Nearby players could tune in, to see the fresh shiny! Hype up the encounter and celebrate the shiny found! (With some fireworks of course! ) Shows up above the "in battle" pokeball icon. (Could be put to replace the ball icon or next to it.) An option to disable the function, if you prefer to shunt in peace or secret.

    Teleport Pokemon
Today were looking into Teleport Pokemon, these particular Pokémon can be useful for quick runs back to the pc, as it teleports you back to the last pc you have visited and right in front of the Nurse as opposed to flying to the front door of the PC, now there are a whole heap of Pokémon that can learn Teleport from Levelling up, or by TM. So of these Pokemon here are Five options that I believe are unique and have other properties that may help you consider them for your team. It is worth mentioning that Teleport is a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K

    Youtube Video:

    A Series Of 5 - Teleport Pokemon
Magmar - Lets be honest and say that Magmar was probably not on the top of your list when you thought of Teleport Pokemon but this Humanoid Spitfire Pokemon can be very useful to you for a couple of Reasons.
Magmar is a decent Mixed Attacker having 95 Atk and 100 SpAtk, also holding an almost 500 Base Stat Total
Has the ability Flame Body which increases the hatch time for eggs so could be super useful hatching eggs whilst EV training or single/horde encountering
Can always use a Magmarizer to evolve Magmar to Magmortar for a base stat total boost from 495 to 540 in particular 100 SpAtk to 125 SpAtk.

Magmar can also be quite strong if paired with the Moveset
Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Headbutt and of course Teleport.
Headbutt is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K, the point of having Headbutt on your Magmar is that you can have that versatility in going for headbutt encounters in Johto, also a 30% chance to make the foe flinch
Lava Plume is a Special Fire Type Move which Magmar learns at level 34 that can attack all adjacent foes which is great for Horde Encounters. 30% chance to Burn the foe
Flamethrower is a Special Fire Type Move which Magmar learns at level 44 that can attack a single foe and has a 10% chance to burn the foe.
    Other moves that should be mentioned Magmar can learn are;
Poison Gas at Lvl 18 which has high PP usage and has a 100% chance to Poison the Foe which also targets all adjacent foes.
Sunny Day at Lvl 52 which is useful in strengthening Fire Moves weakening Water Moves and prevents freezing.
Rock Smash is a HM that can be taught which that broadens your encounters which can lead to getting fossils
Thief is a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K. The user steals any held item the opposing pokemon holds and is always a good option to have on a pokemon due to all the different items held by pokemon.

Slowbro - Once again probably wasn’t thinking of Slowbro, but this Dual Egg Group Hermit Crab Water Psychic Pokemon is a great Defensive option to have as your Teleport Pokemon.
Although Slow hence the name, Slowbro makes up for it with a decent HP base stat with 95 and a great 110 Def and 100 SpAtk base stats
Has deep Coverage in HMs learning 7 of the 11 missing out on only Cut, Defog, Rock Climb and Fly.
Can be used as a PayDay/Yawn Catcher which we have come to find useful.
It can Learn TM - Dig, Having access to TM - Dig is a great advantage for traversing as Teleport doesn't work in caves making Slowbro great at getting back to a PC very quickly. Also TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K,

A possible Moveset that can be used is
Pay Day, Yawn, Headbutt and of course Teleport
Pay Day is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K. The point of having Pay Day on your Slowbro is that you can earn additional Pokeyen per battle.
Yawn is a Normal Status Move which Slowbro starts with since Slowpoke its pre-evolution either starts with it or learns it at Lvl 9. Useful for having a 100% chance of putting your foe asleep on the next turn.
Headbutt is a Normal Physical Move which Slowbro can learn at lvl 21 but also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K, the point of having Headbutt on your Slowbro is that you can have that versatility in going for headbutt encounters in Johto, also a 30% chance to make the foe flinch
    Other moves that should be mentioned Slowbro can learn are;
Dig, Having access to TM - Dig is a great advantage for traversing as Teleport doesn't work in caves making Slowbro great at getting back to a PC very quickly. Also TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K,
Surf is Special Water Move which attacks all adjacent pokemon which is handy for hordes or ev training as well as traversing the regions, it is a HM making it free and readily available or Slowbro learns the move at Lvl 30.
Psychic is a Special Psychic Type move learned at Lvl 36 is a strong telekinetic move that has a 10% chance to lower the SpDef of the target.
Slack Off is a Status Normal Type move learned at Lvl 33 which restores half of the users maximum HP which is useful when you're not ready to come back to PC to heal up,

Magneton - Now I'm positive you didnt think of Magneton when you were clicking on this video, but a few things make this Genderless Magnet Electric Steel type pokemon stands out as a choice for your Teleport Pokemon.
Has a nice 120 SpAtk base stat which we can take advantage off with special moves,
If we level up by a magnetic field we can have access to Magnezone which bumps up our Base Stat Total from a 465 to a decent 535,
Is great to have as an AOE EV Trainer, or can be a good screen setter as it can have Sturdy and therefore get Reflect and Light Screen off.

