1. This is something that's been bothering me for a while... On the handheld games, scratch/tackle is always the first move a starter Pokemon knows. On PokeMMO however, growl/tail whip is always in the first slot. New players most likely won't know how to switch the moves and will end up accidentally using growl/tail whip because they're used to spamming A until the opponent faints. Bulbasaur and Squirtle don't learn their stat lowering moves until lv4 too, so I suppose this could also be seen as a bug report since tackle should be learned first rather than at the same time. Regardless, I suggest that the moves be switched around by default to be more user-friendly.
2. For the daycare this could be useful, but not for the Elite Four. It's supposed to be the final destination for trainers - not a simple training area that you visit several times each day, despite that being how it's used. Also, the phone wasn't part of the series until Johto. To add the phone to Kanto would require rescripting multiple NPCs to say different things and to actually call you, which is more difficult than it sounds. This feature would annoy people too - I'm sure most people don't want to be bothered by some kid bragging about his Rattata when they're trying to do something else. Overall, I wouldn't say that this is a "bad" idea, just not that it's a "good" idea. The main merit to it would be the daycare, but there are probably much better ways to go about it. Perhaps when Johto comes around we'll get the phone, but at the same time we'll most likely get another daycare too. We might not even get the phone at all though as it's a bit of a useless feature (aside from Elm calling you to say that a Pokemon was stolen), especially in an MMO.
3. I beg to differ. Selfdestruct not only an incredibly powerful move, but Snorlax also gets STAB on it. It's considered viable enough to warrant a place on a Smogon moveset alongside counter. It's also a surprising move if your opponent isn't ready for it.
4. Yup~ If you use that with Paint Tool SAI and increase the stabilizer (part of the program), you can make smooth, crisp lines.

Team Parasectors.

Good luck~ I look forward to seeing your team grow.
6. Paint Tool SAI~ You'll need a graphics tablet to really make use of it though.
7. The generally accepted definition of a signature on the internet is a combination of text and graphics that is attached to the end of a user's post. Downloading a font and typing a name on an image little over 50 pixels in width isn't a signature (and it's not exactly "creative" either). Basically, the title is misleading. "REAL" also implies quality - something that takes more than a minute and a fancy font. Moving on, these "signatures" are rather pointless. In order to actually use it on anything, it would have to be painstakingly cut out, and because they're absolutely tiny it would have to be almost pixel by pixel. It would be far, far easier for someone planning on using something like this to simply download the font and type it themselves. Let's take the "signature" on this artwork as an example. The words are applied directly onto the image - no white box around them and no need for cutting it out. Most of all though, it's 60p and even then it's relatively small. A 43x22 image done in a font between 14p and 18p is just far too small to be of use for anything. Even if you were doing them in 60p, it's still small on my artwork above which was done at 2000x1700 (reduced for this post). That's not as big as it sounds. A signature is always the last thing added to a piece anyway. Before you start doing the same thing but bigger though, it really doesn't take much - if any - creativity to download a font from a site like Dafont then write a person's name. If you did these by hand with a graphics tablet it would be different, but you're using a font, which requires zero effort. You say that you will be "very creative" but have yet to prove it. The signature below would be much better received as it's something that was written and drawn from scratch. Although it's lacking in quality as I spent all of about two minutes on it, it does at least show effort and is the sort of thing that would be at least somewhat appreciated. People troll almost every thread in some way, but these signature threads you've been making are drawing them in like bees to honey. I know I've been rather blunt about it all, but I'm not trying to be offensive. This is my advice; if you want people to take your creations seriously, they have to show effort. Not counting the time it takes to download the fonts, the "signatures" on this thread would have taken less than a minute each to make. The same thing goes for your previous thread; slapping official Sugimori artwork onto a black or white background with a name shows no effort either. These things attract attention, but none of it is positive. If you step up your game and truly create something, people will appreciate it and perhaps even admire it. If you take these words to heart, you'll find yourself improving instead of being a target of trolls.
8. IGN: RacheLucario Preferred prize: Devil Wings -------------------------------------------- Pokemon: Reshiram Time taken: 26 hours Programs used: Paint Tool Sai (all drawing and coloring) + Photoshop (minor edits and adjustments) Layers: 181 Original size: 2000x1700 Rather than choosing a Pokemon that's already somewhat dark I decided to go with a Pokemon that's the exact opposite and draw everyone's favorite mutant chicken dragon, the vast white Pokemon Reshiram. The face, claws and color scheme are the main differences between it and its original design. There are a few other minor changes here and there though, and overall I went with a theme of corruption as can be seen from the color of the flames as well as the creature itself. I honestly had a lot of fun with this piece, and it's the longest I've ever spent on a single image.
