Tier Changes

JossueCR

Question

Tier changes every 3 or 2 months.

  • They don't let players adjust to the metagame.
  • Players who are learning a new tier will find it more difficult to learn.
  • We have to breeding pokemon that adjust to the changes.
  • It gets unbalanced by not being sure if it will work, based only on statistics
  • Rebuild every time tier is changed

Making the tier change after the season tournaments, in the NU season affects the tier change one day before.

I would have to agree, one of the reasons I haven't touched PvP in years is the constant fluctuations of the metas. I would love to slowly chip away at a team to use, but the last time I set one up, 4/6 of them dropped a tier by the next time I'd started to work on them. Quite discouraging to be honest.

While I'll admit there is large gaps of time to account for between training and breeding, I still think a casual player's experience can speak to a larger issue.

I can't personally comment on the best way to keep this from happening, I can say that PokeMMO is still evolving. The changing metas will likely come to a slowing point again when certain strategies are common knowledge.

Regardless, I do think this needs a looking over, upvoted!

They should put haxorus in UU already. Nobody plays it. Really weird.

If haxorus drops down to UU u ll expérience some pains, just like shaymin or specs salamence

There ré some pokes that should not drop
