BurntZebra
Well I think its pretty obvious scizor needs to go now that slowking, its only possible counter is now banned. Gimmick hp fires on pokemon can 2hko scizor but its not really realistic. Link to comment
Tyrone
Scizor won't be banned today along with Slowking and Sceptile. Eventhough the UU Council recognizes Scizor as top tier physical wallbreaker, we'd like to test it in UU for a while. Close attention will be given to Scizor and its role in the UU meta. ThinkNice
I'll find it very odd if this is not immediately banned after Slowking because you'll just have a very unbalanced meta for another week till it is gone. Link to comment

It wasn't our initial idea to ban this immediately after Slowking, but seeing how the community thinks it should be it shall be reconsidered. Link to comment
ThinkNice
well if you can discuss it now I can ban it for week 1 of PSL. Just sayin' Link to comment
DestructX
theres no way to really take down morning sun scizor you have mantine / tentacruel / qwilfish that resist superpower / steel wing, but all 3 of them allow scizor to just go +6 and kill them (scizor most likely needs sp def evs to pull it off vs 252 sp attk tentacruel) Link to comment
Tyrone
Alright, after some quick deliberation and extra calculations UU Council has come to following conclusion. Scizor has a combination of both offensive and defensive dominant presence. Offensively, it has superb attack and a decent offensive movepool to complement that; Scizor's power means that it's current banning coincides with Slowking's ban, due to the latter being the only Pokemon that could reliably wall it. Supplementing its offensive capabilities is its great defensive typing that leaves it with a sole weakness as well as decent innate Defense, in addition to reliable recovery in Morning Sun. Scizor has proven itself to set up very rewardingly and to an extent very easily, despite its low Speed and vulnerability to Fire type moves, which are, to a debatable extent, considerably rarely used apart from physical Pokemon, and even then it can survive one. It's bulk and offensive power ultimately makes up for its flaws and makes it a very dangerous offensive Pokemon for the tier. As a result, the council has decided to ban Scizor from UU to BL under the offensive characteristic. Robofiend 1 Link to comment
