I can't travel back to Hoenn, help here !!

I  am facing a new issue 
I started in Hoenn and beat all gyms, then I travelled to Unova
Once, I got the 'mon I wanted to use there, I came back to Hoenn to train them, I did this a couple of times
But now, Mom no longer gives me the option to travel back
Is there a limit of some sorts?

Each region has a port town where you can take a boat to other regions. After you've got enough badges, this becomes the only way to travel. Unova's port is Castelia.

She will heal and provide emotional support.

Her purpose early on in a new region is to give you a way to go back if you changed your mind about the region swap. She no longer asks you about regional travel if you have enough badges in your current region to be able to visit the port town to use the boat. The boat is now the only way to switch regions from Unova, and you can use it as often as you want.
