I feel like there are much better ways to have fun in an MMO than to lose a few million on a misclick... The game shouldn't need "small oofs" to be fun

Weird question about GYM rematch rules

But AI gets hacks and can "predict" some moves and throw out a pokemon that resists it -
Make the ai trainers more like in the games

True. You can abuse having a counter to super effective switch ins. Like a water move on a grass type or flying move on a water type -

Agreed. No more starter sweeps, now you need more than just a high level starter for some gyms. Which is a nice change from the main series, where just going ham with your starter will win against most gyms -
Competitive Assistance Quick-fire Questions.

Steelix is amazing as a wall. It is hands down the best wall at that tier IIRC, with tons of resistances and 2 immunities (to toxic/toxic spikes and electric moves) A good set for steelix would be Relaxed nature (lower speed, don't worry, you don't need that speed anyways) with max EVs in HP and defense, with 6 in attack For moves, try: earthquake, it crushes lots of pokemon, and usually can force a swap gyro ball, it turns a weakness (slow speed) into an advantage, what more can you ask for? stealth rock, abuses the fact that you can force swap outs dragon tail, since taunt users outspeed and force you to attack, dragon tail gets around taunt -
Competitive Assistance Quick-fire Questions.
RIchardZheng replied to Noad's topic in Competitive Assistance
Scizor doesn't really need speed, as it will get bullet punch for priority and with a BS speed of 65, you won't be outspeeding much. But it obviously depends on the set you are running. Some offensive swords dance sets pack max speed (including EVs) as well as jolly nature, also scarf sets pack max speed. But since your nature is Adamant, you probably don't care about speed What do you want your Gliscor to do? -

RIchardZheng replied to Resurgence47's question in Suggestion Box
How about no? Trainers are supposed to be a challenge cause in the main games, AI was so bad that it was meme worthy -

Make catching Zekrom/Reshiram 100% chance
RIchardZheng replied to Mang0craft's question in Suggestion Box
Exactly why it needs to be 100%, because luck shouldn't make you waste a ton of pokeballs for no reason. Also yea my luck leaves a lot to be desired -
All I know is that anything with that much usage over the others needs a swift kick to the ban list. I can understand being 5% more used or whatever. But being used at least 20% more is a good way to see that there is a huge problem
-
I think the main problem is that it's a LOT of effort but they aren't sure how to make money off of it.

After beating E4 seems like a fair time to unlock legendaries. As long as they don't flood PVP, then it's OK. Maybe custom tournements will have legendary rules or something
-
No thanks. Sinoh is already gonna add many new toys to play with
-
Just have all the legendaries but ban them from PVP and tournements. So nothing changes PVP wise but story wise you get a lot more toys to play around with

What if it's not a bot, just a dumb human? -
Luckily for you, Salamance has such a wide movepool that a mixed set can fit into a lot of teams. I wouldn't worry about what to run on mixed Sal, as it can plug any holes in your team. I would start with a strong defensive core and a strong offensive core, then work to fit salamance into it all. Salamance is great in that it can really fit any role with tons of good coverage moves. You got draco meteor, crunch, hydro pump, fire blast, and lots of other strong moves to play around with.

You NEED rapid spin or defog if you want the slightest chance of using volcarona. You want something that can tank super effective hits and resist them, you want something that complements it well. You also want firey dance as it lets you exploit stallers by massively boosting special attack. A good ally could be a drought user to weaken water based moves and make volcarona's STABs even greater. Works even better with firey dance because if they try and stall out the sun, you can just keep boosting to stallbreak. Tentacruel is a great ally. It resists strong water attacks (like rain boosted hydro pumps) as well as clearing the deadly stealth rocks. Also it lays toxic spikes which will help deal with any pokemon that think they can take advantage of volcarona and stick around to boost up.

Depends. Sometimes I color coordinate. Kingdra gets a dive ball and pelipper gets a dive ball. Some get balls that are ###, skarmory gets luxary ball and hydreigon gets a dusk ball. Whatever looks cool

Why so many shinies of specific mons?
RIchardZheng replied to Gravemind93's topic in General Discussion
Hordes make finding shiny pokemon a lot easier. More shiny pokemon of one species means that the price of them is much lower -
You could also use sturdy Pokémon
