It's time to hold our first team Hide and Seek event this upcoming Sunday! Hope you're all ready for some riddles to test your Pokémon knowledge. Please feel free to join, read this page for more info. Date: Sunday, 17th December | 16:00 UTC | 11:00 EST | 9:00 PT | 21:30 IST | Time Zone Converter Location: All 5 Regions, Channel 2 (Meet at Nimbasa City) Explanation: Myself, FlufyJ, MyNameIsTris, and JetxLore will take turns between rounds hiding in one of the five regions. Once we announce that the chosen hiding staff member is ready to be found, you can start searching for them. There will be 20 rounds and the first person to find and trade request the staff member hiding will win a prize. The chosen staff member will give 3 clues about their location after certain intervals, then finally the region they're in. This event will take place on Channel 2. Rules: All participating team members are to stay in Nimbasa City Unova Channel 2 near the train station at the beginning of every round whilst the chosen staff member hides. Failure to do so or begin hunting before the round starts will result in disqualification from that specific round. We will always be hiding in Channel 2. Event-related information will be shared via team chat. We will announce at the start of every round that one of us is ready to be found. The first player to send a trade request to the hiding staff member will win the round. Access to all regions is necessary if you would like to participate fully. There was once an ancient tale in the land of Johto, claiming that every Halloween, when the clock struck midnight; a demon was set free to roam the icy caverns north of Blackthorn City. Spine-chilling, eerie wails were said to echo across the land. For this reason alone, residents were forbidden from entering Ice Path on this day every year after dark. One Halloween night however, a lonely explorer ventured down into the bleak depths of Ice Path to seek out the truth of this tale that haunted the city. As he climbed through the narrow entrance, he could hear faint whispers calling out to him. As if entranced, he continued his search focused solely on the sound of the ghostly voice. It was growing in volume as he climbed deeper and deeper, and soon enough he found the source. It was all emanating from an oddly shaped stone lodged in the centre of the frozen room, glistening before him. The room looked untouched with hundreds of long icicle stalactites cascading from the ceiling, almost touching the large mounted stalagmites pointing up from the frosted ground. Upon inspection of the stone, he found it to be engraved with what seemed to be a frowning face. As the explorer reached down and touched the face of the stone, the engraving suddenly began to glow a bright purple and a great blue flame flew out from atop. A misshapen purple face surrounded by a ghostly teal mist, spiralled around in circles and was now hovering in front of the explorer. It was surrounded by pink orbs that moved around the outline of the mist in an almost hypnotic motion. The explorer couldn’t believe his eyes; he was awestruck by the beauty of this spirit that floated before him. And then it whispered in an icy cold breath “Fellow traveller, you have freed me from my curse to be forever bound by the walls of these depths. For this I swear my allegiance to you, for now and forever”. And so the explorer eventually led the long lost spirit out of the labyrinth of caverns, back to the entrance of Blackthorn City. Overtime, the two lonely individuals became inseparable soulmates from their journeys together throughout the Pokémon regions and into the afterlife. But most importantly, the phantasmal cries that haunted the folk of Blackthorn every Halloween night were at long last, heard no more. I was only going to write a couple lines, but it ended up as a short story instead Also I know this looks similar to the post above, but I genuinely wrote this a week ago and decided to wait until Halloween to fit with the story to post it. Hey Legends! Since many of us will be single encounter hunting Entei upon release day this Sunday, I’ve decided to host a catching event to get us hunting for it all together. Apologies for such short notice. Please feel free to join, read this page for more info. Date : Sunday 1st of October 2023 Time : 2:00 PM UTC | 10:00 AM EST | 7:30 PM IST Location : Route 45, Johto, Channel 4 (All other channels are full) Duration : 1.5 hours for catching another 10 minutes for players to submit entries Scoring : Total Sum of IVs + Nature Bonus = Total Score Pokémon