A possible Moveset that can be used is
Discharge, Headbutt, Thunder Wave and of course Teleport
Discharge is a Special Electric Type Move which Magneton learns at level 40 that can attack all adjacent pokemon and has a 30% chance to paralyze the foe.
Headbutt is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K, the point of having Headbutt on your Magneton is that you can have that versatility in going for headbutt encounters in Johto, also a 30% chance to make the foe flinch
Thunder Wave is a Status Electric Move which Magneton can either start with or learn at Lvl 10 which has a 100% chance to Paralyze the foe if it hits, which can be useful for catching.
    Other moves that should be mentioned Magneton can learn are;
Light Screen is a Psychic Status Move which Magneton learns at Lvl 20 which suppresses Special Based Moves for 5 turns as mentioned can be a good screen setter having access to sturdy can set Light Screen one turn and then Reflect the next.
Reflect is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $20K, it is Psychic Status Move which Magneton can learn which suppresses Physical Based Moves for 5 turns as mentioned can be a good screen setter having access to sturdy can set Reflect one turn and then Light Screen the next.

Wigglytuff - Next on our list of potential Teleport Pokemon that you probably didnt think off but now might use due to their versatility is Wigglytuff. Now this Normal Balloon Fairy Egg Group Pokemon is a must if gathering items is your forte.
Boasts the highest HP Base stat on today's video with a whooping 140 HP Base, which is great for taking large damage. With a 70/85 Mixed Atk/Sp Atk. split for gradual damage.
Making the moveset for this build has been quite difficult which is positive due to the diversity and therefore up to you to play around with but I think I have come up with a useful one.
Its Hidden Ability Frisk allows you to search the opposing Pokemon for any held items, which is great for any type of item farming.

A possible moveset that can be used is,
Thief, Covet, Hyper Voice and of course Teleport
Thief is a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K. The user steals any held item the opposing Pokémon holds and is always a good option to have on a Pokémon due to all the different items held by Pokémon. Paired with Frisk allows a more efficient method of item farming.
Covet is a Physical Normal move which Wigglytuff starts with from evolution, so it must be learnt from Jigglypuff at lvl 9, the Pokémon endearingly approaches the target, then steals the target’s held item which similar to Thief is always a good option to have on a Pokémon due to all the different items held by Pokémon. Therefore allows for more stolen items between PC visits. If not learnt before evolving it can be learnt from the tutor in PCs for a cost of 2 x Heart Scales
Hyper Voice, is a Special Normal move which Wigglytuff starts with from evolution, so it must be learnt from Jigglypuff at lvl 36, This AOE move can be put to good use when ev training on top of item farming, or clearing hordes once the item has been stolen for additional exp.
Other moves mentioning that Wigglytuff can learn are,
Sing, is a Normal Status move that although has a low accuracy will put the opposing Pokémon to sleep which can be useful if trying to catch Pokémon. Wigglytuff starts with this move from evolution, so it must be with Jigglypuff a move that it also starts with,
Dig, Having access to TM - Dig is a great advantage for traversing as Teleport doesn't work in caves making Wigglytuff great at getting back to a PC very quickly. Also TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K,
Substitute Is a Normal Status move where the user makes a decoy of itself from some of its HP, Substitute is TM that Wigglytuff can learn the TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $30K,
Wish Is a Normal Status move where the user one turn after using this move half of the Pokémon's maximum HP is recovered, This can be useful in Wigglytuff's case for its high HP Bulk and paired with Substitute it can last a long time in battle, This is an egg move so it will have to bred onto.

Starmie - The 5 and final Pokemon in our Group of Teleport Pokemon is Starmie, the Mysterious Genderless Water Psychic Type Pokemon, You may find this pokemon useful as a Shiny Hunter or searching for a particular Pokemon due to its ability Illuminate which increases the chance of having a wild encounter.
Like I said, it has the ability, illuminate, which increases the likelihood of a wild encounter, useful for shiny hunting or being efficient when using lures or just want to catch a whole heap of pokemon. To then add Teleport to allow quick transition back to PC would be beneficial.
Has a 520 base stat total which puts it 1st on our list, 3rd if you decide to evolve Magmar to Magmortar or Magneton to Magnezone but has a decent 100 Sp Atk and 115 Spe
Is in the Over Used Category so could double as a competitive pokemon for you, obviously sacrificing a move slot for Teleport.

