i did up here was pretty much bringing back the same old arguments many brought before me so is there really anything else to say before we come to a conclusion? or are we going to blame chansey for everything we consider bad in this tier for even longer?
  10. Npc run = 90k in 30 minutes Eving att = about 1 hour and 15 minutes Eving hp = about 40 minutes Maxing 1 stat through vitamins = around 81k (or was it 91?) If you have to max 1 stat using money is less time consuming. If you have to max more than 1 poke on the same stat, ev training is better. If you have 2 pc get good at multitasking, do double npc runs and forget about ev training
  11. we still didn't make it to page 30
  12. wtf bishav, i thought he made it a few mins ago before looking at the date. welcome, cya in game LOL
  13. bruh but what would banning chansey resolve?
  14. lol someone rank these Gardevoir Cloyster Dusclops Blaziken
  15. Not sure if mailing 1k is really worth it though
  16. Not to mention they won't count to fill your dex. I have an houndour in my team but i can't check the moves on the dex :(

Didn't notice your metagross didn't have thunderpunch, ffs. Ye, every metagross has that, replace explosion with that. Never seen anyone running defense curl on chansey, i just came up with that. You could run softboiled, heal bell, defense curl and seismic toss, but i dunno if it's worth doing that with a calm nature Ye, you could use an extra ph wall over arcanine, but heracross is fine as it is. Maybe replace brick break with low kick, but it's not mandatory

Starmie: Needs rapid spin and leftovers Arcanine: Relaxed with intimidate is the most popular choice. Badly needs morning sun though (and leftovers) Metagross: Needs leftovers and to hit 101 speed so it can outspeed the whole meta after agility Chansey: Needs aromatherapy/Heal bell. Bold is superior Skarmory: It's ok Heracross: Leftovers plox
  19. No thanks, not another one of those events. Npc runs are more profitable anyway. Terrified about the trade system too, who knows what other money sinks they came up with.
  20. Frankly i don't think it would make that much more of a difference. Max spdef umbreon takes sp hits just as well as bold chansey and porygon can eat almost any sp hit without giving any fuck whatsoever. Ph sweepers would still be vastly superior due to the lack of nasty plot and choice specs
  21. As i said they lack a good recovery move, but they're also both trapped by magneton and that makes defensive cores based on these two pretty unreliable. Skarmory would be an a- if it didn't have all those good utility moves, so i'd say i can give it an A rank. Forretress can't take any fire move whatsoever and even pokes such as aerodactyl and tauros can take advantage of that, not to mention firepunch users. Awesome against normal spam, a solid switch in against gyarados or metagross, but it's not as reliable as skarm. However is the most used rapid spin user in the tier, it has a decent enough attack to hit back at some threats and a wide set of moves to help it at that . More support oriented than skarmory, not a defensive a rank, but an A rank overall.
