1. That is something I've noticed as well. Maybe something that can go hand in hand with some more lax moderation is that the OP of serious debate threads can request their thread be locked once they feel everything that can be said about the topic has been said. This shares the responsibility between everyone because I'm not too into having set time lengths on threads at all.

An OP of  a thread could request a lock regardless - OP's have  always been able to request their threads locked, so Xela, your point seems kinda redundant ):

Also, you guys need to get out of the mentality of locking threads/disabling future discussion. : p Like i said before, just let the thread die, which happens plenty of times. this allows future people to rebring up discussion without having to create a new thread.

2. How would Off Topic posters feel about not having a set moderator for the section? Instead it would just be looked at by Global Mods+ to make sure all is okay (a bit like how General is modded except more off topic-ish).

Not too into the idea, but that's probably because I talked to Squirtle and he said I'd become the new OT mod after it reopened.
idk if i was allowed to even say that but o well i'm not good at keeping secrets
Another thing I wanted to ask - if we were to clean up the section a little bit what would be the threads that are important to stay (Laidback, Anime, Swoll ect).

Probably any thread that has at least 10-20+ pages. Stuff that was being posted in actively. make sure to purge all of king's threads. and, of course, the ultimate debate because that's my only off topic thread and all hail deejaye's amazing threads.

Personally I feel like there should be a good mix between jokey stuff but also some "serious" discussions. An example of this would be the Cyber Bullying thread and the Fat Acceptance. Both were interesting topics that and I feel a lot of posters had great points they wanted to contribute. In the end though I noticed that people tried to derail them both, in my opinion this shouldn't be allowed. Maybe there could be a way to distinguish between the more serious threads and the normal OT threads where posts are more free ect.

Generally towards the end of discussion, when everyone's said their shit, this happens. Honestly, if you just let it run its course and hide the worst posts if it really calls for it and let the thread die. Serious debate threads generally don't last long because when you look at it, all that can be said about the topic has already been said.

3. ;_;

1. I don't draw things the moment someone posts a request.
2. Requests =/= guaranteed to get drawn.
3. Entitlement makes me less likely to draw a request.

I've been hanging out with my boyfriend who isn't someone I see on a daily basis, so im enjoying my time with him. Also when I make a post, Im probably on my phone since I mostly browse forums from my phone.
4. We will make sure plans are communicated to posters.

I wish you guys would make some form of communication that did not include hiding all our posts asking when OT is open. This is just another example of how you guys are poor at communicating - instead of saying "Sorry, it may take a week or two," you try to avoid the question and pretend it never really existed.

Djin sweetin, I think a brisk sketch of Winteru kirakiraing at wendigo would be excellent. In tribute to his famous 2014 quote.

Am I the only one who likes to look at a render & a completed project and just stare at the two for a bit? Always makes me feel good.(Assuming I like the end result)

i like to do that with art, looking at a sketch to the finished product is always a ":')" moment for me

7. Been thinking about it and I don't even know what they could alter about the off topic rules to 'make it better' ? The rules are pretty...standard.

Like a lot of people said, I feel like moderation needs to ease up. So this is pretty much my suggestion for the future off topic moderator:

Don't lock threads for the reason "things might go south," but focus on subverting it from going south. Hide the worst posts. Not every post that's hidden deserves to be hidden - just because a poster's opinion is invalid in your eyes, it shouldn't necessarily be hidden. if you think they're looking stupid, let them look stupid. maybe that's harsh but lMFAO they're posting for the public to see, so obvs they're ok with the consequences that people might think they're fucking stupid or an asshole.

If you feel a thread's topic is breaking a rule, work with the OP so that it is appropriate. Back when Volpi made the "Noobs say the darnest things" thread, I moderated the section he posted it in, and OK'd it as long as screenshots blurred usernames. In Trade Corner, when I closed people's threads because they had more than 1 or whatever reason, I PM'd them to let them know why and if they needed me to unlock it, I would. Try to find a solution that will keep the thread open rather than locking it because that's the easy way out!

Don't try to scrutinize something to decide if it's shitposting/deserves being hidden - that's a horrible mindset to have as a moderator. Focus more on allowing users to moderate themselves. Keep an open door (er, PM box?) and make sure to reply to PMs or questions. If you get criticized, don't respond like you're being attacked, instead say "ok" and take it in consideration

And probably the best suggestion - try to be part of the OT community. You'll be more accepted if you join in the posters' jokes. :^)

i prob had more to say but i wanna cuddle iwth plizard bye nerds :^)