A possible moveset that can be used is,
Recover, Headbutt, Surf and of course Teleport
Recover is a Normal Status move which Starmie starts with from evolution, so it must be learnt from Staryu at lvl 40, Restores the user by half its maximum HP allowing it longevity between battles.  If not learnt before evolving it can be learnt from the tutor in PCs for a cost of 4 x Heart Scales
Headbutt is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $10K, the point of having Headbutt on your Starmie is that you can have that versatility in going for headbutt encounters in Johto, which pairs with Illuminate to further increase the likelihood of an encounter, also a 30% chance to make the foe flinch
Surf is a Special Water move which Starmie starts with from evolution, so it must be learnt from Staryu at lvl 44, It attacks all adjacent pokemon which is handy for hordes or ev training as well as traversing the regions, it is a HM making it free and readily available
Other moves mentioning that Starmie can learn are,
Psychic is a Special Psychic move which Starmie starts with from evolution, so it must be learnt from Staryu at lvl 36, It is a strong Telekinetic Force which has a 10% chance to lower the targets Sp Def by 1 stage. Psychic is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $30K,
Ice Beam is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $30K, to add that coverage against pokemon you may be weak to and allow your Starmie to be more competitive.
Psyshock is also a TM that can be bought at any of the 5 regional Department Stores for $25K, to add that coverage against pokemon you may be weak to and allow your Starmie to be more competitive.

So there you have 5 Pokemon, 5 options for a Teleport Pokemon that could fit into your play style or what you would like to accomplish here on the PokeMMO Server, might make your life easier. Im sure some of these you may even be using now or some you had no idea of and didn't think some of these options were as versatile as shown, do you agree with the 5 or has some surprised you, If there are others that you know or think of that I may have missed, definitely let me know about it.

Watcha got a reaction from c4v in Simple EV Training & Leveling Guide Using Horde
Two locations that should definitely be added are Mt Silver Donphan/Dodrio Hordes as well as Golduck/Seaking Hordes when surfing inside Mt Silver Cave.

Donphan/Dodrio Horde needs a mold breaker mon, as donphan has sturdy. The best choice for that would be modest, 31spatk, specs surf Rampardos. It only needs 600k EXP for Lvl 100, so its pretty easy and quick to train. It very rarely happens that a Donphan survives, maybe like once per hour. Once Basculin gets mold breaker, it will definitely be the optimal choice for this spot, but the difference between wiping every horde out or just 799/800 is almost non existent.
To unlock the full potential of horde I definitely suggest using the EXP reamplifier if you can afford it, as it shares 75% of the EXP among party member, compared to only 50% from EXP shares.

Arguably the best EXP spot if you train a mon that cannot wipe hordes out on its own. With EXP reamplifier + dono, donphan hordes drop slightly above 8k and dodrio hordes drop slightly above 7k.

Golduck/Seaking Horde is more niche as your mon needs to be able to wipe those hordes out, with golduck/seaking being lvl 60+. Most of the time, the mon you are wanting to train needs to be lvl 80+ with an powerful aoe move like hyper voice, earthquake or discharge. Whenever you train a mon that meets those criteria, you should definitely start training them with the donphan/dodrio horde, then swap to golduck/seaking horde once its able to defeat those, as they drop like 10-11k EXP with dono+exp reamplifier.

Definitely the best spot for EXP for any mon that can wipe this horde out. Even if you need to be around lvl 80 to do this, dont forget that level 80 is only the half way point on your way to level 100, as 50% of total EXP are needed for the last 20 levels for most mons.

Those are the spots that I used for EXP when I still ran my leveling service, with the donphan/dodrio spot yielding me around 1-1,2M EXP per hour.

It goes without saying this is a super endgame approach to leveling, but its just the best way. I dont have the numbers without dono+reamplifier, but I tested out the other spots aswell.
You just always default to the Donphan/Dodrio Horde, which, compared to knocking out Rapidash or Tentacruel hordes with the to be trained mon itself, drop around the same amount of EXP, but without the prerequisite of the mon that needs to be trained to know a certain move or be a certain level. And if it does, chances are you can just switch over to inside mt silver cave later down the leveling grind anyway for a much higher EXP gain. You'd need repels to reach the water inside mt silver cave without encounters efficiently, but there arent much steps needed to go there, so the repels are definitely worth their money here.

Its a generalist approach with essentially no downsides and a lot of upsides. The only downside would be to get yourself a Rampardos and getting the EXP reamplifier to unlock the Donphan/Dodrio hordes full potential. If you ever plan to do a decent amount of leveling, you should consider investing into a modest, 31spatk Rampardos and choice specs for it, which you should have anyway.

Watcha reacted to Elizn in Lunar New Year 2024: General Event Information Thread.
Happy Lunar New Year 2024. This Year Is the Year of the Dragon!

Here like last year I will compile as much information about the event as I can. Just like last year! Any and all information is appreciated greatly.

I will update this post regulary with event basics and locations should we need to find anything.

