I see a lot of potential spawns there listed in Pokedex but I have no idea how it's supposed to work. Hoping somebody could explain this.

My suggestion is simply adding a 2nd egg group filter that can further reduce the pool of Pokemon to find those in both egg groups as opposed to just one.

I'm a little confused about what you're asking. Yes you'd still have to work backwards a bit to find what's compatible with this intermediary Pokemon but at least you'd know what has to be a female and can make sure it can learn the egg moves of what you're trying to breed across. In this case Wailmer male with Water Spout bred with female Remoraid/Octillery, then bred again with another Remoraid/Octillery to become male to be bred with the female Squirtle. I usually use PokemonDB for my questions regarding the game, but their egg groups listed aren't EXACTLY the same; Water 1/2/3 instead of A/B/C and the absence of a Chaos egg group. So I think adding a 2nd filter really has no downside.

Recently was trying to get Water Spout egg move on a Squirtle when I realized I had to essentially transfer the move across multiple egg groups, and to do this I had to find a specific Pokemon in BOTH of those egg groups. I don't see any downside to adding a 2nd egg group filter when searching GTL that would only be used if applicable to specific Pokemon.

My response was because he asked if the Pokemon that is known for being able to learn literally every move in the game is able to learn a move in the game. Searching the forum for the answers is good but Googling Smeargle probably wouldn've answered this.

Lol, this exact same thing happened after I was finished Hoenn. I used my Manectric with Discharge to horde farm and level up my entire team multiple times. Then I discovered our lord and savior Starmie.

I'll be harsh, I'm with FighterChamp, I don't think this is possible. I might be missing something but how is he supposed to learn his HMs? I don't think I've ever seen an AI use Cut, Rock Climb, Defog, etc. If he's using GTL to sketch utility mons or battling actual people who have the HMs on their Pokemon that's one thing, but through natural play against AI trainers? I don't see it. Also yeah I don't see this beating the Elite 4. Even with Choice Items. My first big roadblock was Tate & Liza at Mossdeep Gym in Hoenn because it's a double battle. I don't see you overcoming that either. I could be wrong and might be forgetting something, but I think the inability to learn progression HMs in and of itself is reason for this run to fail.

Can I ask which methods you do personally? Right now I do berry farming and gym reruns while shiny hunting in my free time for myself. I'm wondering which methods you found most rewarding for the amount of time, effort, and money spent. For example, previously I thought ditto farming was more profitable than field group farming.

Kinda hate you for already finding another shiny while doing the same thing I'm doing. Kinda think the game hates you for giving you the world's worst IVs on the peli.

I'd like to do something a bit more dynamic than simply listing my shinies with the hours taken to acquire them. I'd still like to list when I got them but it'd be cool to have a visual rather than just a description.

Question: I've seen it on the suggestion board a few times about reward shinies will never be usable in competitive PvP because they can't be bred and will objectively never perform better than a non-shiny, properly bred 5x31. Will these rewards ever change to reflect that? I assume some of the best players will be competing in this and I myself am not into PvP, but I feel like it'd be hard to be motivated to work so hard for something they'll never really use.

Oh ok, I use Teddiursa for that. I get the Cute Charm thing but I don't get why anybody would get a dedicated Run Away mon for shiny hunting. Most times they're like max level with False Swipe, a sleep move, and maybe Taunt/Mean Look or something.