9. Even if it's not up to standard, I'm still enjoying working on it and will certainly try to get it in on time. My chosen Pokemon's proving fun to mutate.
I certainly appreciate the comments though~ Thank you.
Edit: Because of my time zone I actually have until 2pm on the 1st. Yay for extra time~ I'll definitely have it in.
10. Between your submission and Jindu's, I don't think I have a chance even if I finish on time~ you're both amazing artists.
11. Most non-competitive players might be turned off the game upon finding out that their starter is terrible and having no way to get a better one aside from starting over. It would just be discouraging to people who would otherwise remain ignorant and/or not normally care to check them. This suggestion has been turned down many times already anyway. The program is readily available for those who do care and it works well. In-game calculators aren't exactly canon either.
12. For some reason, certain Pokemon such as Jolteon, Dragonite and Jumpluff are unreadable. That aside, this is by far the most useful tool I've had the pleasure of using.
13. Thank you~! I thought yours was really good though, and it deserved to win. The lines are clean, the anatomy good, and the design fitting. Good luck in the contest - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
14. Thank you. I'm glad to hear that people liked it~ Looking at it again I can see quite a lot of flaws, some of which are pretty glaring. I think the main issue might have been that the design was pretty out there in terms of Pokemon though. The 3 winning entries were quite excellent however, and I can see why they were chosen.
15. These are quite good. I'm a bit of an artist myself, and I can definitely see potential. If you had a graphics tablet, some better software, and some time to practice with it, you could be quite an accomplished artist. Keep up the good work.
16. Congratulations to the winners~! The designs and artwork are amazing.
17. You can't assume people are dumb either. People who compete almost certainly know about EVs and IVs. People who don't compete for the most part simply don't care. It's not like you need perfect Pokemon for a regular playthrough.
18. Whether intentional or not, it is certainly punishing them. The restrictions that were on starters, Eevees and Hitmons were to prevent farming them easily, NOT to prevent bad deals. Starters still can't be traded until lv25 now since it's much easier to get them through alts that will never be touched again than to slot grind for them.
19. MMOs promote interactions with other players, which your suggestion is discouraging. Major grinding comes later when people build their competitive teams. What about the people who play for fun and not competitively? Why punish them by not letting them trade their lv3 Pikachus if they want to trade their lv3 Pikachus? While it is easy for you to level up Pokemon for the so-called "noobs", it's not easy for them to train every Pokemon to lv10 just to trade it. They don't have the Tangela patch. They don't have the E4. They don't have lv20+ wild Pokemon. This suggestion is absolutely unreasonable to them. Punishing them (and everyone else) for your paranoia is pointless and ridiculous.
20. They're a part of the original games, even if they're annoying. There's no way they'll be taken out. However, once you find the first switch, the second one is always right next to it meaning that you have a 1/2-1/4 chance of picking correctly depending on where you found the first switch. Good luck if you haven't beaten the gym yet.
21. Lv10 isn't nothing when you just begin. The first rival battle is against a lv9 starter, and newbies don't have any grass they can train in that yields instant level ups. That aside, often in Viridian Forest there are people who spend ages looking for Pikachu, give up, and ask. Then other people give them the lv3-5 Pikachu they want so badly. Nobody would bother if they had to train the damn thing first against the lv5s they can encounter at that point. That's just one example of how unnecessarily cruel this would be to newbies. While it is true that you can't trade early in some of the handhelds, that's gym based and not level based. Besides, this is 3rd gen and also an MMO. New players should be encouraged to trade, and if they can't trade anything without having to train it first, it would go completely against the nature of an MMO. This level restriction would be a bother for everyone else too - fossils are lv5, as is Togepi. Abras are usually lv8. You're only creating unnecessary effort for everyone. The only way I could possibly not despise this suggestion is if Pokemon had to be a minimum level of two, and even then that's just unnecessary effort if you're only giving the baby Pokemon to someone else for egg moves, Pokedex data, or if it's simply a gift to a regular player (Bagon etc). Overall the suggestion is pointless and unnecessary. As I previously stated, if you care so much about IVs being narrowed, either ask the person to level it up a bit, take the risk and trade, or simply don't trade.
22. Competitors aside, this is really unfair to new players. Discovering the game for the first time and being unable to trade anything would just be plain offputting. If competitive players care about IVs, they'll ask the seller to narrow them or take the risk and narrow them themselves.
