  1. Please stop double / triple posting, instead edit your most recent message and amend what you want to say to that message. Also, RP Items are a fixed value, the amount of yen representing that fixed value will change if the value of yen itself changes. If deflation occurs you will get less yen per RP, if inflation occurs you will get more yen per RP. this will not impact people who try to sell items from the Gift Shop for Yen, the only thing that might affect it is the RP vouchers but that's a different topic.
  2. To my knowledge, the only intended change that this burn mechanic bug fix should affect is the interaction between Foul Play and the Burn Status, as previously Foul Play would effecitvely do half damage vs. Burned Targets (when it should do full). This should be parallel with the base games, and should not cause unintended "custom" interaction
  3. To my knowledge, Starf berry has indeed been nerfed (it should be 600$), it was likely just forgotten about in the list. There's a lot a lot of berries.
  4. This is how it works in the base game, the ONLY time this is different between the two cases is for Foul Play, Foul Play against a burned target should do full damage, but if Burns halves the Attack Stat it also halves Foul Play's damage, this specific change is basically just that being bug fixed and will have not have any other real impact to my knowledge on battles.
  5. Can confirm as I have just checked, PTS should be accessible to Android Users somehow.
  6. Any announcements as to when Sinnoh will be released will be posted in the Announcement section of the forums when the time is right, which can be found here: https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/forum/4-announcements/ If you wish to discuss the Sinnoh region itself please do so within this thread: I am closing this thread in order to ensure we do not end up with multiple threads about the same topic.

  8. You are able to sort by cheapest or sort by most expensive for your search criteria, if you are searching for a specific thing (e.g. Magikarp) you can avoid exaggerated prices by sorting by price, it will work with other advanced search results. If the only result is a 800 million item then that just means that the specific thing you are looking for has none being sold for a reasonable price at the current time, which is natural for markets.
  9. Additionally, Counter will always fail vs. Ghost Types and Mirror Coat will always fail vs. Dark Types.
  10. Breeding anything with the desired moves will make them capable of being inherited, so if you breed a Cacnea with Spikes with a Ferroseed and the baby pokemon is a Ferroseed (The Mother (female) pokemon determines what species the baby is) then that Ferroseed will learn Spikes. "Egg Move" moves (things that can ONLY be learned via breeding) will take highest priority for the 4 move slots the baby has (making them chosen first over things like TMs / Move Tutor moves.). If you have more than 4 Egg Moves between both parents and you want a specific 4 and it isn't selecting those 4 you can use the Move Deleter to remove the undesirable moves. As people mentioned, Cacnea learns Leech Seed at Lvl 10 and Spikes at Lvl 30, breeding a Male Cacnea with a Female Ferroseed will get it onto the desirable species, then just make sure you are using THAT specific ferroseed for future breeding so the egg moves are kept and you should be all set! c: Step by step: Obtain Male Cacnea Teach it Leech Seed & Spikes Breed it with a Ferrothorn / Ferroseed Obtain Ferroseed with both egg moves! Happy Breeding, Lord of Avernus. Mists guide you c:
  11. This Topic died because I became staff and was no longer able to be impartial about what was discussed, speculation about these types of things are irresponsible when you have some form of perceived authority as people are unlikely to question it. I left the thread open because I thought some people would be curious to look back at it, however as I am not going to be updating this thread and because it is very old and will likely be out-of-date on several things I will be closing my own thread now, there's nothing stopping someone from attempting to make their own thread of this type but again it's irresponsible of me to do it anymore.
  12. This isn't accurate, to some people a Shiny Pokemon is purely something to look nice. some people don't care about OT / comp shinies etc. To those people, once they obtain a shiny from this easier method they will never search for that shiny. They won't use leppas to find it, they won't spend time playing to find it, and they won't trade on the GTL to work their way up to a rare shiny or trade with others for it because they already have it. This is like saying if you gave someone an infinite use rare candy but made it untradeable that it wouldn't hurt the prices of Rare Candies on the GTL. It's an over-exaggeration but it shows in a more apparent way why this would be hurtful to the game.
