If you're in game now would you mind letting me spectate a match cause I'm still unclear on how you're utilizing your strategy.

I'm not talking about easy mode bro. In hard mode he comes out with his buddies there's no way you're ignoring them in hard mode and concentrating your attack plan on pumpking lol

Explain how he would compensate for the attack loss in the 3rd stage? What I mean is how can you adjust to the loss of the partner he'll replace and beyond his ability preventing the initial loss he can't do anything if pumpthief comes onto the field before him. For 3rd stage you really can't afford to be doing much switching and wasting turns trying to predict a pumpthief entrance.

I understand devs wanted to make pumpking a bit more difficult and refreshing from year to year but pumpthief is not it. His sole purpose is to be a troll and it's an instant loss mechanic especially in the 3rd stage hard mode where a stat loss can easily determine victory. This instant loss mechanic has really soured my taste on this Halloween event as I'm sure many other players feel the same way according to the rhetoric on global. Guard spec whose whole purpose is to protect a against a stat drop doesn't even work and there's no effective way to circumvent the stat drop in 3rd stage hard mode because unlike the other two stages pumpkings wither ability drops your stats too. I cannot tell you how many runs that were smooth as butter in the first 2 stages only to be utterly destroyed by pump thief in the next round. I know some will argue it's RNG dependent if he comes into the battle but it's still unfair that a whole run can be destroyed depending on if RNG likes you that day or not. Please let this be the last year pumpthief makes an appearance as it's so frustrating to loss 2-3 in a row all in the 3rd stage because he comes out. It's not fun at all.

If your Pokemon aren't full health entering the 3rd phase he will phantom strike somebody and usually kill them. If they are full health he goes for a 2 turn move ghastly vision which will leave all your Pokemon with 1hp on the 2nd turn

Jesus y'all really raised the difficulty this year... I didn't have to modify bulk on any Pokemon last year and was able to wing it most runs to defeat him but THANK YOU SO MUCH... Now hopefully I can finally get some steam going 😁

I've spectated several people who defeated pumpking on hard mode relatively easy and some don't even lose the krookodile, Aerodactyl or hydreigon that they lead the battle with! I've tried over and over to emulate the strat so that I can recoup the 1M+ I've spent on items but I keep running into a problem. When I spectate the matches no matter whom I'm watching the 3rd stage pumpking always leads his opening attack with 2 turn move ghastly vision which allows the trainer to get some momentum by setting up tailwind, x attack etc etc. However, in my countless attempts he always leads with the OHKO move phantom strike and kills a Pokemon and effectively destroys the attempt because I can't follow the strats I observed. I've tried to work around it and even develop a plan to try and circumvent the knock out but no matter what I do he consistently spams phantom strike!!! What the hell am I doing to trigger this? It has to be something I'm doing to make him lock on phantom strike... In the rare case he uses another move I'm still screwed because he either greedy gulps his buddies and heals up so I can't attack or set up because I'm too busy trying to reset the field from the stat drops. PLEASE TELL ME WTF I'M DOING WRONG This God forsaken battle is driving me nuts!!!! 😵‍💫

Bro please use normal text as the cursive is hard on my eyes and a bit difficult to read. Also, you can't just exclude 2 of rotoms stab moves in thunderbolt and discharge. While I will agree those 2 moves are less common on rotom they are not rare on him and many do run those moves. Calm mind and air slash will still lose to a rotom packing bolt or discharge and the 9/10 rotom wins that match. If you play Pvp and use togekiss and the opponent has rotom its almost certain they will send him out to neutralize air slash damage and force a switch. I decided to spam airslash since I didn't need togekiss at that point... There is no reason why airslash should have a chance to completely stop a rotom for 5 turns. Edit: Also scarf kiss is definitely a thing...in fact its what I was running... Scarf kiss usually dies or has to switch out vs rotom. If you are not running a direct counter to scarf kiss or a way to stop airslash such as disable mirrorcoat or cursed body he can potentially sweep your whole team with ease and with the high flinch chance you may not get a single move in for the whole match. I've been there...it isn't fun lol

If the sucker punch pokemon dies tho it's going to be a long game of the opponent switching out shedinja to any offensive attack essentially walling you to an L. There's literally 0 this team can do to shedinja without sucker punch... And that move may be needed for another pokemon and with 8pp you only get a few chances to use it.

I have a love hate relationship with togekiss. On one hand I do enjoy serene graces added effects boost...but IMO the flinch chance needs a nerf. As you can see I decided to go for it expecting to die to Rotom W because it's a direct counter. Most times rotom will kill the togekiss on the turn he doesn't flinch... Well this rotom flinched a total of 5 times. And then flinched the cloyster upon entrance which killed its sash and any hope of victory. I think serene grace needs to be nerfed at least when it comes to back to back flinch chance. At least to where flinch chance lowers on each flinch or a max of 3 back to back flinches.

I don't mind being muted but it's just the thing is... Why can global say all manner of things about Americas and other nations politicians but a joke concerning China's warrants a 12 hour mute? I agree about the jokes thing cause one mod may be chill while another takes moderation way too seriously. It's just annoying asf is all.

Usually a mod comes in and stops the political discussion. Fine... No problem... No mutes unless the discussion continues which is fair. Bro... Somebody said something about China... I can't remember what exactly but it's not important... However I made a joke... I won't repeat it for obvious reasons but let's just say I compared a certain president to a specific bear in a kids cartoon. I GOT A 12 HOUR MUTE FOR THAT LMAO!! The amount of harsh things said about American and other politicians gets 0 mutes... I made a joke about China however and caught a 12hr mute because "Offensive political speech against Chinese officials isn't allowed" . Bro what!? it wasn't even political!!! It was clearly a joke! A 12 Hr mute for that is ridiculous especially when you receive no mutes for much worse thats said about American, British and even Canadian politicians. So my question is... Why are one countries politicians under a "no fly zone" but you can let any remark, insult and trashing of other countries politicians fly with nothing more than a warning to change the topic??? Smh

Omfg I literally just made a bug report about this. Thank you for letting me know it isn't just my game. Everyone is using it right now too so I get crashes often in pvp.
