[Denied]Selling useless items for GC coins (also a solution to selling)

My suggestion is that another NPC is added to the game corner who trades nuggets, star Pieces, stardust, big pearls and pearls for the game corner coins.

This:
Gives people a reason to pick up these items
Gives an alternate method of getting GC coins than slot grinding (I've checked and you cant get the items faster than you can make the coins at the slots)
With this implemented there'd be no reason to having selling anywhere else.

So far I've been calculating the GC coins worth of an item by what its worth in money then converted into coins e.g
Nugget is worth 10,000 poke dolla which is worth 500 GC coins.
the money to coins exchange rate in game being 20/1

I've been playing for 4 months I checked my inventory for the items:
Item(price at 1/20,1/40)
Nugget(500,250) - 5 - 2500
Star Piece(490,245) - 3 - 1470
Big Pearl(375,187.5) - 2 - 750
Stardust(100,50) - 10 - 1000
Pearl(70,35) - 11 - 770

MY total = 6490 or 3245 at 1/40 (not even enough for an eevee )

I feel this only adds to the game subtracting nothing

If this is considered too much as some may take advantage of it i suggest either halving the Coins received or keeping the 1k limit for buying coins on this NPC as well but I think the idea works on its own.

It'd help me a lot as i always 100% my alts, i have like 30 nuggets and like 40 big pearls, if this were implemented i think the value should be 1/10 of the actual sell price, so a nugget, 5000, would be worth 500gc coins.

1/20 is an exact take from the in game prices just what I was going for at 1/10 people would make more money and itd be faster farming staryu than doing slots
at 1/20 slots are still the easiest way to make coins its just a fun alternative method

Everybody seems to suggest anything to avoid using the slots, we've already said more games will come eventually, surely implementing anything else could be time spent developing those?

I would assume this suggestion was not made to avoid the slots, but to get a way to clean up the inventory primarily.

Edit: Also, prices can be adjusted and balanced at will.

Nuggets easy to obtain? You can like get 2 nuggets easy but that's only 1k GC coins, oh yeah I can buy that in a heartbeat.

i think what he means is, we should be able to seel hte items that are mostly only meant to be for selling

If we wanted you to be able to easily obtain an additional 1k coins ontop of the 1k you can already buy, wouldn't we have just let you buy 2k coins in the first place?

It is yes, but one requires time, whereas the other is just giving away stuff you can trade for, trading or picking up an item/catching it on a wild Pokemon takes significantly less time compared to grinding the slots.

Clearing inventory space is also something that will happen in due time, I don't believe there is a limit, I could be wrong, but it's not anything to worry about, and selling things for game corner coins is definitely not the way to go in my opinion.

ive ton test runs to see how long it takes to get all these items the nuggets are actually one of the slowest ones to get starpieces/stardust being the quickest
if you want to waste your time going through an hour to get 1k of coins when you could've got 4k just by grinding

the idea is to help clean the inventory as well as give you that lil boost when your just short of a GC tm or something.

and as I said in post if this was considered too overpowered the 1k coin buying limit could be on this NPC as well (although I don't think it should be)

Stardust is definitely the quickest, alt runs are also not the only way to obtain nuggets, the quickness - time taken applies to all items listed.

but still just being in GC would be faster so why so against
and again at the bottom i also suggested you could half the worth of the items making it 1/40
meaning a nugget is worth 250 coins and stardust is worth 50

I don't think grinding in the game corner would be faster, with a bunch of pokeballs, I can farm Staryu holding Stardust in a very quick fashion, not to mention you are also getting the benefits of hunting Pokemon at the same time as you earn the item for GC coins.

Seems a little too convient to me.

I never understood the ability to buy Coins with your Pokedollars in the original game. I never once played the slots. Basically I bought everything in the Game Corner with my Pokedollars, rendering the idea of a casino-style area completely inert.

I think making it so that the Game Corner isn't just a glorified shop was a good thing, as long as we're not stuck with slots forever. If new games are being developed, I'm all for that, so I'd have to say no to this one.

farming staryu it would take approximately 13 hrs to make an eevee i think i can do it faster in GC

Its just a nice lil bonus when your out catching staryus anyway if you sit there for 5 hrs you can get a tm how is that bad it just rewards you for sticking with it

even if new games are in development i can code this NPC in less than 20 mins and i only have a basic understanding so yeah lets wait a few months for more minigames instead of having a nice lil idea the now

But you still miss my point, I'd rather the place operate as a casino in which you have to play for bigger winnings. I never saw the point in being able to walk in there and clear the place out without having to play for a single minute. We have the slots. The extra games would just be a bonus.

20 staryus an hour im going at

around 150 needed
should get you 75 stardust and 7.5 star Pieces

so 7.5 hr at 20 staryus an hour(at 1/20 coins/poke dolla)
or 15hrs at 20 (1/40 <at half value)

Just make stardusts 5 game coins or even 1. Doesnt bother me as long as we get rid of this stuff and maybe after all the long hours we put into grinding pokes we get a small tm out of it for our troubles. Even when we leave the hunting ground tired.... and exhausted.... and feeling really bad cause all we caught were adamant staryu with 0 in speed IV holding stardust.
