Help identifying useful stats for pokemon

Hey guys,

 

I posted in the quick fire thread but had no reply so i'm trying here.

 

Could anyone point me to a resource where I can see what stats are useful for competition pokemon along with moveset options too?

In essence I want to know what IVs are valuable and what moves are good for certain pokemon.

I know smogon has a dex but i'm not sure which gen to use after the updates to pokemmo.

There are a few threads that will be great for you.

 

Depending on the tier you will play, check out these -

If you want to play OU

If you want to play UU

If you want to play NU

If you want to play Doubles

 

Have you not yet chose a tier or are you not aware of the differences or just unsure which to pick?

I would personally start playing the OU tier because I feel it's easiest to get into and it's the most played tier so you can get a lot of easy practice. Don't let that discourage you from going straight into the other tiers though. You can check the Pokedex and check what Pokemon are in which tier to see what type of Pokemon you would rather use, if that helps you pick.
