Popular Post Tranzmaster
Note to All: This is a new and updated clause list because of the recent addition of Tournament Mode (and the clauses that came with it). As you might know, Tournament Mode/Automated Clauses may vary in enforcement from Normal Mode/Non-Automated Clauses, so we felt the need to clarify this. LIST OF CLAUSES Clauses are several standard rules that can be used in a match. They serve to stop overpowered strategies, reduce the amount of RNG and make the game more enjoyable overall. There is a differentiation between Tournament mode Clauses and Normal Mode Clauses. In Tournament mode, these rules will be enforced automatically, while in Normal mode, activating any of these clauses usually results in disqualification.Normal Mode Standard Clauses:- Sleep Clause: You will be disqualified if, at the end of your turn, two of your opponent's Pokemon were put to sleep by a move you used but were not forced into, and neither have had their sleep removed since then.° In other words: If you have already put a Pokemon on your opponent's side to sleep and it is still sleeping, you can't put another one to sleep.° A move you were "forced into" is a move you must use because all other moves (that cannot inflict sleep) are disabled (by Encore, or some combination of Taunt, Disable, Torment, or lack of PP or any other similar situation where you are forced into using it) and you cannot switch (due to trapping moves/abilities, Ingrain, or having all other Pokemon be fainted or any other similar situation where you cannot switch).° This clause includes moves called by Metronome, Sleep Talk, Assist. It does not include Magic Coat.° Rest, used by either player, is never counted by this clause.- Evasion Clause: Moves that raise Evasion cannot will have no effect. BrightPowder and Lax Incense cannot be used.- OHKO Clause: All Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold in its moveset. You will be disqualified when one of your Pokemon is revealed to have been brought into battle with one of these moves.- Pristine Clause: All Pokemon must come into battle full healed, as if they were just brought to a Pokemon Centre. No status condition, full HP and all the moves full PP.- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same National Pokedex number on a team. For example, using a team with two Steelix would break this clause. Using different forms on the same team also breaks the clause since they share the same Pokedex number.- Bag Items Clause: Using an item from your bag is not allowed and will result in disqualification.- Broken/Banned Moves Clause: These moves will be specified in each tournament thread. Usage of these moves will result in disqualification. Tournament Mode Standard Clauses:- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same National Pokedex number on a team. For example, using a team with two Steelix would break this clause. Using different forms on the same team also breaks the clause since they share the same Pokedex number. You will be unable to start a duel in Tournament mode if this clause is broken.- Sleep Clause: Only one pokemon on your opponent's team can be put to sleep at at time. Self-inflicted sleep via Rest or Effect Spore does not trigger this clause. Potentially breaking this clause will make the sleep effect fail on the Pokemon.- Bag Item Clause: You will be unable to use an item from your bag.- Evasion Clause: All Pokemon may not have the moves Double Team or Minimize in its moveset. You will be unable to start a duel in Tournament mode if this clause is broken.- OHKO Clause: All Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold in it's moveset. You will be unable to start a duel in Tournament mode if this clause is broken. SirGaryOak, Patrick, Arimanius and 31 others 34 Link to comment
