  1. Though to be fair, even if the option to speed the game up was possible like many emulators have the option for, I usually play normally because sometimes when you use speed up, you accidentally click the wrong button or take the wrong turn that makes a certain task take longer than it would’ve otherwise. But I digress. And if we’re looking at the grinding, time doesn’t really dictate value persay. There’s other factors that really determine the value(s). Let’s take Gyms, E4, and Morimoto for example. What really maintains the value of currency for them isn’t their difficulty or time needed to beat them, but rather their cooldown times. You can be the fastest and take each one out in 3 or so turns or stretch the battle out for longevity. Either ways, cooldown time doesn’t change for after you beat them. Even if you were to use an in-game speed up, that speed up wouldn’t affect the real time timers. You’d still have to wait 20 hours after you beat Morimoto for a rematch. You’d still need to wait 18 hours to rematch Gyms. And of course, there’s other factors that even speed up wouldn’t affect; shinies having 1/30k rate, Chansey’s have high flee rate, and so on. Again, this is a suggestion for a feature that I feel indifferent about. But saying that adding it in would destroy value is absolutely incorrect.
  2. Gonna bump this suggestion. Because this needs to happen
  3. Time is irrelevant when it comes to battles like Gym/Morimoto/E4. The reason being is because of cool down. No matter if you beat them easily and quickly or have to draw it out and take longer, it doesn’t affect the cool down times for the Gyms/E4/Morimoto. Those cooldown times are what, in the end, are what really determines the value of the rematches, not the difficulty or the time it takes to beat them. A potential PvE exclusive feature it could be? Idk. It could be made so it only speeds up PvE matches, but PvP has to run naturally.
  4. At this point, I definitely believe that this discussion is too early to be discussed, whether it be HA’s, dungeons, or legendaries. Also considering the fact that we don’t even have Sinnoh yet, we’ve got to wait till we get Sinnoh until we get dungeons. When dungeons get closer, as in the next update(whenever the ‘ell that’ll be), that’s when we should be having these sorts of discussions. That way, we have time to make our arguments with clear and concise points and possibly provide any counter arguments that may arise.
  5. While I see where you're going with this, there is no need. Since it is common knowledge that Gyms have 18 hour cooldown and Morimoto 20.
  6. Due to the nerf, it, again, has been more overshadowed by D-Claw, to where the latter is competitively the better option in every way
  7. Would give Outrage the much needed spotlight. And it's not just those 3 that survive both base power versions of Outrage, anything that can resist Dragon or has physical bulk(like Milotic) can easily survive an Outrage and either use the other turns that it's locked into OR to either set up or just one shot with an Ice Beam or something. And again, 90 BP Outrage isn't that major of a difference compared to the 80 BP Dragon Claw.
  8. None of them can even dent mons like Metagross and Ferrothorn, even at 120 base power. And OR locks them in, so MG and FT can set up leech seed and agility respectively. And again, Outrage is only 10 BP above Dragon Claw, which isn't that significant of a difference. Especially considering that DC doesn't lock you in or confuse you after 2-3 turns.
  9. When in doubt, just Pay Day Tentacruel/Pelipper/Mantine at Battle Frontier. They’re $480-500 a kill. so you could make 16k after 32 pay day(s)
  10. Balance reasons. Give me some good examples. Because so far, looking at the current meta, they aren’t really good ones.
  11. I did the calculations for such, and even Garchomp with it's current Outrage can do nothing against Ferrothorn or Metagross. Former can again set up Leech Seed while Gar is locked into OR, and the later can just one shot Gar with Ice Punch. Example: (Outrage as it currently is, 90 BP) 252+ Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Metagross: 64-76 (21.2 - 25.2%) -- 0.1% chance to 4HKO 252+ Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 63-74 (17.8 - 21%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery (Outrage with 120 BP(as it should be)) 252+ Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Metagross: 86-102 (28.5 - 33.8%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO 252+ Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 84-99 (23.8 - 28.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
  12. 80 BP with Dragon Claw and 90 BP Outrage isn't at all a significant difference. Especially since something like Ferrothorn or Metagross can eat both of them up. With the former able to set up Leech Seed while you're locked into outrage.
  13. True to the title, Outrage needs to be buffed back up to 120. It has around the same base power as Dragon Claw. And the difference is that Dragon Claw doesn't lock you in for 2-3 turns and confuse you afterwards. So there's no reason to run Outrage over Dragon Claw.
  14. I say that they need to buff Outrage's base power back to 120 instead of 90. I mean, the reason it is so powerful is that it also has the drawback of confusion. Because as of right now, there is no real reason why you shouldn't run Dragon Claw over Outrage, since Dragon Claw doesn't grant confusion status. And there's no real difference between the 2.
  15. Gym leaders levels don’t get higher than 80-90. Only E4 hits the max 100.
  16. I concur as well. We should give teams more function/significance in the game.
  17. I do believe there needs to be a rework of the E4. I mean, the teams are completely inaccurate to each E4. Like, why does Lorelei have a Dragonite and Exeggutor when she's an Ice Type user? SImply put, they should adjust the E4 teams so their teams reflect more of their specialized type.
  18. While I do agree with the simplicity of LGPE, I did like how they had requirements you had to fulfill to take on the Gyms. Like having certain types or certain levels.
  19. So yes, in conclusion, this update did not fix the economy. To a degree, it actually made it worse. The economy has been broken and at this point, nothing can fix it. Now that we have arrived to this conclusion, the thread can be closed.
  20. Shiny Tenta #2. If this doesn't indicate that shiny rate is fair, don't know what would
  21. only a matter of time before you have to start paying to get your Pokemon healed at the Pokemon Center.
  22. What would be better is if they reverted it so you could sell seeds to NPCs again and getting paid for it.
  23. I don’t believe the demographic is mostly 18+, because the last time I checked, there isn’t exactly an “age restriction” here(which would actually be a pretty good idea come to think about it, but that would be for a different discussion)
