This actually sounds pretty cool. Seems like a better post season thing though, so good players in finals don't have to play two games that week. Lets do one of these right now for season 9, it'd be lit.

There needs to be some incentive keeping shit teams going in later weeks for this to be the case though. How do we do it boys?

Finales are boring. 2 teams taking too long to do matches too boring. Beginning of season is where hype is. The draft, auction, new team threads, picking new managers. It's fun times.

well I imagine zebra isn't going to show up and call a no contest and end the season without looking into the situation at all, lmao. so if all of what you said is true then maybe kanzo will get the activity win and it could go to tie breaker. i'm just saying though if it ends up as a no contest and you guys lose, don't be a uguu.

It seems to fucky to try and call it like this though. Like say kami and kanzo were friends (i know hard to imagine since they're both incredibly unlikeable) and this was the situation. If kami thinks that A) Kanzo will lose to Mihawk, or B) Kanzo could win but doesn't think they have a chance at the tie breaker, then Kami could just tell Kanzo to not show up for his match and make it an activity call that decides it, voiding his bet and saving him 5m. Now I don't think that's the case here by any means at all, I'm sure who ever spends their time reading posts for Kanzo who is obviously illiterate is just on vacation right now so he hasn't been able to schedule his match. But the point is that if something as simple as 1 activity decision could void any team based bets, then that would be an easy to abuse rule, so that would be nonsense. There's also the fact that in team vs team situations that a sub could be made, so there's really no way to say its an activity win since there's really no reason for a match to not get played some way or another. Obviously when betting on a single match you're betting on that person, but if that person's match doesn't happen then it's void for obvious reasons. But if you bet on an entire team and they lose 4-3 to a no contest and you cry about it then that'd be stupid.

That says Activity win bets. Activity wins are a thing with single matches, you wouldn't call the whole week an activity win for a team because of one no contest match. That's pooped.

It voids individual bets. Like I wouldn't win my 500k on mihawk if he got an activity win over kanzo, but activity wins have never made a difference on team bets.

Why would that be a thing? When has an activity call ever been a void for team bets?

Call it a no contest, end the season ,and make me 5m richer. All will be well in the world.

You're not taking into account that not every team can get 0 points each week, like say in that situation monkeys and buzzwoles still had to play each other, one of those teams is getting at least 5 more points, meaning that the second worst teams only chance of catching up is those teams tying, then monkeys getting at least 6-2'd, and then gain train winning every single match, able to lose 1-2 depending on if monkeys get 7-1'd or 8-0'd Realistically in a situation like that, you'll just consider it impossible and there won't be a whole lot of effort or hype left.

Playoffs/finals need to be set up in a team tournament type of way because sitting around waiting a week for matches to happen like this is boring and stupid. Problem with that is getting everyone online all at once is kinda hard. Problem with just saying winner of the round robin wins the whole thing is that a lot of teams lose a chance at the #1 spot early on, so the hype would just die way faster.

Problem with that is cradily being the most common set up poke like you said means you can't spore it for the combo.

I've already suggested this and I believe this was on Kyu's list of things that will be added to gtl when trade things get updated.
