Lots of players, including myself, have been longing for a way to play the game holding our phones vertically. Many of these people are coming to Pokemmo from smartphone emulators, where the gameplay would be on the top half of the screen with the controls covering the bottom half. As a result, it feels awkward and uncomfortable to play the game in the horizontal fashion for many of us. If a vertical mode was to be implemented into the smartphone version of the game, it would make it much more accessible to people are used to playing ROMs on their phones. Not only that, but it would also give the game a bit of an increased nostalgic feel as well, as many people playing this game recall playing FireRed and Emerald in a similarly vertical fashion on the GBA SP. At least that’s the case with me, which is why I among MANY others prefer to play pokémon games in that format. Please consider this, as I’ve seen quite a number of people talking about this, both inside the game and out. We would be very grateful to see this happen, and Im confident the UI could be managed in a way that would help accommodate a vertical mode should it be added to the game.
