Part 1: How to Find Sound IDs

Spoiler

While players can use the command "/bgm" in-game to obtain specific Track IDs, there is currently no way to use commands in-game to easily obtain Sound IDs. To see the list of Music IDs, use this Tutorial created by @Eggplant:

You can download the testing_sounds mod here to find any sounds that aren’t on the list below already. https://www.mediafire.com/file/n9dvni04rc9w4zi/testing_sounds.zip/file

Part 3: Change Sound IDs:

Spoiler

I usually use .wav files for any sound effects I change and I use .ogg files for any music I change.

Rename your file to the ID you want it to the sound ID you want it to replace.

Make sure your file is in the correct folder, sounds/2/ or sounds/4/.

You can also replace Pokemon's Cries by adding a sound file with the Pokemon's Pokedex number as the name in the /cries/ folder. The /cries/ folder goes in the root of the zip file, not in the sounds folder.

Highlight all of the folders, icons, xml files

Right Click one of them

Click "send to" zip file

Your zip file should look like this when you're done: (with your sounds added in sounds/2/ or sounds/4/).

Good luck! Reply with any IDs you want to share!

Edits:

Thank you to those replying with sound ids!!

where can I find the sounds folder?

Your /sounds/ folder should be in the root of your .zip file. It's in the same directory as the /cries/ folder, icon.png, and info.xml files are.

Then you can put your custom sounds (.wav, .mp4, .ogg) in the /sounds/2/ folder. I think there are also other PokeMMO related sounds in /sounds/10/

wow this is super creative i wonder how you figured this out. Anyway thanks for sharing. Do you have any ideas how to remove sounds for moves that repeat a single sound id like scald, spore and the healing sound? if you replace the specific id for those game seems to role whether it plays to play the id or not for each time the sound is supposed to be repeated.

ty! Do you mean removing only some sounds but not others? For me at least, I was able to completely remove the sounds of moves even if they repeated in quick succession (like Spore and Scald repeat 1718.wav) just by replacing it with the muted sound file.

Players can remove Spore and Scald by replacing 1718.wav, 1463.wav, 1376.wav and 1857.wav, 1718.wav respectively. However, I don't think they can remove Spore without removing parts of Scald. Is the healing sound repeated? It might be a different sound but from testing I think it's just 1559.wav right?

Also if the PokeMMO window is minimized the sound may get cut off or prevented from playing I think. But let me know I answered the wrong question or if the game is doing something different for you!

Has anyone found any more sound ids by now? I'm trying to find the level up and evolved ones but couldn't find them on here.

EDIT: Btw just to let people know, the sound ID for the exp gain is wrong; it's actually 1389.

Also, I found some new ones!

Exp bar fully filled: 1390

Level up jingle: 1766

Moves:

Peck: 1438

Tackle: 1424, plays twice

Gust: 1497, 1717

Thank you! I changed + added those and just updated the mod to find sound ids. With the addition of Johto some new sounds were added which is nice. It's kinda still annoying to look for them but it's there if anyone wants it
