  1. I don't think that's needed anymore. Would make shunting for a few specific mons maybe easier, but there are now many great spots for EV training and farming now that are very close to the PC and much better than any spot close to a SB.
  2. It has been suggested over and over, over the years, but as far as I'm aware the suggestions regarding SBs never got much staff engagement hence the thread. C'mon, it's been 8 years.

Going a little off-topic, but if this is the direction that the game is going towards, then it would be very helpful to have a (pinned) list of custom changes/nerfs applied to the game, so that new and returning players aren't completely lost by the constant nerfs/buffs. I like nerfs/buffs and how unique PokeMMO is getting, by the way. I think the game has gotten considerably better since I last played, but it should really be documented somewhere.
  4. Player homes were suggested way before Hoenn was released, back in 2013-2015. We now have secret bases and while they are really cool, they are also useless. Are there any future plans for adding actual (unique, maybe?) functionality to secret bases or maybe overhauling them with custom maps?
  5. They don't seem to have made changes that are on PokeMMO though, like Sharpness Gallade and removal of SD from Garchomp. I don'tt understand how it's any different from normal BW
  6. @Gizmo, a definitive solution would be to only allow ranked play during specific "peak" hours when there are typically a lot of people playing. Has this been already considered and decided against? I know that it's drastic and would suck for many people, but would also completely solve this issue at least in OU.
  7. Not directly related, but is lowballing hard considered scamming? I.e. if I offer $10M for a Kyu Hat or something along these lines, and they accept my offer immediately. My understanding is that scamming would involve someone attempting to convince someone to give something away or sell for very cheap via social engineering? Lowballing should *always* be fine.. right? Related to the actual topic: All profit that comes from buying/selling barring long-time investments is done by taking advantage of other people's mistakes. Buy low, sell high, that's just capitalism. To have a truly fair trade system, all items and Pokemon would have to have a fixed value, but nobody wants that.
  8. Picture in attachment. Would you be willing to make an offer? I'm not sure how much I should ask. BTW, Tentacool/Cruel aren't rare because they can be fished with an old rod and the summary makes no distinction between a Surf encounter and a Rod encounter. Shellder/Staryu and etc that require an Good/Super Rod to obtain are the rare ones.
  9. The issue isn't that the items are consumed, the issue is that pvp rewards suck compared to other methods to make money. pvp payouts should be increased considerably.

    Allow the repositioning of the battle window. In smaller screens, the fixed position of the battle window causes a noticeable number of pixels to be completely wasted. I like having a slightly larger-than-default chat window, and I don't want it to overlap with the battle window. For this, I need to scale down the size to about 90% in a 1366x768~ resolution. I wouldn't need to downsize it at all if the battle window could be docked at the top of the screen instead of being centered.

    Please allow us to minimize the GTL window (like the current PVP windows can be minimized). It's very annoying to have a specific advanced search open, and have to search it again because I had to do something else in-game and therefore close the GTL window. EDIT: Being able to minimize the Pokedex window would also be huge..

  14. Would be nice to have uber legendaries, and to have a proper uber tier.
  15. The sacred beasts were once regular Pokémon, they were brought back to life and granted legendary status by Ho-Oh, makes sense for them to breed and for there to be multiple of each. Even some uber beasts like Lugia are known in the lore to have descendants. PokeMMO has quite a few design choices that I think are bad, but this is definitely not one of them.
  16. I didn't know about the shortened chat shortcuts, thanks. I believe that /lang is relevant enough that it warrants a shortened version if possible, though. There seems to be also no shortcut to get into the team chat.
  17. Mediafire has awful speeds for me, and I cannot download from MEGA without paying them. Would it be possible to upload the mod to Google Drive or another better hosting provider? Thank you.
  18. Add shorter versions of commands, or allow the player to customize how they call commands. Examples: /g = global /t = team /c = channel /t = trade /l = change chat language Commands of sporadic usage, such as /unstuck don't need a shortened version.
  19. yeah I saw that, but I don't think it's very useful because I want the person I'm playing with to always appear. Do people in the same link thing always appear with greater priority? If so, then this could be a solution
  20. Reason: too many people in one spot, too many follower sprites, can make the game very ugly and polluted and even more so if you're playing through the story with a friend. Can't tell NPCs from players, can't see items etc. Back in the good old days, channel 6-8 were mostly empty and that was pretty good for that purpose.
  21. Currently you can no longer Surf at S.S. Anne and get to the Mew truck, because you now need the CUT HM to progress. Tentacruel, at the S.S. Anne, is only available by surfing. I own an old account that can surf at the S.S. Anne, get to the Mew truck and catch Tentacruels this way. Are these Tentacruels worth something or no? Edit - I think Good/Super Rod encounters are also not possible to get at SS Anne on new accounts? Edit2 - I'm selling these pokémon, if anyone is interested.

You can't really show it off as much as shiny mons and the effect isn't even all that great since its limited to 1 mon, and even 1/10k is still rare (okay 1/5k is a bit much since PokeMMO's playerbase is so large rn). 400-500k for that kind of effect considering you still have to waste money and time breeding to pass pokerus seems fair, not worth it unless you really want to show off or are really lazy I get your point there (I think?), but you're overestimating it. 10-15% exp boost for 20 minutes isn't all that great since you lose time passing pokerus to the pokemon you want to train, and you can always nerf it if its broken. PokeMMO isn't the vanilla games though. And of course it does make sense - the way different beings react to the same virus can be different after all. Maybe add some random % in that if you really want to reflect that :)
  23. I know it would break the game to implement it as-is, but dont you like my suggestion? If so, why? Also, Pokerus is a virus, implementing it as an item would be very stupid and unnecessary

Doesn't have to be as rare as shinies, something like 1/5-10k would be good enough IMO Pkrs boost: +30% exp and double EV gains Pokérus is permanent when its obtained from a wild pokemon or from an egg. You can breed a pokemon with Pokérus (shouldn't require both parents to have it) for the egg to have permanent pkrs. You can infect pokemon on your party with temporary pokerus, it should last around 20 minutes and only give a 10-15% exp boost. After the effect is over, the pokemon is cured and cant ever have it again. Would also be nice to see a custom particle for pokérus mons.
