A wild Pokémon appears, it's sleeping, and for some inexplicable reason I can't escape. This makes no sense as IT IS SLEEPING! I'm suggesting that if a wild Pokémon is paralyzed, sleeping or frozen, the escape rate should be changed to 100%. This would prevent some frustration when a faster Pokémon than yours stops you from escaping, despite not being able to move itself.

Alternatively, instead of making vanity items free they could introduce ones that are easier to obtain (e.g. Catch 100 Pokémon, talk to one of Professor Oak's aids, receive a Poke ball hat).

Here's a fun, fast, and non-Pokémon related idea: Bike Races! Imagine a horde of bikes sweeping across the map in a bid for shiny Pokémon and RP! Think of all the chaos fun that people could have racing through Kanto! But srsly, wynaut?

Just out of interest, would triple battles be possible? (I'm not sure as the game runs on Gen 3 ROMs)

Adding items from later gens isn't going to do the game any harm, but neither is it essential. So yeah, apart from being able to hinder Trick users, I'll agree that the Sticky Barb isn't really important atm. Maybe if new moves are added in the future, but not now. Not a bad idea, just an unneeded one. :P

The Sticky Barb. For those unfamiliar with it, it's a held item introduced Gen 4 that damages the holder each turn (1/8 of Max.HP to be precise). If the holder is hit by a physical attack, it may latch on to the attacker, damaging them each turn. However, if the attacker is already holding an item, the Sticky Barb can't move. Here are some pros and cons I can think of from the top of my head: Pros: + Encourages new strategies in competitive battling + Improves the economy with yet another item to trade/sell + Can be used to counter Physical sweepers + Can be used to counter Trick/Thief/Cover users + Could be added as a Held item for Cacnea (once Hoenn is implemented) Cons: - May cause chaos if two physical attackers are attacking each other (i.e. the barb would keep moving around) - Could be problematic if all Pokémon on the opposing team already have held items Any thoughts on this? If I missed anything obvious, slap me comment below.