  13. Yes, Shiny Pokemon are 1/30,000 chances instead of the vanilla 1/8192 chances. Wild pokemon and pokemon hatched from eggs can be shiny. Breeding two shiny pokemon together will guarantee that the offspring is a shiny (species is determined by the Female / Non-Ditto Pokemon.)
  14. It's not in the game yet, when more news regarding dungeons is available it will most likely be found in our Announcement section of the forums.
  15. From my perspective the ways to generate Pokeyen are already entirely equal in terms of opportunity, can you elaborate what you believe is not equal in terms of opportunity? 1) It will never be a "A Money Sink" it will have to be multiple of them sprinkled through the game that end up collectively eating away at yen in circulation, preferably in a natural way. Ideally money sinks will be things that are so "worth it" that you never feel it's unfair that you are being charged X amount to get Y, e.g. "Better" TMs tend to cost more than "Bad" TMs even though both are money sinks and they could have both been the same price in the stores. 2) I do not think we should create anything substantial for absolutely brand new players to use to kick-start their grinding as either it will be available to just new players (Which is unfair to older players) or it is available to everyone (at which point it was a meaningless change since it was meant to help new players, not old players, and if it helps both then it's just causing inflation faster). 3) Harvesting tools themselves are a money sink, so no they should not be removed. The berries themselves are already greatly useful, they are used in competitive play and thus incentivise the fee even if you couldn't use the berries to generate millions by selling to vendors. 4) I strongly believe we should never do things like this, it's virtually impossible to reset economies like this and it should only really be done in absolute emergencies in the form of short time-frame roll-backs. People have been earning money for years (there was a yen reset way back earlier on in the history of the game, but that was due to far more drastic problems). If we hit people's money then people with "value" in shinies, hats, comp pokemon, etc will be "Lucky" and people who happened to have all their value in the form of currency at the time will be "Unlucky". Again, last but not least, it would almost definitely cause many players to quit the game (and for good reason) people worked very hard in-game to earn that much usually and to just undo all that work removes the reason the played the game (to earn stuff). It also ruins trust, if you do it once you might do it again, or a third time, etc. 1) This is a possibility as a form of a money sink, but should probably only be done in absolute emergency tier situations, primarily because some people just preemptively buy x99 of each breeding brace etc because they know they'll need a ton of them in the future. It's a small amount of players but they exist and it shows how spiking the prices of these items won't always be effective and can even have negative impacts. But theoretically it could be useful in some situations, but I wouldn't personally advocate it in the current situation. 2) No, this just makes the issue worse. Increasing any form of yen generation will only worsen the current issue of the amount of yen in circulation increasing (i.e. inflation). 3) While theoretically this is on paper a solution it's really clunky, players don't like having to fork over astronomically high amounts numerically for mundane things, it just gets confusing. I also don't think berry farming should be a valid farming method, on the 1 account scale it is generating a lot of money for little to no time investment, which isn't good you want people to be given money based on how much time they ACTIVELY input into the activity, berries take time but little to none of that time is actively spent tending to the berries. On a multiple account "many alts farming berries scale" you are spending time actively grinding away, but I personally don't think it's good design to have features that expect players to make multiple characters to do the same story line 10+ times in order to get access to multiple characters that can farm berries, so even on a multiple-character scale I don't really think berries should be a method of yen generation either. For both of these reasons I don't think that we should be basically making the world revolve around berry farming as it doesn't suit what good forms of "grinding" should be, whether that is on an alt level OR on an individual level, thus I don't personally think this is a desirable solution.
  16. The music is exactly the same, the game is just playing music files from the ROMs. Differences in sound are to do with the music engine which plays that music, etc, they aren't being deliberately distorted etc. It is entirely possible for things like Dynamic music to be added to the game in theory, so this to my knowledge wouldn't hold back this suggestion. This isn't me saying this suggestion is happening, just mentioning that if it were to be considered it wouldn't be held back by what you've mentioned.
