What does it mean by "Tier shift"? Excited about this events date/time!

Damn, I wish more of these events were during times that I could participate. People like me who work regular 9-5 EST jobs have slim pickings it seems. Oh well, maybe I should move to another time zone lol.

I posted at exactly 8:50 EST, but didn't get in because the forum clock is not synced with the actual time. Any advice for next time?

Finally, a tourney that takes place when I'm not still at work.

The shiny encounter rate was thought to be 1/8192, just like in the regular games, which comes out to 0.012%. With donator status, it was thought to be 1/7373, which would be 0.014% (rounded up). There's no way that 0.012% pops up here as a coincidence. If nothing else, it was just the developers making a subtle joke. Though, I think it's outdated, as 1/8192 no longer seems to be the rate.

Hi, this is my first time starting a topic, and I apologize if this has already been discussed. Just a little while ago, I talked to the "blue shard guy" on Island 6 and answered "no" when prompted (because I didn't want to learn any moves). Anyways, I noticed that he said something strange about how "only 0.012% of POKEMON have unintended side-effects". 0.012%? What an obscure number. Well, it dawned on me that 0.012% is roughly equal to 1/8000, somewhere around the supposed shiny encounter rate. Is there some meaning behind this that relates shards with shinies, or am I reading too much into a mere coincidence?

The haloween event was really cool of course. And a couple of years ago I was part of a Snorlax parade...like 50-60 players going from town to town with Snorlaxes following them. Got some crazy funny reactions.
