Damn...several of this guy's vanities are worth more than I've ever spent in PokeMMO combined. So I assume you're just going to hold them for several months/years to get a good ROI? I'm in the under 5m club so I can't imagine this is useful to me as I'd probably have to be flipping to get any sort of actual wealth.

[Unofficial] Shiny Existence Thread [5th Life]
Bryce replied to FlareBlitzz's topic in General Discussion
I see you guys using some weird leads; Pachirisu, Mincinno, Delcatty, Eevee. I get the Cute Charm thing on Delcatty but what are the other ones for? Or what are you running on them? -
PokeMMO Automated Breed Helper(And breeding tutorial on the Help page)
Bryce replied to Nibero's topic in Guide Tavern
Commenting to say I'll definitely use this if it ends up making breeding comp mons easy to visualize. -
After using this rebattle team I've found it has a few problems. Against Ground gyms that run Excadrill+Sandstorm you basically lose a Pokemon turn 1. Torkoal isn't slower than the sand setter so Excadrill gets the speed boost and pretty much will one-shot something while you pop any existing balloons. Air Balloon teams are susceptible to missing Rock Slides and losing Archeops early, most notably on Electric gyms. Water gyms usually run Focus Sash or are quite tanky so usually both Ty and Tork need to Solar Beam something for it to die, and therefore usually get smacked by the surviving mon. Also Pelipper is slower than Torkoal in Kanto Water gym sometimes and you get slapped by Swift Swim and the inability to turn 1 Solar Beam. And finally, Grass gyms get the benefit of Chlorophyll speed boost from Torkoal's sun. Sometimes this can result in a big chunk off Ty or being put to sleep with Grasswhistle. A majority of these problems could probably be solved by purposely making Torkoal slow, so that might be a solution, at least for the Excadrill problem, but usually this is paired with a Sturdy Tyranitar, so you'll probably still lose somebody.

Starting competitive play. (Singles) (Work-in-progress)

Hoping to see more additions to this. As somebody considering getting into OU PvP it would be nice to know what to expect. -
Being able to link Pokemon without them being in your party
Bryce posted a question in Suggestion Box
I mostly think this would be nice to show off Pokemon in PC without having to swap them with your currently active party. To a lesser extent this could be used to allow people to link mons from GTL as well. -
Does anybody know the specifics of pheno spawn mechanics?
Bryce replied to Bryce's topic in General Discussion
Have you heard any updates in regards to this? -
Does anybody know the specifics of pheno spawn mechanics?
Bryce replied to Bryce's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I just need 2 mons to complete my dex. Audino will be a pain but I can probably eventually find Alomomola when I start shunting Staryu. I did put in a suggestion to have phenos appear on TV the way swarms do, but I don't know how much activity a suggestion needs to receive before it's taken seriously... -

Since they essentially are on a 15 minute rotation, can you tell me if they start on the hour? Like at 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 etc? -

I still need an Audino and Alomomola for OT national dex completion and I've almost never seen any callouts for either of these spawns...so I'm thinking of taking it into my own hands. However, I don't know exactly how the spawns work in this game; specifically how many at a time, whether there's a cooldown, and what the spawn interval is. If anybody KNOWS specifics, please leave a reply. I ask that you do NOT reply if you think something works a certain way, I'd only like to hear from people who are sure that what they're saying is true in this regard, as being wrong means a lot of wasted time on my part. -
Allow phenos to be called out on TV the same way as swarms
Bryce replied to Bryce's question in Suggestion Box
That would work too, but I myself have been looking for Audino and Alomomola for the longest time and they never get called out. Most commonly it's some cave or Giant Chasm because nobody really goes to the locations of these 2 mons unless they're actively looking over and over again. Something to alleviate and unnecessary grind would be nice. -
Allow phenos to be called out on TV the same way as swarms

Self-explanatory. Pheno hunting is kinda cancer. -
Something I thought of at work today. People (myself included) tend to discredit non-OT shinies, and to a lesser extent, non-OT comp Pokes. I'm wondering if it's possible and if others feel it would be a slight improvement to have the person who won the event that rewards the Pokemon to have their OT rather than the person who is awarding the prize.

So I've completed all four region. I made a consistently successful gym rebattle team and can clear all the gyms in a little under 2 hours. I've got less than 10 pokemon I need to catch to complete the OT pokedex, most of which are phenos. Now I'm wondering what to do afterwards. The two that stick out most to me are shiny hunting and competitive PvP. Shiny hunting I know will be fun but it'll also be extremely monotonous and expensive in terms of leppas while I try to stay awake throughout the thousands of encounters necessary. Comp PvP I know much less about in terms of actual fighting and the rewards attached to it. This is something I'm mostly wondering because the way some people describe it is that PvP IS the goal. I feel like I would need something to work towards to enjoy it, and if the end goal is just endless battling I think I'll get tired of it quickly and be disappointed with the amount of effort it would take to find this fact out. So I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what their experience is with these two or if their endgame is something totally different. I'm genuinely curious so hopefully you guys will leave me something to read. Thanks!

Is there a good method when it comes to pheno hunting?
Bryce replied to Bryce's topic in General Discussion
I assume that's the Chinese word for "pheno"? I can't read the language so I assume that I'll be able to tell where it is based on a number that would correspond with the route? -
Title basically. I'm working on completing the National Dex and I need 9 Pokemon, most of which are pheno exclusive. I've noticed that Global is usually full of sperg and very rarely do I see a pheno callout, so I'm wondering how people went about this without wasting massive amounts of time?
-
Cus I kinda don't. From what I understand everybody is after vanities and particle effects, but requires coordination with 2-4 people in a wave-style Pokemon run that lasts around an hour. Do I have that right? Cus it doesn't sound particularly fun but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something here.

Just wanna say some feedback from using this team. Some rough combinations include Misty using Pelipper/Floatzel against the Drought strat doesn't work because this Pelipper is slower than Torkoal and gives Floatzel Swift Swim. Which it uses to toss out Aqua Tail and one-shot my Typholosion. Against this team I think I brought Kingdra/Torkoal so Kingdra's Swift Swim could hit Floatzel while Torkoal tanks. The other combination is against Volkner where he uses Luxray and Pelipper. BirbEQ loses to this because Luxray has a Focus Sash and will cut in after Archeops unless Rock Slide hits AND flinches. I used the Drought opener to beat this setup. Otherwise Canaclave Steel gym is a massive toss up no matter. What, Drought probably works better because of fire against steel and since there's almost always a Steelix I'll almost always lose my Archeops to a Gyro Ball. Ground/Steel gym can also have Excadrill which always moves first in the sandstorm setup it always has so BirbEQ loses to this and Drought would be the preferred start.

Ability to click on people in chat for profile/trainer card/etc
Bryce posted a question in Suggestion Box
Title. I think it'd be cool to have a trainer profile we can view without having to battle the person to see them and stuff. -
I second this. Mightyena horde farming for attack EVs in Hoenn can be a pain.
-
Thanks, yeah that's what I ended up doing. Now it's just a matter of EVs, levels, and movesets. I imagine that when somebody does the gym rebattles they rebattle ALL the gyms in ALL the regions? Ideally with an amulet coin active? I imagine that's something you get more efficient with as time goes on - memorizing gym puzzles and the like. Or do people ever just avoid certain gyms for that reason?

Does Archeops not need specific IVs? EDIT: Or Flygon?
