light armor is just a good fucking idea sometimes. if you are somewhere hot you dont want your troops literally dying of the heat in layers of steel plate with more clothes underneath to absorb the blows. further more depending on the situation, the extra mobility provided by light armor can be worth the trade off of it being less effective at stopping certain types of attacks.

this show follows the tropes of anime to the letter to the point where there are more scenes in the show "because it's a anime with cute girls and we have to do this" then actual plot. if you have never seen this sort of thing maybe it'll entertain? but if you watch anime you have seen 50 shows just like this.

xatu you are your purposely misunderstanding or just being thick here? banning lax or not banning lax makes no difference to tyrone. what matters to him is following policy and doing it right, but the outcome he does not care.

strong cb phsyical stabs and fighting moves are nice. i also like encore/twave/softboil/seimic toss clefable. your blanket statement seems to be contradictory to life. a few guys making choices for the many is everywhere. politics, business, religion, ect... and in this case their is no other feasible way.

ok so if you look at the tier list it is a bit confusing but their are 3 councils. nu/uu/ou council and each one has 3 members. with the new guys we are still 1 short but i know 2 of the council who were ou and im not sure which tiers coolio and riga are going to, but at most one of them gets a vote. does that vote matter? maybe maybe not. part of the "do not disclose" is telling people who voted what. it could have matter, it could have not matter, it could be both of them went uu/nu and neither got a vote. what i do know is if tyrone does not alone get to decide who gets in the council. he needs approval from other members of staff. staff who do not give two shits about the teirs but who do care about the image of pokemmo staff. they would not be ok with adding people because of their view on a specific vote to control the outcome. they would not be ok with adding people unless they honestly believe they are fit for the job. waaaaaaaaay long ago senile and i (few other people i forget who was in the ts room) made a list of about 50 people who commented on the various teir threads and then one by one knocked people off that list for various reasons. "so and so doesnt get along with people and yells and screams", "so and so made these bad arguments", ect..... and that how we got the original council, after half those guys were rejected by staff. i quit ages ago but they probably still follow the idea of looking at who comments then cherry picking the best and asking them. a lot of people get a no form upper staff and a lot of people say im too busy. you see their credentials publically in their post and arguments. you just do not understand them.

it is being tested. some of the calcs at 100% hp look scary with specs + eruption, however their is a fair number of faster pokemon + specs and if typhlosion takes damage then the power of specs locked eruption goes down quiet a bit. their are some counters where he needs a specific hp too. they are testing because he might not be ban worthy, not because they are sure he isnt. it's a test and he'll be moved soon if it is apparent quickly that he is broken. also the openings have been there for a while, it's probably coincidence.

the two new people discussed it in the 30+ page public thread. idk if they participated. ok you first point is "they hired 2 people who were "biased" for banning lax" implies you think the lax ban is more important then all the other bans the new guys will be involved in and is soooooo important that they would be hired because they support the lax ban. this is ridiculous. you think this because the ban is important to you. second public elections have to be approved by squirtle. this will not happen. this has been talked about in length before and squirtle flat out said no. their are other factors involved but re suggesting something that has been shot down by the guy running the show here is dumb. he has never changed his mind that i know of in the 3? 4? years i have been around. third, in game polls require staff actually coding this new mechanic which takes away from making new content. this also can be abused by alt accounts and the vast majority of those involved have no idea about any of this. do you know how many people vote for politicians because "i think hes hot" or "im the same race" or "i think we need a women in office"? fourth understanding how to abuse a broken system does not mean you inclined to fix it or are capable of identifying the root problem or figuring out when the solution is more harmful then the problem. and that's not even touching on the fact that staff dont want just anyone in the council and they ave the biggest say in the matter. you can argue this point but what you have to say does not matter because you cant argue with upper staff. after reading your post twice now i think how you think is "i disagree with a decision made------>i can not possibly be wrong--------->therefore the system is broken."

tiering policy and a bit of personal opinion. a thing (pokemon, item, ect) will be proposed to be talked about as possibly following a the definitions of one of the uber categories with reasoning given. all of the member's of the council will talk about this and argue back and forth for weeks and then they will vote. xatu's a bit thick and didnt think it through and doesnt understand enough to make a good suggestion.

i pushed for this a long time ago and upper staff said no. they want someone who will do the job and do the job well, but also will respect staff, not share secrets like "hey this is being implemented soon(tm) lets talk about how it effects the meta game", and other various traits. the job is also being a small part of representing pokemmo and agreeing to all those "do not disclose" and other agreements. community voted tier council will happen about the same time we get community voted staff members for the same reasons. however last i heard their were openings, apply by pm'ing tyrone and make some good arguments, and maybe link to some of your best.try to keep back on the troll post, dont make personal attacks or bad logic, and use good arguments not on this list https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/, format your arguments in a manner that make apparent the point and the reasoning with proof and is simple to understand. the empty spots exist because this is a hard job with little to no thanks and lots of time and energy behind the scenes and at the end of the day their's still more to do and people hate you.
