Nice! Looks great, my guy. I took a break from Monogatari about 6 months ago and decided to get caught back up. I'm currently 3/5 done with Hanamonogatari.

This is meant as a standard Monogatari appreciation/discussion thread. Post pics, discuss, whatever. But, please no toothbrush scene stuff, kay? We don't need this thread shut down :T

The way I see it, you put in the grind for the money either way. You wanna grind for the in-game currency to buy the vanity on GTL, go for it. You wanna buy RP and get it that way, go for it. Spending real money is no less legitimate than grinding in game. You still put in the hours of work to make the cash to buy that vanity. Both sides have to do some form of grinding. So, I personally see no issues with "Pay 2 Win." Especially since this game in particular isn't as pay to win as a lot of games from greedy game publishers are. You can go just as far here without spending money than you can as someone who does. And, if you want to spend real cash to support the developers and benefit from it in game, then what's problem with that? That's my opinion on the matter.

So, with these new "Reaper Hood" vanities I have to wonder. Which one will be worth more long-term? Obviously they are the same vanity with the same RP cost. However, the real price will be determined by which one players like the most and/or which one is rarer. So, assuming you bought both of the new vanities. Which do you guys think will be worth more down the line?

So, I think this is a simple one. I know when I go and buy something I think "Well, what would it look like with that?" But, the only way to find that out is to actually buy the thing and preview it with the other vanity after purchase. So, what I'm suggesting here is perhaps a shopping cart type system where you can preview multiple vanities at the same time. Effectively letting you create an outfit and be satisfied with the outcome without having to purchase everything one by one.

Realistically, this "MMO" is just a glorified emulator with multiplayer functionality.

It sure feels nice to be second rate. Like you're not good enough but it's just too late. You can cry all you want. You can die all you want. But you're always outclassed in this eternal debate. "Is there something wrong with me?" "Am I lacking appeal?" Well, it's kinda hard to tell When this pain feels so real. What's the deal? Why am I even trying? Am I better off crying? Talking to a wall where I get no where at all. And I just fall. It's all silence. Why even try this? Why do I get hurt by what I cannot feel? What I cannot steal? It's like I'm trapped in a cage. Taunted, rubbing what I'm not in my face. I wish I could erase. Everything that I am not. So, what I've got. Looks a lot better than the rest of the lot. But, my dreams are shot. So, I'll just rot. I wish I could forget. Say, "Oh, yeah. That's great." And my depression won't just elevate. But, how could you relate? It seems I'm always running After what wasn't there. So, go ahead and ignore me. 'Cause deep down I still care.

You can legitimately eat Slowpoke Tail in Gen 6. What has this world come to?

That's a possibility that had not crossed my mind. If only we could get a statement from the man himself, to resolve this matter.

So, with this new vanity. I want to bring to light the countless amount of Ludicolo that @Darkshade had to poach to give us the sombrero. Just think of the poor Ludicolo running around without their hats. Screaming in search of their missing parts. Pineapple juice running down their faces. The horror. We must put an end to the mistreatment of Ludicolo. If we don't, then who will? I suggest we boycott the Sombreros until Darkshade stops this needless violence. #SaveDaLudis Just look at this sad Ludicolo: Do you really want him to lose his hat as well?

@Darkshade How about a mask type vanity like Jindu has? But, it's a Magikarp. Something like this:

Even if you disregard having to redesign every vanity to fit alongside 3D graphics and the implementation of 3D sprites and camera movement etc. that coincides with 3D Pokemon. The devs would literally have to rewrite the ENTIRE engine to support the 16 directional movement that 3D Pokemon would involve. Not only is this nearly impossible, but the amount of vanities @Darkshade would have to pump out to gather such a budget for 3D conversion is monstrous. In short: Soon™

Now, I know what you're thinking: "How could we possibly make breeding any easier?" Well, I have an answer to that! I would like to propose a Nature Pill. Now, it would be too easy if we could just pick the nature we want. So, the pill once used would change the nature of your current Pokemon to one of the other 25 available Pokemon natures. HOWEVER, the system would be completely RNG based. This would not only add a bit of fun to the mix, but also cut down the cost of breeding tremendously. I would say make each pill around 10-15k. So, if you WANTED TO you could go for the Nature Pill, however; the number of pills it would take to get your preferred nature isn't guaranteed. Or you could go the more expensive route (or cheaper route, depending on RNG) by breeding a natured male the traditional way. Another option would be to make it to where once a nature has been changed, you cannot get the last nature again. Thus making it a maximum of 24 purchases of a Nature Pill to get the correct nature. However, this would kind of take away the thrill of gambling for the correct nature (Though, it could possibly save your wallet because you won't need to buy 300+ pills to get your nature if your RNG isn't the best.) Yet another option would be to have all natures on a predetermined and ordered list. Consuming a Nature Pill would change your Pokemon's nature to the next nature on the list. This would allow you to essentially change the set of a competitive Pokemon at any given time. Want to try out a Jolly instead of an Adamant? Just use 5 pills or so. Want to switch from a special wall to a physical wall? Just feed your Pokemon a few pills until it gets to the spot on the list that contains your preferred nature. Of course, once the end of the list has been reached it would just cycle to the beginning after the use of another pill. This opens up the door of possibilities and allows players a lot more options when making competitive sets. All you have to do is re-EV if you want to change sets. That is my proposal for a new breeding mechanic in the Nature Pill. What do you guys think?

If I were you I would get more type coverage. At least 2 walls (1 physical and 1 special). From looking at your team, a Timid 252 Speed Starmie with Scald, Psychic, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt could sweep that team quite easily. If I were you I would try and get a Reuniclus and either Mantine or Milotic (Special). And as for your sweepers, I would go 2 physcial and 2 special. Conk and Mamo would be a good combo for physical. And Volcarona/Magnezone and a special Lucario would also be nice. There are plenty of ways to go about team composition. But that team definitely won't get you very far as it is right now.
