  1. Indeed. But we already have things that punish's you for letting it switch, especially on bliss (ursa, machamp, probably others, and for those 2, a wall is not really a solid answer), and those bliss vs bliss or ludi vs ludi still happen.
  2. the same thing can be pointed in every post who use calcs on something who lacks a reliable move of healing...
  3. it doesn't matter if they fall -_- in an offensive team, it doestn matter if you lost your five first pokemons, you just have to manage to weak walls enough for your last. Gyara can take weezing t bolt for example, which can be great if you want to crush it on weezing with 2 +1 waterfall, weakened it enough for an heracross sweep for instance. Only a few thing can ohko metagross, the boost is not that rare, and he can severely open holes on an ennemy team before dying, and it can explode on a key wall to open the way for something. And for Ursa, I guess the guy who is afraid about mispredict is the guy who face it, not really the user. Even if it is revenge by dug, he might did his job before : destroy or at least weakened enough a wall.
  4. well, I'm not convinced that it is proven that stall is more effective. It is probably proven that we, pokemmo players, are better with this style, probably cause we are more familiar with this way to play before the split update . It may also be a superior way to play in a ladder climbing for example, but in a single elimination tournament, I doubt. And I won't qualify things like agiligross or gyarados as "frail sweepers"...
  5. I saw bliss versus bliss, bro versus bro and even curselax versus curselax before lax's ban, as codylmarey said, it's not necessary cause of your play style. And I still don't see how lax will change anything to it.
  6. I disagree. Maybe duels are more stall based, but first, you are not enforced to play like that to succeed in a tournament, and secondly, I'm not sure that lax has anything to do with this stall based tendancy. Bliss was and is used, with or without lax. And with our without lax, when you use bliss, you have to expect to face things that can rekt your "stall based meta", like ursaring, breloom, or others things that can signifantly hurt your walls and open a way for a DDancer or smthing. On the SpeA side, you can still use this pesky dugtrio to destroy bliss, severely damages ludi, or even use things like explosion exeggcutor, and proceed to sweep with starmie, rain dance ludi/kingdra, CM zam etc...so you CAN chose to play offensively, stall is still a popular play style, but not the only way to win, and I believe you don't need lax for that. On the stall side, well, bliss is not the only way to handle those scary CMinders. for bro you can trick it, random toxic it, encore it, spore/sub seed it with breloom, RK it with megamiss CB heracross, for espeon/zam, spDef invested arcanine can do the job quite well, or you can revenge it with dug or CB aero, or even set up a DD kingdra in RK (if zam or espeon don't have more than a CM), and there are probably others ways to deal with it but I don't have them in mind atm. Or you can also dont' be a set up bait for them, for example by playing less stall based teams. And at least, I don't really see how using lax will change the meta at a point where "the smarter players wins not the more patient". When lax is here, you still have to be patient enough until things that can handle your very smart curselax are out...
  7. I think that Crawdaunt deserves a better rank. With a DD and his two destructive stabs, I don't see a lot of pokemons able to handle it, especially in late game . It has also access to spowa to deal with things like umbreon or miltank, can run taunt to prevent things like blastoise to haze it. Breloom, (especially defensive version), and bulky poliwrath could handle his 2 stabs, but Crawdaunt can run AA to severely damage them. Hypper cutter is also a nice ability that prevents spam intimidation and things like charm umbreon to slow its sweep. That said, it is quite difficult to set up, and weak to mach punch, but so does Zangoose I guess... (it may also run SD in order to wall break, or maybe a CB set could be effective, even if i think DD is a better choice)
  8. well, it seems that a suspect test does not sound good for some people, and testing in showdown doesn't seem to be a good idea too. What about using the ranked system we had for suspect tests ? With some arrangements, it could be a great way to see faster than in tournaments the impact of a snorlax's ban.
