7. Maybe one day we'll get all the hats we were promised by el ducko *sniff*

8. It was always planned for the whole process to become automated eventually, just takes a whole lot of work. I'm not sure about making the bracket secret at this stage, I always liked the idea of absolute transparency.
9. You've been doing a great job in Support man.

10. Go into Recording Devices and disable/enable it.
11. OP why would you make a forum account 4 months after you stopped playing?
12. I've said this before somewhere but hosting the same tournaments each month honestly starts to feel like a chore for the host. Remember, the gimmicks are a break/alternative to regular tournaments for the hosts too and are also a chance to show some creativity. If WND/SNH/FNF come back that's great, but they're quite draining to host. Getting enough people together on roughly the same day each month is tough as well. The only tournament that has been consistently done for over a year(mostly) is TT, which I'm so grateful for. Edit: Just realised it turns two soon! Thanks to everyone continuing to host that event among all the other events that are hosted each month.
13. Shiny + Shiny = Shiny. Nice and simple. Why are we attempting to solve an non-existent problem with a convoluted system that makes no sense? Shiny paste? Really? Until OP gives solid economic reasoning using correct terminology as to why the current implementation on the test server is going to have such a terrible effect on the already broken shiny market, I'm just not really going to be interested in his statements. So far all I've seen is posturing and attempts to gain credibility via the number of inconsequential staff members that have 'liked' his post, as if that meant something to the argument.

15.
I'm really drunk
Now how can I frame my response in a more appropriate manner.... OP don't strawman pls It's a good idea that helps the economy of the game and gives more options to its players Don't attempt credibility through those means I love everyone, even you OP.
16. It's a bloody excellent idea that compliments the recent breeding changes perfectly. As I expected when I read through this thread, every single person that I consider has credibility (notable, been around for a while) either agrees with the idea or isn't fussed. These are the players that have been through several changes in the economy (for better and for worse) and have the experience necessary to properly examine this idea and predict its impact on the game. My favourite bits from this thread: OP attempting to add credibility to his argument by stating multiple times he's a shiny trader that will benefit from this change (it doesn't), the Duckie=Dictator thing (more like ducktator amirite) and related to that the whole "one staff member" thing. Let me ask you this: if only one staff member was in favour of this idea why the fuck is it on test? Kek. Edit: used a naughty word
17. There still isn't a way to tie forum accounts to game accounts. A penalty system was discussed eons ago but you've hit the nail on the head for the main reason it was abandoned (also keeping track of accounts is a lot of work). I think regardless of the registration method used the two main factors for people showing up are still time of the event and type of event. Oceanic will still have problems on occasion, I don't think a different registration will affect that.
18. So what if it just so happens someone signs up and then for whatever reason (emergency, internet, etc.) doesn't make it to the event? Does the tournament just get started assuming everyone is there? I honestly can't believe this was (out of everything) singled out as a problem with events. The fact of the matter is that sometimes people don't show. It depends on a lot of factors, a lot of which are out of anyone's control.
19. Unfortunately I missed this entirely when it was relevant, so I won't bother writing paragraphs on this (senile did a pretty good job anyway). For an event with a ten minute-prior-to-start signup is rollcall still being done?
20. The people will find out sooner or later