accepted as valid entries: Skarmory +5 (Rare) Teddiursa +2 (Uncommon) Phanpy +2 (Uncommon) Gligar +1 (Common) Geodude -2 (Uncommon) NOTE: We cannot apply point bonuses for any Entei captured within the timeframe of the event, as some may find the legendary before the event begins, and therefore not be able to find one during the event - which would result in an unfair point system. ✨ TheoPembo's Shiny Showcase ✨ I started collecting shinies a couple months after I first started playing PokeMMO back in August 2022. Here's my full OT and Alt OT showcase so far with tracked encounter counts 😊 Current OT Collection: Alt OT Collection: My Shiny Diary: 1. Shiny Rapidash (Untracked Unova Storyline encounter) [Onikage] 02/10/2022 I found her whilst EV training speed onto my story run team. 2. Shiny Ponyta (Untracked Sinnoh encounter) [SapphireMyst] 25/10/2022 A completely random encounter around Solaceon Town whilst I was grinding my first halloween event. 3. Shiny Pelipper (8,840) [Mr. Beako] 17/11/2022 This was the first time I started counting with an encounter counter and carried on leveling up my utility/gym run team. 4. Shiny Wooper (24,430) [Woopadoopadoo] 20/01/2023 Here was my first real shunt. The first goal had to be my favourite Pokemon and thankfully it's one of the easiest horde spots in the game. 5. Shiny Magikarp (163,870) [Elden Beast] 04/04/2023 And here is when it started to dawn on me that this shiny hunting game is not for the faint-hearted... I started shunting for Deino until I got to around 120k encounters, wasn't feeling it so I moved over to Magikarp and it still took a damn while. 6. Shiny Vanillish (18,255) [Bing Chilling] 18/04/2023 I had just come off the dry streak of my nightmares! Now it was winter season, so I thought you know what I deserve some ice cream. 7. Shiny Krokorok (15,870) [Pirate Chung] 25/04/2023 I'd had my ice cream, now it was time for my next journey - to the desert, 8. Shiny Litwick (62,300) [Let Her Cook] 23/05/2023 My plan soon was to start egg shunting for my favourite shiny, so I needed to hire a cook. 9. Shiny Deino (20,790) [Beeg Yoshi] 30/05/2023 It was time to end this cursed cave shunt once and for all. After 20k encounters, my good friend Jetxlore came into the cave for 5 minutes to support me and actually got himself a shiny Deino. But what I wasn't expecting, was to get the shiny an hour later too, without even phasing after all this time. 10. Shiny Spiritomb (11,440) [Soulsborne] 05/08/2023 And so it was time. Along my shunting journey I had sniped and gym ran every day to get enough money to start egging my way to my favourite shiny. I had experience horde shunting, but egging was a completely different ball park, so I started off pretty slow only managing batches of 360 every few days. Eventually though I had gotten fast enough and had enough time to make 400 eggs per day. I had no expectations of finding it so quickly but here we are... my ultimate goal achieved. 🙂 11. Shiny Kadabra (70) [Spoonlord] 06/08/2023 Next day I got this shiny in a mere 70 encounters which was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! 12. Shiny Onix x3 (22,890) [Elden Wyrm] 24/08/2023 /// 13. (5,520) [Baby Wyrm] 26/08/2023 /// 14 (bred). (3,240) [Onix No.3) My first job after completing Johto was to complete the Pokedex and quickly get Suicune, then start my shunt in Mt. Silver for Larvitar. After a rough 3.8k single encounter hunt to obtain the legendary dog I made my way up the mountain and joined the collective of tunnel dwellers to find my 1st Johto shiny. The horde spot is a 50/50 and I found Onix first at 22k, however it came out 2x31 which was a first for me so I was extremely happy with it! Then the next evening, I find a second shiny Onix - my 1st ever shiny duplicate. Now we move onto Phase 3 for larvitar. Then no joke, the next day I get another shiny Onix - I feel like at this point I'm living in groundhog day. I decided to breed onix No.2 + No.3 together. 