  17. You seem to have gotten pretty solid answers from Dibz and IMKWMKM, so I'll be closing this thread now. In future, we have a thread dedicated to asking about the value of certain things which you can find here: In the future I recommend using this thread as general discussion threads invoking trading related things are likely to be closed as they do not belong in general discussion. c:
  18. Introducing our lucky winners: In first place is youyouguai with a total score of 189! In second place is BiSangJiang with a score of 177! In third place is pokdad with a score of 176! Thank you to everyone who participated, enjoy your berry juice and new shuckle friends. You can view where your score was by looking at the following google doc if you are curious: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KgVBGpr_WqjULQxUhJPQI6V1wLda_5w_lwmJMhqTM0U/edit#gid=1332985661 I will be locking this thread in about an hour's time. I look forward to the next catching contest with everyone. c:
  19. Event has started, best of luck to everyone! *Sips Berry Juice*
  20. 15 Minutes to go, remember, we'll be at Channel 4. See you there.
  21. Looking forward to hosting this with you all in 8 hours, reminder that only pokemon caught within the Hoenn Safari zone of the designated species will be accepted as entries. Geodudes caught in other areas will not be accepted as a result. Best of luck, and make sure not to forget a Rock Smash pokemon, you'll definitely need it. I'll be making in-game global messages to remind people of the event, see you then! c:
  22. Smeargle has a 100% encounter rate area in Artisan cave, so while it is single encounters (no hordes) it can be found consistently. If you like cute pink things, you could go after a Jumpluff. At Isle 5 Meadow you can encounter x5 hordes of Hoppips using sweet scent with 100% chance, which would allow you to quickly hunt for it. c: Sadly hunting Jigglypuff would be quite difficult, there is no area with anywhere close to 100% encounter rate, and to my knowledge it doesn't appear in any hordes.
  23. Generation 5 was done before Generation 4 (Sinnoh / HGSS) because it is easier to work backwards from the technologically more advanced (graphically) maps of Unova to Sinnoh / Johto than it is to rework how the game engine works to run the maps for 3D Sinnoh/Johto but then have to drastically rework them (again) for Unova. (if I am understanding correctly). Johto is being added last of the regions as it offers little to no new content, pokemon from Johto were made available through Seveii islands + Hoenn post game areas to make up for the fact that Generation 2 could not be ported to Generation 3 games (thus the pokemon needed to be available somewhere.). For both of these reasons the regions seems to be being done in the order of Kanto --> Hoenn --> Unova --> Sinnoh --> Johto.
  24. What tends to hold new players back from getting into the comp scene is a combination of being unaware of ways to maximise efficiency when breeding, or the belief that budget comps are not acceptable and everything must be 5x31. a 4x31 with 25+ in the other stat is more than good enough in 99% of situations, I feel this is a bigger factor personally than raw income. You can cause overall deflation, but yes it does indeed sometimes have hiccups, but again as you seemed to have not read what I stated before: Increasing the money generated from other sources makes the issue worse for everyone, not better for new players. I am very aware of WoW's economics, I am aware that Garrison / Order Halls caused an influx of passive gold generation for doing nothing leading to inflation and now in BFA the repair fees and reforge prices were spiked to combat this (along with nerfing mission tables) [For non-wow players they basically made the easy money sources worse and made mandatory fees (e.g. Breeding Braces / GTL listing fees) way more expensive) and yes they are seeing players struggle to get enough income to make ends meet unless they were already filthy rich, but in the long term it is healthier for the game. If they had just given everyone more money then things would become even more problematic even faster. You cannot point to something and assert it will be a solution because you can foresee short-term benefits, the long-term implications are the most crucial for any change intending to influence the economy. You have completely ignored the hurtful impact that increased rate of inflation would have on new players when asserting we should just give them more free cash. If you truly believe that combating inflation is impossible then so be it, you are free to have that opinion after all, but I will not be discussing with you further on the topic if so.
