I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong, but I can’t get Daisy to raise the happiness, she just talks to me and does nothing else. Thanks for the help.

She only does so once a day, maybe try tomorrow ?

Daisy only raises happiness one time a day, yes. If you need to do this immediately there's a neat guide you can use here that will allow you to use soothe bell/berries etc to raise happiness yourself.
