Shiny Breeding

Hey folks, just a heads up:

 

If I breed 2 Shinies, the offspring is 100% shiny, correct?

I have both Magicarp and Gyarados as OT in my dex - if I bought a shiny female magi/Gyara and a male shiny breeder from GTL, will the offspring be OT, OT* or UNKNOWN OT?

Shiny and shiny will be 100% shiny. But the outcome will be Unknown OT if u don't have an OT shiny. (Probably as a motivation to hunt the shiny you want yourself)

If the Female shiny is your own OT. The female can breed with anything in its Egg Group to pass your OT onto the baby

 

OT F Shiny Gyarados + NonOT M Shiny Feebas = OT Shiny Magikarp

 

If you have a Male OT Shiny. To keep OT you MUST breed it in the same Evolution line

 

NonOT F Shiny Gyarados + OT M Shiny Magikarp = OT Shiny Magikarp

 

NonOT F Shiny Gyarados + OT M Shiny Feebas = UNKNOWN OT Shiny Magikarp

Thanks mate, that covered all I needed to know 😃 So basically, if you want to have a shiny with decent IV's you gotta go for Unknown OT or catch it yourself

Just to add;

The male OT shiny can also breed with a Shiny Ditto, instead of the same species. In case anyone wondered otherwise 😄

You also could breed a male with a shiny ditto and force Female to make it easier like @LucasLyn5 said since Females are a lot easier to maintain OT C:
