  1. Too strong, as they are not in line with hand-held catch rate multipliers anymore (they would have been put to what the handheld values were if they were broken as in bugged, but they were moved away which suggests they were broken as in OP)
  2. Going through the old updates this is all I could find written about currently, so me thinking Dusk Ball was nerfed may have been a fever dream of mine. Balancing General Certain balls' rates have been rebalanced: Dive Balls reduced to 3x maximum catch rate. Price updated to 1500 Repeat Balls reduced to 2.5x maximum catch rate. Price updated to 1500 Timer Balls reduced to 3x maximum catch rate. Price updated to 1400 Net Balls reduced to 3x maximum catch rate. Price updated to 1400
  3. I know that there are intentional changes to certain Pokeballs (i.e. they were too strong so got nerfed), however off the top of my head I don't know specifics of how much each were changed.
  4. You're right it's not you can achieve 100% catch rate on pokemon with easy catch rates (e.g. Magikarp, Caterpie, etc), but some pokeballs were nerfed (Including but not limited to Dusk Balls and Repeatballs iirc) because they were a bit too strong.
  5. I do not believe you can breed a Shiny Pokemon with a Non-Shiny Pokemon as Hannahtaylor said, you can only guarantee the offspring will be shiny by breeding two shiny Pokemon together. All other forms of breeding use the same chance to roll shiny of roughly 1/30,000. As the question has been answered I will be locking this thread, if you have any further questions feel free to message me on forums.
  6. Congrats, out of curiosity what is it that gives the "8324" thing, I presume it's a mod that tracks number of encounters for a pokemon?
  7. As mentioned prior, Zekrom is only kept for the storyline battle, and Rayquaza / Mewtwo start a King-of-the-Hill esque PvP minigame, none of these 3 legendary pokemon can be kept after these end. In the future Legendary Pokemon will be available through Dungeons, though which ones are available, which order they are released in, etc are not known. At current there are no other legendaries that can be encountered.
  8. Hello! from I've heard mentioned on the topic before it was considered to be not worth the large amount of development time it would require as it would require a Jailbroken device which many Iphone users don't have. Someone may swoop in and correct me on this at a later date but for now I think it is safe to assume PokeMMO will not be available on Iphones unless something drastic changes. As I have answered this question I'll be locking the thread.
  9. Contests / Raffles / Giveaways do not belong in general discussion, please post it in the relevant sub-sections. I'll be closing this thread as a result.
  10. 2nd Shiny at 2,344 hours Calm Nature (-Attack / +Sp.Def) Oh well, maybe my 3rd shiny will be interesting.
  11. Someone will be with your support request as soon as they are able, no support requests are ignored so please be patient in the mean time.
  12. The legendaries in the game currently (Rayquaza, Zekrom, and Mewtwo) are only obtainable as part of a temporary King-Of-The-Hill esque PvP minigame or for a single storymode battle (Zekrom), they are not permanently obtainable and thus in order to prevent people wasting their master balls on them they are disabled. Legendary pokemon which are permanently obtainable like in traditional games are planned to be released alongside PokeMMO Dungeons which are a planned feature in the future.
  13. https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/55128-frequently-asked-questions/page/15/ May take a while to get a response, but people do read it. c:
  14. Everything Bestfriends mentioned is accurate, however I do want to add that some items that are Event Only may return in the future (for that same event) but are not guaranteed to, additionally seasonal items are available every year during that particular season (unlike Event Only items) which are two that get confused sometimes. c: As your question has been answered I'll be locking this thread. If you have any other queries about these item types feel free to message me on the forums.
  15. What Hannahtaylor mentioned is correct, as the question has been answered I'll be locking the thread now. (if you have any other questions about charms I made this FAQ thread which will hopefully help. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me on forums if I missed something you're curious about. c:)
  16. @BoltBlades12 Please stop double posting during discussions in threads, if you have something else to say immediately after the first message just edit the first message. Also: you have made your points and are just repeating yourself without adding anything constructive to the discussion (this is not an instance where 3rd+ time's the charm), additionally it is somewhat derailing the thread. Please keep discussion in this thread relevant to Platinum primarily where possible. And as a general reminder to everyone in this thread, if you are unhappy with another player please do not insult / mock them and instead ignore them. No one wants to give out warning points if arguments end up heated and someone says something hurtful. (which people do surprisingly easily during debates where they get frustrated.).
  17. You stated to limit them to the region they were found in, sorry I apparently have misunderstood.
  18. This would result in the exact same in-practice results as the current system, effectively nothing would change.
  19. The initial question has been answered / explained so I am locking this thread before it derails (even more).
  20. Movement involves your client (your computer's stuff) moving and after moving the PokeMMO servers checks if it was actually okay for you to have moved there in the first place. If your internet connection is low quality and / or has a lot of ping then it can result in you lagging backwards (e.g. when you bike through grass then teleport back 3-4 tiles because you caused a pokemon encounter). It's a side effect of being an online game, there is little that can be done.
  21. I believe it has been stated in the past that PokeMMO will not be adding Pokemon without their respective regions being available, we would not be seeing generation 6+ unless something like that occurs, they won't be added to the game in its current state and even if their regions were eventually going to be added this would likely be very far down the line as 3DS graphics are far more detailed and difficult to get working than NDS stuff from what I understand. The possibility of Fairy typing was mentioned to be a consideration if the PvP metagame ever ended up requiring it in order to be healthy, however I don't believe it is as such a point personally and it would cause problems including there being no moves that are Fairy Type existing for the few pokemon (e.g. Togekiss / Gardevoir / Azumarril / Whimsicott etc) which received Fairy Typing. Due to the limitations PokeMMO faces it would be impractical to attempt to reinvent all of the fairy type moves for such a small number of pokemon since none of those moves existed in generation 5. Hypothetically if either of these suggestions were to ever be added to the game they would be a long long time from now, but personally I would be surprised if it happened before their respective regions were added (that is to say IF they are ever added as nothing is guaranteed).
  22. Hello Soulfulwing, I am sorry but I don't understand entirely what you're asking, could you explain it to me so I can try my best to answer?
  23. There is no permanent shiny charm obtained for completing any pokedex, there are no legendary pokemon that can be kept permenantly (Mewtwo and Rayquaza start a king of the hill minigame with other players, and Zekrom / Reshiram are only available for a single story-mode battle). Destiny Knot has no functionality in breeding, so unless you wish to tech against Attract Spam I am just gonna mention that it is useless. There are no ways to skew the IVs of wild pokemon in the same ways that you can in ORAS, players obtain high IV pokemon (5x31 etc) through PokeMMO's custom breeding system, it is different than in the original games and you can find guides on how it works in the guide section of our forums where players have made several to help people start out. In terms of money making there are things like breeding or EV training for other players (people are unlikely to trust a completely new player with this and also you don't have the tools to do it efficiently), there is spamming the ability Pickup to find items to sell, and ultimately at the end of the day the biggest ways to make cash tend to be "Flipping" items on the GTL however this is high risk high reward as there is no guarantee you will make a profit off of it. PokeMMO is significantly different than the original games in terms of breeding, economics, etc. I strongly recommend you have a look at the guides on these forums as many things have been changed.
