I wonder where the hell people are pulling this misinformation from. I've seen like 4 people get things wrong. I'll do a Xatu here to clear things up We're NOT removing the Uber tier forever. We are adjusting the BP of some moves, the one that got hit the hardest was Outrage which was nerfed to keep things like Salamence, Haxorus, Dragonite from being too overwhelming since our goal is to keep as many things as possible from ending up in the Uber tier. Outrage not only was really really strong from a historical view point, but since we don't have powerful legendaries like Heatran and Jirachi, and since Outrage got an indirect buff due to the Confusion nerf, Dragons seemed to be way too much for MMO to handle and we want stuff like the previously mentioned Pokemon to have a shot at OU without a quickban. If nothing ends up being too strong then, as a result we may end up without an Uber tier as a consequence, which is our ideal scenario, but we won't bend backwards in order to keep Uber from existing as a tier by keeping obviously broken stuff in OU. Lowering stats, changing abilities and the implementation of the Fairy type were alternatives offered to us to keep as many Pokemon outside of Uber as possible, outside of the removal of certain Hidden Abilities on certain Pokemon (Moxie on Salamence, Speed Boost on Blaziken and Shadow Tag on Gothitelle) none of these were implemented. Hidden Power is being nerfed so it's no longer a catch all move to fill holes in movepools and so people opt for using other moves.

We removed Speed Boost as Blaziken's HA, Moxie as Salamence's HA and Shadow Tag as Gothitelle's HA and I think that's pretty much it. I think he's asking what we applied already.

Also for the record, keeping 120BP Outrage would also mean we have a stronger variation of Outrage than in og BW since confusion got nerfed to 30% chance of hitting yourself meaning it's even more spammable.

It's not a single Pokemon. For some reason when I said "Stuff like Salamence" everyone read it as "To keep Salamence", dragons in general hit like a freight train with Outrage

No, we were given the option but we opted to not do it since it'd be a clusterfuck and fairies wouldn't have any offensive moves anyways.

Hydreigon got pretty much outclassed by Latios and Mence/Haxorus by Garchomp in a way. Stuff like 4drag2mag would destroy OU in a meta without Heatran/Jirachi if their moves were left untouched. Fairy type was added to both keep Dragons in check (Since in VGC a Dragon Gem Boosted Draco meteor had almost no switch ins) and to nerf fighting which was very very strong in gen5 VGC (I heard a rumor it was also added to nerf Heracross since the Japanese hate fighting it or something but it's probably BS, it would still slightly explain why fairy resists bug though) Point is Gamefreak doesn't know how to balance at all and I'm sure everyone can agree on that, specially since their policy on nerfing things seems to be to break their legs.

We want to avoid a situation where every team gets forced to run p2 just to counter Mence. Draco is less spammable and forces him to switch out to get its spatk back, it has also been nerfed to 130 BP. Without Heatran around Dragons only need to run fire moves as coverage to have perfect neutral coverage which leaves them two free move slots to do whatever. Even with Heatran and other legendaries around, Outrage was an incredibly powerful and spammable move. Very few things could switch in to it, wall it and counter attack effectively and even then a lot of these things could easily be trapped and removed by Magnezone, meaning they have to lose lefties in order to use Shed Shell which in turn made them susceptible to chip damage and sometimes they were even unreliable switch ins due to it. Rain being limited to a few turns also makes fire coverage stronger. For the record Dragonite's Outrage is just as strong as Mence's. Flygon's Scarf and Band set might become a bit weaker than they were in gen5 UU but it also gains Dragon Dance due to gen 7 learnpools, so it should make up for it. Kingdra remains very strong in OU due to rain and its nice coverage and Altaria and Druddigon were bad even with 120 BP Outrage (Altaria's most used set was with Draco too and Druddigon still has plenty of other sets to use). In order to keep as many Dragon Pokemon as possible usable outside of Uber by giving them more checks and counters, and to fix Gamefreak's fuck up of making Dragons way too strong (which eventually led to the creation of Fairy type in order to balance them out because of how stupid Outrage spam was), keeping their strongest moves slightly weaker seemed like the best approach. There were other alternatives offered but I'm pretty sure that if you are unhappy with this approach of nerfing Outrage you'd have hated to have any of those as well.

Nah it will stick to 90 so stuff like Mence has a chance of staying in OU.

Not sure if I should go with this face or the previous one. According to my friends the previous looked too much like a Smeargle with a uniform. It keeps the Da Vinci hat though. May update later.

I definitely think Mienshao has potential for OU. Its LO set is great for luring in checks and weakening them and the scarf set hits a nice speed tier that allows it to revenge kill +1 Salamence with HP Ice with some prior damage and +1 Volcarona with Stone Miss.