As of writing this right now, the servers are down to introduce the event. I will also link the changelog and patch notes when these are available.

    Event Basics

This event sees the return of Shaymin! To keep this mythical Pokemon, you will need to participate in Raid Battles. 12 powerful Pokemon need to be taken out in Co-Op Raids to encounter Shaymin.

As of the 21/02/2024 hotfix, a specie and item clause is enforced in raids. You cannot have duplicate items or duplicate species. This means one player cannot use the same Pokemon, such as 2 Typhlosions; or use 2 different Pokemon with the same item, like Choice Band, for example. Thanks to @MissSamus for pointing this out.

These raids are not regional exclusive and can be found and battled in across all 5 regions!

The 12 Raid Bosses need confirming. But could be the same as the Zodiac Alphas from 2023.
    Confirmed Raid Bosses:
Lopunny (Thanks @ty76hj) Zebstrika Purugly Grumpig Stoutland Ampharos Steelix Slaking Tauros Braviary Excadrill Gyarados
Ones marked in Red are currently not in the game and cannot be battled yet.

Beating the boss rewards you with the respective Alpha at Lv.85

Catch swarm Pokemon and turn them in at the lady in these event areas for Zodiac Tablets. It is currently unknown if these tablets can be used to obtain the alphas without needing to raid. It is also unconfirmed what she can give to players if you turn over so many, but she can be found:
Kanto: Celadon CIty Johto: Ecruteak City Hoenn: Slateport City Sinnoh: Hearthome City Unova: Nacrene CIty
For every 5 Mysterious Cherish Balls you receive you will get a Zodiac Tablet. These have a unknown purpose right now. Thanks @VadimEmpoleon

Watcha got a reaction from Doingfine in Best exp farmer for Mt. Silver?
With your goal being exp farming, the best way is clearing the Donphan/Dodrio Hordes right next to the PC. During the night, only Donphan spawns so that is the best time to grind EXP if you're into minmaxing. Though to kill the Donphan, you'll need a Mold Breaker mon since they have Sturdy. The go to mon for that is Rampardos using Surf. Make sure it has modest nature/any +spatk nature for that matter, 31 IV's in spatk and holding a choice specs. This knocks out the dodrio hordes and also most Donphan hordes. Sadly there is a chance that like ~1/800 Donphan survive the hit and there is no way to bypass that, in fact this is the reason why Rampardos is the best for this job as other Mold Breaker Mons leave them a much higher chance of survival. This is the fastest way to earn EXP using hordes in the game.

Edit: If the pokemon you want to train is able to wipe out the hordes by itself, the best location would be the water hordes right inside Mt Silver.

Watcha reacted to VelvetLlama in Can we bring back LC (LittleCup) Tier Officially?
Hello! I am VelvetLlama. This is going to be my suggestion on bringing back the LC (Little Cup) tier Officially. I saw it was an Official Tier back Pre-2020. (Announcement was made stating they are ending the tier officially on Dec. 28th 2020) but I think enough time has passed and still see an active community in the Tier that it should be taken into consideration to bring it back.
I have some reasons why I think we should bring it back officially. First one is because it is one of the unofficial formats that I have been seeing a lot about it again. We have the LCPL (Little Cup Premier League) tournaments that are held yearly with HUGE prize-pools, the PokeMMO World Cups, and also the LC club weekly tournaments. Along with the Recent Patrouski Video on covering the Multiverse Tournament that is coming up has shed a lot of light onto the semi forgotten tier.

There has been some discussion about dilemmas and solutions of the tier in previous topics that are on the forums. Like example, “The LC tier had a lot of bans and even ability bans (Download). Devs do not like tiers with a lot of bans.” The most likely problem is that tiers with high ban-lists are difficult to control. So a solution is simple: Leave the LC still under the control of the LC Club. What club leaders or moderators of the club can do is notify the devs in case of Bans on the monthly movement thread when the next one opens like I assume the tier council already does for the other tiers. The LC tier did not have a large player base because devs did not give us LC matchmaking, so that's an easy fix as well. Will they most likely have a smaller player-base on start? Yes, I believe that it's normal with any introduction of something new. But the player-base will increase with time, especially when most lucrative tours are on LC, so a lot of players will want to play and go for these prizes. Like the Multiverse Tournament stated above. I don’t think it would impact the other tiers at all. As they all already have a decent player base. Some might say that The LC tier didn't have a very versatile meta-game and was always defined by very high usage mons that usually ended up banned. But isnt that how OU is currently is to a point? Take example Gallade and the sharpness ability. Was brought in, Banned instantly due to how overpowered it was and its usage, and now it has been nerfed hard. Each Tier has its ups and downs but overall I think bringing back this Tier officially would be a good thing for alot of people as it brings a more unique experience with PokeMMO and its PvP.
