What are good fire types for hoenn?

Can get fire type after u beat Mauville, near the bushes at route 117 (maybe wrong route number) but it's left of the desert

I believe that Vulpix and torkoal are the best options, since they are easy to find, but If you need something rarer, you can search for torchic on the route outside of the Flannery's gym town. Numel/camerupt will be the last choice because of its typing and the fact that is 4x weak to water

Vulpix (Ninetales) is a great choice due to it's speed and movepool. Energy ball and Flamethrower alone are giving great coverage, while it also learns Extrasensory and Nasty Plot by itself, evolves easily and it's common in Mt. Pyre.

if you can ask to any friend for darumaka (which is cheap) it is an excellent option too

Overall, the best fire type from a foreign region could be Chandelure, thanks to its Fire/ghost typing and ability Flame body (used for eggs), Darmanitan,thanks to its attack and speed and any fire/fighting pokemon
