Would it be possible to trade eggs ? Just to hatch a box of eggs when you are shiny hunting takes about an hour. If we were able to trade eggs, we could hatch them on an alt. It won't change anything as far as I know. Saving hours of idle gameplay would be a much better experience of the game. Not that it would save us from PokeAFKMMO, but we could shiny hunt during that time !!
