  1. I really doubt the correct amount of water will reduce the time by a good 90%, because that's what we need. Even the handheld games, nobody bothered to sit around watching their berries grow for 8 hours. People went off and did their own thing while the berries grew because, believe it or not, plants can take care of themselves. As for the them dying when you aren't around, that never happened in the handheld games. They simply fell off and started growing again. There's a reason I never played FarmVille. I'd really rather it not be forced upon me here.
  2. While I do agree with this, I've had matches where my opponent was just rude and didn't deserve any sort of decency. There will always be people that either lack sportsmanship or just don't care about it. The winning player should not have to suffer because our opponent is bad.
  3. Oi... you just keep saying the same thing again and again and again. If this is the only argument anyone has against scaling down to 50, I don't know why this wasn't implemented the day the Battle Frontier came out.
  4. People are going to quit anyways. They just go about it different ways now. Would you rather set up a sweep and have someone go AFK for 180 seconds or push a button and end it right then?
  5. So far, all I've seen from you (or anyone, for that matter) is a very worn out point that Dragonair and Pupitar don't evolve until 55. Tell me, have you ever played gen 2 or 4? In gen 2, Lance had a Dragonite at level 50. I don't think he cared. In gen 4, ALL Pokemon were scaled down the 50 in the Battle Frontier. That unimportant little argument aside, tell me why Pokemon below level 60 should not be scaled down? Can you actually give a single good reason why that shouldn't be allowed? Because "people shouldn't level them past 50" isn't even worth the energy it takes to type. It happens and is an issue. It's going to continue happening and there's no way to stop it from happening.
  6. Now that we have to farm for hours and hours to get berries, EV-reducing berries are going to be more valuable than gold. Even if a person is able to get a maximum of 10 Pomeg or Grepa berries per plant, it would still take hours of running back and forth to make sure said plant doesn't die. Then, if you manage to get the maximum yield of 10 berries (I don't actually know what the max is for EV berries. This is just best case scenario), you have to do it four more times to reset the EV's on a Pokemon with 510. That's for ONE Pokemon. It would be less time-consuming to just breed another Pokemon of the same species and quality (assuming it's something basic like Ursaring or whatever and not something like Tauros or Eevee). If we could simply purchase these berries (which are absolutely necessary for competitive play. Even more so than Lum or Liechi berries) in exchange for the BP we're actually earning from these battles, this grind could be avoided and the time better spent on growing the berries we can't buy that are more useful in battle. Forcing us to grind for hours to get EV-reducing berries is just another nail in the coffin of creative, non-stagnant competitive play. Besides, we can buy vitamins, so why not their delicious, fruity counterpart?
  7. That would help the battle animations, sure. But what about the animations from using HM's outside of battle? Those are incredibly annoying and have been since the original handheld games. Besides, more options in how to play a game is rarely a bad thing.
  8. You are literally the only person with this opinion. Far more people would like to use their Dragonite and Tyranitar at level 50. The only possible flaw i could see for this is some flimsy excuse about breaking the lore. Difficulty does not factor into this. He said he doesn't want to bother remaking a Pokemon exactly the same just to battle in the Frontier with it.
  9. There was a thread on this a while back and one of the staff (can't remember who) said that flying between regions will not be possible for quite some time (if ever) because the two regions are not actually connected the same way the Sevii Islands are to Kanto. The Sevii Islands are part of the the FireRed rom and so Fly can transport you to them. Hoenn is not part of the same rom and is, instead, a completely separate piece of add-on content. Thus, it cannot be flown to from Kanto and vice versa. This is just what I remember and I'm no techie, so you'll have to ask a staff member for a better explanation.
  10. This would be nice, but the devs don't generally like to put anything in the Gift Shop that gives any sort of benefit when playing, even if it's just a buffed version of a currently-obtainable item. On another note, the devs are still working on a revamped EV system so changing the Amnesia Brace in that manner would be redundant.
