Here to post my story in the chance I get falsely banned. Yesterday(22-4-2024) All of this does matter: I had a discussion with Player 1 (can't use names) about the team layout and other issues that were causing a downward spiral. After reaching an understanding, Player 1 and I went our separate ways for the morning. Around 2 pm, an event was planned for our team, so a decent handful of people were online. At that time, Player 1 sent a message to the team's Discord, stating that he was leaving for the sake of the team. Consequently, everyone in the team was confused. After explaining what had happened, I was bombarded by Player 2, who insisted that we should have discussed everything in public and considered it a direct attack. The argument went on for a solid hour of back and forth. Following this, a few other unhappy people left the team. I took the day off, exchanged a few texts with Player 1 to check if he was okay, logged in once to check my GTL listings, did about 60 encounters worth of hordeing, and then went offline for the night. Today(23-4-2024 Where it gets interesting: Upon waking up today, I received an in-game mail. The username was weird, the text was weird, and... 30m? Upon receiving this, I immediately contacted support and sent some information to the DMs of some SGMS. Despite spending all this time in Vermillion talking to noobs and seeing bots, only now did I receive what appears to be a botted message? Knowing the kind of person Player 1 is, I am quite concerned that he could try to pay someone off to have me banned, since he pretty much "felt like he had to leave the team." In a previous conversation with another team, Player 1 did not like what they were proposing and bought every website URL he could think of that they might want to use as a team website in the future, just so they can't use it. So, even if this is all a coincidence, the idea of using RMT as a way to get someone you don't like banned is a real thing that has happened before.
