OT #3 24k encounters, 113hrs since last shiny 🙂 Was hunting Poliwag, took a break to look for Raikou, got a long-time target and another beautiful blue shiny! Couldn't be happier!

I agree with Doctor, if it does anything then I hope that it's something that can be gotten once every year during Xmas. One-time rewards are great for cosmetics and lower shiny odds like Mysterious Pokéballs, but if the Wishing Stone does summon Jirachi, it would be extremely unfair to new players or players who missed the event to have a one-time Pokémon, especially one that could be so competatively relevant. If it does summon Jirachi, I hope it can be obtained like Shaymin during LNY, and that older players with the Wishing Stone can automatically select their IVs and nature when they catch their (two) Jirachis, while newer players can grind like normal. Two legendaries with selectable IVs for all the time spent waiting...

Um thank you for all the responses everyone but this is really not what I asked or relevant to what I was saying! I just wanted to hear about people getting their shinies and how long it took them :') The rate is fair and I don't think the RNG is "broken", it is definitely working as intended! I'm not looking for chain hunting either, I just think these things feel the best when everyone can share what they've worked for haha 🙂

Hi everyone! I'm a relatively new player (about 1 month IRL, 400 in-game hours) and my favorite thing to do is shiny hunt. However, right now I'm looking for some encouragement. I'm currently 46k dry, no shiny whatsoever since my last one at ~6500 encounters total, 25 dedicated. I got super lucky, and now I feel totally down on my first real, dedicated hunt. I will absolutely keep trying and this isn't a complaint, but I definitely am starting to feel hopeless. Can anyone share their longest or most demoralizing hunts? Hearing others make it through 45k+ encounters and come out with their shiny would really help right now! 🙂 Thank you and good luck everyone ❤️
