Kyu Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Problem: PokeMMO requires certain ports to be open when connecting to the server, but you have a firewall configured to block outgoing connections from your computer by default. Solution: The following outbound ports need to be opened in order to connect to the game: TCP 7777 (Game) TCP 2106 (Login) TCP 80 (Feed) TCP 443 (Secure Feed, Announcements) Instructions for each support operating system are listed below: Windows Windows XP 1. Open the Start Menu 2. Navigate to the Control Panel 3. In Category View, navigate to the Windows Security Center 4. Use Manage Security Settings for Windows Firewall 5. Navigate to the Exceptions tab 6. Use the Add Port... button and create the exceptions: 1. PokeMMO-1 port 2106 TCP 2. PokeMMO-2 port 7777 TCP 3. PokeMMO-3 port 80 TCP 4. PokeMMO-4 Port 443 TCP 7. Close all Windows Firewall dialogues Windows 8 / Windows 7 / Windows Vista The latest instructions for Windows Firewall in these operating systems may be found at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-port-windows-firewall OSX The latest instructions for the Application Firewall may be found at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1810 If you use an alternative 3rd-party firewall interface such as IceFloor, WaterRoof or NoobProof, consult the documentation for your firewall interface. Linux This solution will only provide instructions for the most popular Linux distribution, Ubuntu. If you are trying to open a port in an unusual iptables configuration, consult the iptables man file.