  11. I don't think "highly unlikely" is quite right. There are countless other games and websites with this feature that all work quite well. Besides, if someone has your password and would even have a reason to change your email, they very likely have already stolen anything of value you might have. There's really no reason to try getting that account back apart from the storyline progress or your friends list. Minor inconveniences more than anything, really.
  12. This will not be fixed in the coming update. In Gen 3, "Open Level" scaled all enemy Pokemon to match your highest level with a minimum of 60. I don't understand why there isn't a 10-level grace period. If a person overlevels their Pokemon by 10 levels, they obviously hadn't planned to use that Pokemon in the Frontier. However, some Pokemon evolve (Dragonite and Tyranitar) and learn certain moves after level 50. None of these Pokemon have a reason to level past 60.
  13. It'd have to be a pretty serious wheelchair. I don't know of any that can roll up steps and mud slopes or balance on the Acro Bike beams.
  14. Well, changing the movement cycle would help with the girl, but the old man is already doing that. His standing position is just annoying because he's right in the middle of where everybody stands.
  15. This is really just a small thing that annoys me to no end. The old man and the lady near the PC in Vermilion are constantly in the way. The old man is always hidden in the crowd of people and I'm always bumping into him. The lady likes to step in front of you just as you go past her on your way to the docks. I was hoping they could be moved to somewhere less crowded like the empty lot with the Machop or near there.
  16. I don't know if this is a good idea. It seems pretty messy and, as you said, would likely require a lot of coding. I think we would end up with groups of people that just sit on the beach and wait for the items to respawn. There would be no chance for other players to get one of the items unless they were waiting, too.
  17. I like this idea, but I feel that the prizes you suggested would be too much. Maybe replace the Exp. Share, Lucky Egg, and vanity item with something less valuable. Or maybe increase the numbers of hours required to play each week. On the other hand, the devs may not want to implement something like this at all as it could be seen as excluding those players that don't have much free time during the week or rewarding those that do by helping them get ahead even faster (which is going to happen either way. It's undeniable that a player with more time to play a game is going to make more progress than a player with less time to play).
  18. "Supposed to work" Actually, the Open Level in Emerald scaled with your Pokemon as low as level 60. I don't know if this is what you meant, but I felt it should be mentioned.
  19. I believe you can also get Leftovers from wild Lotad. I was catching loads of them to breed and when i went to look at them in the PC, one of them had Leftovers. I'm certain it was one I caught and there's no reason to put Leftovers on a random Lotad. However, it must be exceedingly rare as I only ever found one in all the hunting I did.
  20. It's actually Open Level. As I'm sure you know, this means all enemy Pokemon scale to match your highest level. Once again, not a reason to level all the way to 100.
  21. If you're using Showdown as an example, you should that they ALSO have a forfeit button. Seriously, what the hell kind of multiplayer game doesn't have a forfeit button? That's just ridiculous.
  22. Be a girl. If you are not a girl, find a girl that doesn't mind acting like the most adorable thing in existence. If you can't do that, make a female character named "SuperKawaiiKitty" or some other ridiculous thing.
  23. Take a look a literally everything they've implemented in this game. Every feature has some sort of in-game explanation for why it works. How would you explain passing EV's through breeding? EV training is just like working out, like exercising. No matter how much your parents might exercise, you aren't going to gain any benefits from it. Their fitness is not part of your DNA. If you don't think this is the case, ask a dev.
  24. This has been suggested quite a few times. Every time it is, my only thought is: If a dad works out and gets muscular, that's not passed on to his kid. His bay is still born fat and pudgy. I think the reason the devs haven't implemented this is because it just doesn't fit into any sort of story. It's just too lore-breaking, i suppose.
  25. Then give us non-transferable rewards such as small amounts of RP or BP, rare candies, exclusive vanity items, etc... And for God's sake, "alot" is not a word. It's two words. Even spellcheck flags it as wrong.
