Fratley
I doubt this request will be taken seriously, but it's better to suggest this and rant at the same time, rather than just rant. Most people probably won't even have need of this suggestion but... I'm sick to death of my posts randomly disappearing without knowing why. It's not like I'm posting porn or violent content, yknow, shit that I should expect to have deleted. And it's not like I can ask the moderator in a PM why s/he did it because there's no way to know WHO did it, so several times in the past I've gotten annoyed, made a post in Off-Topic or something, found out who it was and then PM'd them about it and got a satisfactory answer. So to cut that first part out, is there an option we can enable on the forum that would give us a notification like "X Moderator has removed/edited your post" or "X Moderator has locked/trashed your topic". I've never been muted in game, but I assume you get the name of the moderator muting you so you can take it up with them. I want the same kinda thing here. Link to comment
Kyu
As we do not write the forum software, we can't really do anything about it. You can pitch the idea on the IP.Board Forums at http://community.invisionpower.com/ Regarding moderation, you can PM any Global Moderator, point them to the topic your post was removed, and get an answer as to why your post was removed. That's better than kicking and screaming on Off-Topic. I'll go ahead and suggest it to IPB. Link to comment
JWingWangWong
I have no idea if this is helpful to understanding notifications but here http://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/advanced-and-developers/application/notifications-r190 Also as much as I like IPB, Xenforo was a lot more ergonomic and had a lot more features.