14. Shiny Larvitar (63,850) [Maliketh] 19/09/2023 I had been trekking up and down the tallest mountain in all of PokeMMO for 4 weeks now, since the launch of Johto. Now I could finally descend the mountain for the final time. The long awaited shiny Larvitar finally showed itself after 4 phases and 94k encounters overall in the cave, at 63k dry. (See 1st comment from here to see all further screenshots) 15. Shiny Koffing (11,520) [Waltuh] 24/09/2023 Next on the agenda, since I want to shunt for Venipede and know that Weezing is used as a Halloween boss strat last year (plus potentially one day begin the marathon shunt that is Zorua), I decided to go for the shiny cough ball that now has a 100% encounter spot in Johto in the Burned Tower. And it didn't take long to appear either which was nice. Whilst shunting this I've also been going for shiny Murkrow to finish my shiny halloween boss team, however it only shows up in lost cave at night along with Golbat and Misdreavus so this final addition to the team might take quite a while to show up. 16. Shiny Murkrow (23,205) [Eileen] 02/10/2023 After Weezing I decided to split my time shunting Delibird during daytime and Murkrow during night time. Shunting at night time in-game was proving to become quite the difficulty, as those hours were usually when I was offline throughout the day. However, one evening I decided to power through till way into the early hours of the morning, and it paid off massively. Not only did I manage to find shiny Murkrow without phasing a single time in only around 3k encounters (23k dry on Delibird/Jynx/Golbat/Misdreavus/Murkrow) and certainly not a whole lot of time in Lost Cave, but it was also 2x31!!! I couldn't believe it, after a rough time phasing a ton on Larvitar, the game had blessed me massively this time. 17. Shiny Miltank (355) [Blue Mooo-n] 05/10/2023 This one took me by surprise. The holy blue milk appeared only 355 encounters after Murkrow in a duo encounter whilst searching for Entei on rt47! What's even more baffling is I somehow randomly managed to catch the shiny on the exact minute and second of midnight in the european timezone. Therefore, I've decided to call her Blue Mooo-n. 18. Shiny Shelmet (15,312) [Sekiro] 14/10/2023 Whilst shunting Venipede at night for a swarm ability shiny, I decided to turn my attention over to Shelmet in Icirrus City, as the water isn't frozen over during October. This will allow me to evolve it into Accelgor to obtain a sticky hold shiny for fishing. Luckily it didn't take long for the lil golden fella to pop up, and now I have a fishing buddy! 19. Shiny Delibird (17,053) [Mr Frosty] 21/10/2023 As we venture closer to Xmas, I decided next to take the plunge into the depths of the freezing cold ice path to find one my coveted Johto shinies I've been looking forward to since region release - Delibird. It shares a horde with Jynx at a 50/50 encounter ratio (as far as I know post horde re-balance update), but very fortunately I find it in my first phase, and it also has jolly nature which is sort of ironic for an Xmas themed shiny haha. Alt Account: Shiny Riolu (Swarm Encounter) [Invincible] 20/12/2023 This is truly peak luck, from out of nowhere. I worked till extremely late at night and only really had the energy to hop online and finish hatching my first batch of mixed eggs that I had only just started shunting for before going to bed. Whilst I was at the Unova daycare, I opened my map and saw a riolu swarm at Mistralton cave. I was catching dittos on my alt on my phone at the time so I decided to check the cave on both accounts. I checked the Riolus on my main pc - no shinies. What I wasn't mentally prepared for was the unreal situation I found myself in when I tapped the 1st Riolu on my phone alt account... I couldn't ask for a better Christmas present! Alt Account: Shiny Pidgey (Random Single Encounter) [Celebirb] 31/12/2023 My alt account seems to have all the luck at the moment! I was collecting lost presents on my main and alt for the Xmas event and forgot to pop a repel whilst in the grass. I had the shiny sat there on my phone for a while because I almost pressed run without looking - I actually mis tapped thankfully! I love that the catch location is Route 1 for my shiny Pidgey, quite fitting really. 20. Shiny Staryu (51,854) [Easter Light] 31/03/2024 A dry streak on singles had taken the wind out of my shunting sails. I had gone the entirety of my teams shiny wars during the Xmas event shiny rate boost on countless charms without anything to show for aswell. However I wasn't ready to give up, and come March I had decided it was time to try joining Team Mr. To my amazement I was accepted, and low and behold on my 2nd day of joining, I found my shiny star on Easter day - during daytime hours and off charm! Hi, have loved using this tool for the past couple weeks. Last night though when I shut my game down via logging out I got an error message for the 1st time regarding my save file. When I re-load the game the counter hasn't saved my latest encounters from my last session. I close the game and it comes up with the same error message. Same error comes up when I try to dump my data too.
