One thing @Rache said was that she implemented larvitar in horde as a type of "reward" for players being able to complete the OT Pokedex. Which is already a tedious process to do. So now when you have done that you get rewarded by hunting a shiny which your odds are so slim of getting anyways it's not worth it. I've spent 250 hours to get 2 onix, a golbat and a gloom. How much do I need to spend now to get larvitar.. 1000? Shiny hunters hunt for one reason. They want the shiny for their own OT. They're not interested in buying someone else's ot. That's also a reason why the shiny market took a knock. So like hunting a shiny with 1/30k odds and then also add another 1/20 chance of appearing in a horde... is that really what we needed? It's crazy. Edit: Basically trying to fix an already failed market by entirely eliminating shiny hunting for several players. I have always trusted what devs have in store for the community. They really have shined and are doing a phenomenal job, but I have to say I really feel "Uneasy" about this one.

This won't bring the shiny market back. Instead it will flood the gtl with common shinies to an extent where we will be able to buy them for less than 500k a pop. As for the rarer ones their value will not increase. Not even close to a substantial amount unless the majority of them were purchased through the GTL and now they will be hoarded and their values will be manipulated. Basically opening another price manipulation opportunity for certain groups of players. Imho this is a big slap in the shiny hunting community's face. For players who only play this game for the purpose of hunting shinies, I can see a lot of them leaving solely because of this change. I for one won't be hunting any shinies anymore and this was the main thing I was doing. 😕 Edit: Like can you imagine the time spent hunting now and then you're odds of getting the shiny in a horde is also so slim. You're just better off now egging the shiny you want and it'll 100% be cheaper. I don't understand the point of this but anyways. GG

But as a player who has hunted let's say larvitar and got onix twice even with the 50/50 odds in 50k+ encounters with 100% charm usage while donator is active.. it's pretty upsetting to say the least. Edit: This is what @Quakkz was referring to. Imo if this was an attempt to minimize the numbers of certain shinies it's not going to work. The shiny market is already flooded and even in the long run it won't make a difference.

I don't fully understand. Can someone just explain this. As I am understanding it the "rare pokemon" horde is not 50/50 anymore but like the same encounter as you would when walking? Idk it's stated funny.

Or RMT. You see it's shit like this that opens a huge loophole. Player A can buy 950 million yen from player B. Player B will purchase a 50million yen vanity (Grass Elfbot Outfit) for 1 billion yen off the gtl. Staff won't pick it up because according to the GTL 1 bil is a legit value for Grass elfbot outfit. I have a feeling that's what some players are doing right now. Stupid is as stupid does. Ban Hammer is already HOT HOT @Rache Check if that grass elfbot outfit sold for 1 billion. Thanks for the update. Didn't really need it. My knowledge regarding vanities is VERY Broad. Keep in mind I was around when the first ones were released so I have seen how the market has evolved. Regarding the color system, it is obviously flawed. I saw a Grass Elfbot Outfit on the GTL for 1 billion yen in the "White Category". So here is what I am saying, there is a handful of players that corroborate in sequence. This being said, if this group of individuals keep listing the same item for a price far higher than it's original value, the GTL will regard this as a norm price over time even though it's actual worth is significantly far less. "Player lists Vanity for 1 bil, a buddy buys it and exchanges again with the player. The action is repeated multiple times to trick the GTL into thinking that the value is correct" Though groups hoarding items and manipulating their value isn't against the rules, the GTL system needs to be updated accordingly to prevent it. Basically the group is taking advantage and presenting a false value indication for the majority of players through the GTL which I think is bullshit. Afaik you were 1 of the players inflating the values of elfbots. Just saying.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's market manipulation. As far as I am aware that is allowed. That's been happening to elfbot outfits for months. What players do is they buy the majority of them on gtl and keep listing them for ridiculous prices on the GTL for the hopes of a temporary price inflation. In my opinion adding price indication colours (Ones that highlight the value) on the GTL was a mistake. If a item keeps being listed by several players for a higher value than it's actual market price, the programming on the GTL would accept it as the norm and then further more give players an indication that it is a "Fair" price when in fact it's not.

I'll give a simple example. A person is listing items consecutively at 1000 pokeyen and gains an audience in a time span of let's say 10 minutes. The items he lists isn't generally worth a lot but obviously he is taking a few 100k loss doing this. In this process he now knows there are several players sniping his items as he lists them. These players try their best to click the fastest to purchase the item because they know it will be ridiculously cheap. In this instance the user can list an item for 10 million pokeyen between all the chaos and someone might make the tragic mistake and buy it. They intentionally wait for a person to make the mistake which is indirectly defrauding a player by luring them to make a "mistake purchase" I call it GTL-Fishing and it's done by shit players.

Afaik there are currently 2 shiny raikou active. That being said, of course the chances of encountering a shiny legendary is very low but not impossible. If you're looking to make a buck out of it I'd advise to sell while it is still generally high because no doubt the value will decrease in upcoming months. I'd still estimate the value to be between 2 and 3 bil.

Easiest way to check values of these mons is to search the gtl for other "Same egg group mons" with similar iv's and nature. That's the easiest eay to get a solid value
