I'm going to bump this thread, because I feel like it's a very important subject and should not be ignored.
Time after time I hear the CMs, GMs and Developers state that they wanna keep the PokeMMO experience the closest possible to the games we all know and love. This has been heavily enforced whenever suggestions are brought up with very little exceptions. So why is the Elite Four (which has been an established part of the games to provide a steady and more enjoyable way of EXP and money) changed entirely to completely defeat it's purpose? Right now this game is stuck in a very odd place. This is partially because it's in alpha and a lot of content is unavailable to us (which is fine and to be expected from a game in its early stages), but the game could be much better in its current state of development by simply removing the cooldown on the Elite Four and have it function like it does in the games.
The metagame is stuck at level 50 and no one wants to go higher than that because it's simply too inconvenient to farm Tangelas all day, run the Elite Four on multiple alternate accounts (which people already have due to TM/Move Tutor farming) and the Gary trick. But the reality is that level 100 Pokemon are far more convenient due to the fact that you don't have to be scared about over leveling them (allowing you to experiment with EVs without fear) and be able to use them outside of just duels and competitions. It's not too much of a problem now, but as more Pokemon get released they will be completely unusable because they won't evolve until 50+ or will have no access to their signature moves. Two examples of this now would be Umbreon with Moonlight and Dragonite, along with Heracross with Megahorn and Tyranitar when they are released. Farming the Elite Four for EXP has never been a problem, and certainly wont become one. Cap the money obtained if needed (although there are much better ways of getting money), but the reliable steady EXP from the Elite Four is necessary for the progression of this game.
